Congratulations nicaliw on your 24 eggs!!! WOW!! My ET is scheduled for Saturday and we are anxiously waiting to see how many of the 15 that fertilized will be "good" embryos to implant. Has your doctor suggested or mentioned how many they are going to transfer?? I think mine is saying 3 because we've had 3 unsuccessful IUIs under our belt. Rest up... I'm still feeling sore from time to time since my ER, which was yesterday.

BTW- I don't remember if you've mentioned before, but do you live in CA? I live in Southern OC. Just wondering! :D

Dream-baby, only 10 days left until beta. How is the wait? Are you going to POAS or are you going to wait?

Cornybaby, good luck with your ER today! I'm thinking of you!

Ann D, good luck tomorrow with you ET, how exciting. Is this a 3dt or 5dt? I am going to transfer 2 embies, only. My RE said that given all my tests were very reassuring with regard to my fertility he wouldn't be convinced to transfer more than 2. I think thats fine by me, I'd rather limit the pregnancy to twins. I don't live in CA, I actually live in the Denver area in CO, I moved here from England in 1996.

Anie, thats great, lots of embryos! When is your transfer? I don't know how many of mine fertilized yet, we'll get the call from the embryologist today with that news. I not too worried, they had already examined my husbands sperm prior to us leaving recovery yesterday and said it looked good for ICSI. So, we shall see...fingers crossed for at least a few to work with.

Good luck all of you, whatever stage you are at!!!!

Danyel... I'm sorry you felt rushed. I felt like that when I first was going through my gyno and considering going on Clomid. I would leave the office in tears because I didn't know what was going on. I think the best bet is to call the doctor's office back and clarify what you need to do tonight. You may want to also mention your anxiety about this procedure so that they don't rush you out of the office again.

The afternoon when I was waiting for the call of what time to take my trigger, I was worried because at 5pm I still hadn't received a call. I thought they had forgotten about me and I knew the office was closed for patients by that time. I freaked out, but was able to reach a live person at the office who helped me and told me the nurse was still in the process of making all the calls. When she called, I apologized for freaking out and she completely understood. My point is you're not alone feeling nervous and if you need clarifications call and ask to speak to the nurse. You can also ask her how many follicles you have. I'm sure she can look at your chart.

FYI- The night of my trigger, I had to take my Lupron, but no Follistim. I don't know if everyone is the same so that's why I think you should call the office. Let us know if you talk to them and get clarification. I wish I could give you a hug for this morning. I know how frustrating this can be, but know that you're not alone. :)

Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining in...

I am 36, husband 34.He has a 9 year old daughter from a previous marriage - she's fab :D

I've had 2 miscarriages around 7 weeks over the past 6 years.

Investigations show i'm ok but hubby's swimmers are a little 'confused'. :?

So we have had an ICSI programme, 8 eggs retreived, 7 fertilised. They turned out to not be the best in quality so we had the best one put in on Sat 2nd November.

It's such a long wait isn't it? My egg retreival day was Thurs 1st Nov, do you think I could test any earlier?

Still bloated, is this normal? Having some mild cramps in the evening but not like period cramps, could this still be the ovaries?

Thanks for your help and best of luck everyone :D

Update. The embryologist just called and said out of 24 eggs, 20 were mature, so they ICSI'd all 20 and 16 have fertilized. So, we have 16 little embryos YAY! Fingers crossed for smart little embies that divide well.

Congratulation nicaliw!! We're doing our transfer tomorrow (that's would be 3 days after ER) where we will know more about the quality of the 15 embryos. I'm getting a little nervous.

I think my dr. is saying to transfer 3 because we've tried IUI several times before and he wants to increase our likelihood of having a successful pregnancy. How many days of bed rest do you have to do?? Mine is 5 days.

Magic Magin... I haven't had my ET yet so I don't know what's normal as far as feeling bloated. Good luck to you! I am not looking forward to the 2ww, it IS a long time. When you ask if you could test earlier, do you mean try a home pregnancy test?

Hi Ann D, thank for letting me join in

Yes I have a home test here and one the hospital sent me home with for next Sat...

I'm in the UK and have a sister in law in New York, the treatment seems to be quite different between the 2 countries. One plus for me was that allof the injections are done with the auto injector so no nasty big needles! Am now on pessaries and progersterone tablets, nice to stop being a pin cusion!

Do you have bed rest recommended to you? I was just told to take it easy but carry on with normal daily life. I did take a week off work though just to be sure and have slept for England!! Am really tired over last couple of days and RAVENOUS so hope this is a good sign!

My sis in law has a 3 year old son from her first attempt, m/c the 2nd and is about to start her 3rd, wish she lived nearer. How ever good your friends are only someone going through it understands...

Best of luck for tomorrow - everything is crossed for you :P

PS apologies for the name but it's what my husband and step daughter call me so hoped it would be lucky!

Ann D, you must be so excited, tomorrows your big day. 5 days of bed rest, sounds great! My RE recommeded the rest of the day of transfer and the whole next day and night for bed rest. I have taken more time off work, though, so I won't be doing a whole lot of anything. The instructions for bed rest I was given was to lay flat with my head raised no more than 45 degrees, only to get up to go to the bathroom (no showers). Is your RE giving you some valium or something to help you relax for the transfer? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Your beta will be November 21st?

Magic Magin, Hi! So, you had your egg retrieval on Nov 1st and your transfer the very next day? I'd say you might be able to do an hpt 14 days after the retrieval, so that would be Nov 15th instead of the 17th. BUT I'm not an expert and don't know exactly what treatmet you've had. Did you have an HCG trigger shot? That usually stays in your system for 14 days (depending on the dose). What is the auto injector, I haven't heard of that? Also, where in the UK are you from? I'm from the Midlands, but have moved to Colorado.

Thank you Magic Magin and nicaliw for your well wishes! I will have to ask about specifics on whether it's okay for me to sit up or if I should stay no more than at a 45 degree angle. There was no valium prescribed although it sounds like something I could use since I'm little anxious about the whole thing.

Now as for the hpt, neither the nurses nor the dr . have ever said anything about being able to do this. In fact, I didn't think about doing so until I've read some of the posts on here. Is that something recommended or discouraged? Anyone know? Nicaliw- you mentioned something about the HCG shot being a factor. Does that mean you may run the chance of getting a false positive?
