Seriously if you want me to post some supplies over I can. I too love Robinsons squash (they have got a new flavour - blood orange...mmmm!) and Ribena. And hob nobs (chocolate obviously).
Where are you from? How long have you been living over there? Are you there for good? How are you finding it?
My sister is over in the US, she's been there for 5 years and is only a couple of hours drive away from you at Richland Tri Cities, we went down to Portland last time I was over visiting, and went skiing nearby. The thing we had packed in our case for her was Brown Sauce! She's just been over here and went back to US on Saturday.

mmmmm...brown sauce in a sausage sanger!! stop it, I want to come home!!!
I've been over here just over two years; before then i was living in Germany so it's been a while since I ws back in Blighty. I really miss home and so we won't be over here for too much longer - maybe another year. Kind of depends on what Friday brings us with the scan! We need the exchange rate to change too as it's far too expensive to come at the moment! It's very different from teh UK but we're enjoying it - Portland is very laid back and the area we live in is left over from the 70's so it makes life interesting! we're also close to the mountains for skiing and to the beach so I can't grumble!
thank you for the v kind offer of posting the essentials - i have a friend coming over from Ireland next week so I've just sent her the list - she'll
probably go nuts as she'll have to declare it all in customs but I've got cravings for english goodies now!!
10 days!! I know that will be a long 10 days but hang in there...and in the meantime join me on the paranoia train, i could do with teh company!!
Mandy, must be hard for you having your sis so far away. I miss my little sister like crazy. She was over in the summer but her supplies were all the UK gossip mags - was as happy as larry for days - they are SOOO much juicier than the american versions!! You probably went skiing at Mount Hood, it's really beautiful up there.
have a good rest of weekend ladies and take care of your fragile tummy's XXX
It seems I'm a couple of weeks behind most of you. I got my BFP on 9/4 (496) and my second HCG was 1700 3 days later. I went in today for the third one.
I guess I will be at 5 weeks tomorrow. I admit I"m a little nervous about the M/S. I bought some ginger ale, but I want to go buy some of the ginger candies just to be prepared. Do they sell those at regular grocery stores or is it just at Baby stores?
I'm in a panic as my M/S has gone!! should I be worried? Yesterday I felt crap in the morning but revived in the afternoon. This morning I got up and nearly fainted but the sickness has gone. I should be happy but now I'm worried... the sickness was at least a sign that something was happening. I know that this is probably paranoia but please someone tell me this is normal.
Hi Rebecca, apparantly this is quite normal.....but then I haven't had m/s at all and thats normal too!!!!!
I think it is also quite normal to worry about these things....roll on u/s to just put minds at rest. I told my sister that I thought I would feel better after my 1st scan...but now that I would feel better after my 2nd scan....she said this is normal too and she didn't feel a bit more secure until her 15th week. I want so much to just enjoy pregnant, and sometimes feel like I am spoilingthe experience for myself by worrying too much! It is likely to be my only time of pregnancy and should just make the most of all of it.

Hey Ellenm... it almost sounds with your beta results that you may be a twin carrier..... What do you think? How many did they put back in? My betas were around the same numbers (see below). In any event, WELCOME to the board...and to the April/May 2008 babies specifically...
Rebecca... only if you feel TOTALLY and I mean TOTALLY normal like you can eat anything you want, exercise freely without feeling tired, NO dizziness, NO weird smells AT ALL and NO food aversions AT ALL (like meat for instance - I cannot stomach even the thought of meat) would I even consider there MIGHT be something wrong. You are probably just going through part of the dynamic process of M/S. You know, I am really sick but while eating lunch today I felt almost "normal" it was only after I finished eating and began talking to co-workers that the nausea began to come back. It goes in cycles hun, you'll be just fine...
I have been suffering bad nausea (No vomiting just wretching esp when I brush my teeth) and exhaustion for the last 3 days (boy did it hit me this weekend...) and I have been laying down a lot (or sitting at work as we have training this week) and of course my dumb mind turned to "OMG, what if the babies detached? what if they're not growing? What if I am not sleeping or laying in the right position? Crazy right??? I went in for U/S #2 this morning and the babies are growing great and they both have HBs of 120+ We all get paranoid and its not fun because YES, we should be enjoying the fact that we are finally at this place of nurturing new life and adding to our families... We'll get past it and that's why we are all here - to support one another. That's what its all about isn't it? Love, support, nurture, family... You are all part of my family...
Love to you all,
Cocoa

B/G TWINS!!! Due 4/30/08 Born Friday April 4th, 2008 at 36w 2d Baby girl A 6 lbs 7 oz Baby boy B 6 lbs 3 oz
thanks cocoa (and Mandy); when I read your comment about meat I nearly wretched so i guess i'm ok, I'm jut having a bad day - I am so happy about this pregnancy but also so so petrified that I will lose the baby/s and will have to start all over again. Time has suddenly screeched to a halt which isn't helping.
We had 2 day 5's put back in - one grade A and one grade B. That first 496 number was 14dpt. I just had my 3rd one today, and that came back at 4476. I checked the doubling time on www.betabase and it is 52 hours. So i dont think it's twins, but I guess anything is possible. The U/S is next Tues, the 18th. Can't wait to see something so it can seem more REAL.
Hi Guys,
I was not having a good day yesterday, i have started bleeding in the late afternoon and there was a ton of blood, i was so upset and sure that i had miscarried. So, we went to the ER they did a very brutal exam and ultrasound and the heart beat was still there but there was a bunch of blood around the baby. I went to my doc today and the hb was there so was the blood, he gave me IV ( i still have nausea) and ordered a strict bed rest untill friday US. I guess we will see on friday but at this point it can go either way, i am trying to think positive though.
I hope i didn't scare anybody with my story, i just wanted to share.
Vlada.
Vlada...so sorry you have to go through this right now. Think positive...the heartbeat is there...the embie is there...
Hang in for your tough week, and know we are ALL thinking of you and your baby...
(I realize you won't be posting, as you are on bedrest. Sleep tight!)

Vlada, try not to worry too much. My friend is pregnant and she had quite a lot of bleeding in the early stages and assumed the worst. It turned out she had a really bad urine infection. She's all fine now and 20 weeks.
I'm off to the Norfolk coast for the rest of the week now to try ad take it easy and make the most of what has been a pathetic British summer. I'll speak to you all at the weekend!
