Hope- You so rock. I love the "new" list. So cute. Yeah, I would probably be hesitant to look at stuff too. But dont worry, pretty soon you will feel comfortable and you will be shopping till you drop, like Nims & Peq!!!! OOOOOOhhhh so excited for your FIRST ob appointment!!!! I hope you get to see and hear your little one!!!

Steph-Hey girlie!!! Yeah, I bet that rebate does come in handy now that you have to buy two of everything. Have you looked at anything yet? Or are you waiting? You are going to find out the sex of the babies right? I wonder what you are having... b & g would be awesome!!! But healthy is all that matters right! This is your first baby(s) right?

Nims- AWWWW i loved hearing about your shopping spree!!! So sweet. Your pregnancy is flying by for me too! It seems you were just 12wks!!! Do you get any more U/S? How are you feeling, are you really uncomfortable?

Su- That is awesome that you have most of you stuff already!!! I still cannot believe you haven't found out the sex of your baby. But I think that is really sweet. Good for you. Do you have any feeling on what it might be? Sorry about the hirnea. I hope you arent hurting too much!!!

Nicaliw- Congratulations on your awesome beta!!!! (i am not one of the preggo ones, but I LOVE my friends... ) I bet you can't wait for your first scan!!!!

MOMMA MIA- you are MIA again. You and Peq ditching us? How are you? Any weight gain yet? Have you been to your OB yet?

Thanks for the info, Steph. Yeah, I would totally love to have a U/S on Friday, but I'm not counting on it. I figure if it happens, great, but at the very least, I'd like to hear the heartbeat to know that everything is still ok. That's my main concern... I fear that the progesterone is the reason (tho I'm not 100% sure) that I had the missed m/c last time... and since I'm still on it, I worry that if something were to go wrong that I may not know due to the progesterone. But! Only 7 more days of those and I'm done completely with all those drugs! WOO HOO! Your OB appt will be here soon. I hope you do get your U/S. I have a friend who is going to let me borrow her at-home Hb machine (whatever it's called) but she said she could never find the hb herself... hopefully I'll have better luck with it. Do you have one or are you going to get one?

Hugs & hellos to everyone else - gotta get rolling, going to try to get into work a little earlier than I have been (yikes) it's been taking me forever... I usually have to have 2 breakfasts (:( cause I lose the first one) and sometimes have to change clothes again (tmi - weak bladder ) I feel like an old granny. geez louise. Anyway, I don't have a lot of clothes that fit me these days and I can't keep wearing two sets a day! Hopefully today will go a little more smoothly.

Ok so I know I strated this thread and then bailed!! I had an interview out of town and stayed with my parents who have no wireless - so I didnt get online. I got back in town today and dh leaves for Moldova tomorrow. So I spent the day shopping and getting his clothes ready for him to pack! I am pooped. I did get to tell my parents and sister finally! They are very happy. I cant wait to find out if it will be my Mia - but that will have to wait till next months appt! I will be on later tomorrow hopefully.

Hope - good luck with your OB appt tomorrow - hope you get to heart beat however will say that I didn't get to hear mine until i think about 16 wks although I'm sure could have done it earlier. We brought a heart doppler however stressed us out more when we couldn't hear the h/b so we took it back!!

Mia - your family must be so thrilled for you - I'm surprised that you managed to hold on this long before you told them.

Mir - not long now!! Have you packed and are you ready?? I'm one of the fortunate ones and didn't suffer m/s - just accute tiredness which goes after a while - so feeling great at the moment - thank you for asking.

I counted up today how more working days I have - its only 36 !!! I'm so happy!! We have a couple of bank hols in May plus I'm going to Italy for a long w/end for a wedding so May will fly by and then its just June and by then I shall be on count down for definite.

Su, -how are you - did you find out in info ?

Everyone else ok? Sense there is not the same 'bond' going on at the mo but may be just imaging it too due to the split of threads.

Yeah, I think we have lost some momentum. I sincerely hope we haven't lost any buddies due to the recent changes. I love all you guys and miss all of you who we haven't heard from lately. But I know schedules can be crazy and I'm hoping that we'll hear back from everyone soon. Especially Peq - it's been a really long time. We miss you, sweetie... thinking of you.

Nims, congrats on only 36 more days!!!! Wow!! that's not long at all!

This is just a quickie - I have to get to work soon. Thanks for remembering my OB today... yup. First OB. I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited to be moving forward. My friends say that I might actually get a u/s today, I'm hopeful, but not counting on it. I've got a ton of questions for her, so it will probably take a while. She is fantastic and has the patience of Job, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her.

i'll check in later today or tomorrow with a report - which i hope is a good one!

Hi ladies -

Hope everyone had a great Friday. My OB appt went very well. Yes, we did get another U/S, but the equipment at my OB's office is not nearly as nice as that at the RE's... so picture isn't as clear on the monitor, or in the pics.

Our little one is doing just fine. He/she is measuring at 9w5d, so we're a few days ahead of schedule... which I'm hoping means he/she just takes after daddy (he's 6'3"). They couldn't do the heart rate (again with the dated equipment) but she said it looks just fine and is consistent with the 176 we had last time. I even got to see him/her wiggle! It was cute (except that the wiggling was inspired by the doc "wiggling" the u/s wand in me kinda weird, but good to see the movement - very cool!!)

My OB is fantastic. She was so patient and was so willing to take all the time necessary to answer all our questions - and I had quite a few!

Next appointment is FOUR weeks away... no more 2ww's for a few months! It's going to be weird to wait that long, but I'm feeling much more confident about everything moving along smoothly.

Now I've got myself a full tummy and feeling sleepy, time for a nap. ttyl

that is great news Hope. So they are not bringing you back at 12 weeks for the nuchal scan or are they doing it later?

we talked about the Nuchal. She said that if we want to do it, we need to call them back in the next couple of weeks to schedule it.

I'm guessing we will, but part of me doesn't want to know. I've worried enough getting to this point, and don't want scary test results which may mean nothing to cause more worry. She said that confirmation of anything would require either the CVS or amnio and I don't want to do either of those. And we're certainly not going to terminate under any circumstance... so it's a tough call, but like I said, I imagine we will do at least the nuchal... which will be nice just to have another scan... but she said we can do it in either week 12 or 13. And she did say that if we don't do the nuchal, we won't have another scan until week 18-20.

After all that rambling... yes, we'll probably have the nuchal in a few weeks, then the regular OB too - but no scan at the OB.

have you given thought to the CVS?

hi to everyone else!!! we're doing very well....lots of sleepless nights and loving every second of it!! elliana has a slightly blocked nose at the moment so feeling quite sorry for her as she's struggling to breathe. but her sneezes are sorting it out!!
