Hi everyone- :)

Here is how I am looking after BW and US this morning:

My lining is 14mm
Right Ovary - 2.3,2.3,1.75,1.2, they didn't give me numbers for the ones that were tiny.
Left Ovary - 2.5,2.1, 1.8,1.8,1.4,1.3, 1.0 and so on
E2 level - ? I forgot to ask

My dosage lowered this evening and then I trigger tonight at 9:00. I am
scheduled for ER Mon at 8:00. It looks like a few of us trigger this weekend.
alimoyni - your numbers look great! How are your ovaries feeling?

I am exhausted so I am going to tack a nap. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Kimmy - not sure what lining was day of ET but doc was raving about it. Good enough for me.

Elizabeth - we have family in town until Tuesday. Then I'll be working and we're going camping next weekend. Add in some light excercise and I'm hoping that the time won't be dragging by. Hope you're feeling better! The days just prior to ER were the worst IMHO.

Baby dust to everyone!

ndgo82- Bummer about the cramping. Now you are in your 2ww :)
When are you planning to POAS, or are you?

Rosario- 14 follies are great. I find it interesting that you and some others trigger the day before retrieval. I have a two day wait. hmmm?

Kerpupples - Your weekend sounds wonderful. I really want to get up in the hills for some camping. Maybe in a couple of weeks. Where are you planning to camp? When are you planning to POAS?

Sha1
- Is your ER on schedule? I betting you are getting excited for your vacation and for this process to finish up. I think I might need to book something somewhere because this hanging around and waiting for time to fly is getting old.

alimoyni- Keep growiing follies, keep growing

truebeliever- How did the transfer go? Hope you are feeling good.

As for me I go in at 7:00 for an 8:00 retrieval. I am excited, and a bit uncomfortable because my ovaries are huge...I have to keep unbuttoning my pants. My DH insists that we relax...I am pretty sure he is enjoying this down time. We are usually very active, but lately we have been hanging near the house.

Wishing everyong well. Take with everyone soon.

Hi everyone,

I am scheduled to see the doctor tomorrow morning just for blood work, my ultra sound is scheduled for Thursday, I will probably have ER on Sunday I'm guessing; this is how it's been the last two times.

emfossum: I am also 40, going to be 41 the end of the month, because of our age they will never to a 5 day transfer. Embryo’s have a better chance of making it inside our body. Since we are older they will transfer more embryos then if we were in our twenties or even thirties.

They only reason for a 5 day transfer is to weed out the not so good embryos and try to eliminate multiple births; so they would only transfer a few of the best. My last IVF they transferred five embryos and one actually took; which ended in a miscarriage.
You are doing fine keep us posted.

Had my last ultrasound today. Had 17 follicles. 5 are >18mm and another 6 are >15mm. I will trigger tonight at 8pm and go in Wednesday at 8am for ER. That should give me at least 10 mature eggs by then, maybe more if the smallish ones grow.

emfossum:Hope you had a good ER today, post later today/tomorrow to let us know how it went.

To those few in the 2WW, keep up the good vibes and I am praying they stick and continue to grow.

ndgo82- Woo hoo- faint line is great. I hope this week flies by!

I had ER this morning. It went very well...I am a bit sore, but overall I feel fine. I took a tylenol, but I don't think I really needed it.

They retrieved 13 eggs, and now I have to wait until tomorrow morning for the fert report. I think this part is harder than the retrieval. It seems like it is almost a given that with 14 follies I would get some eggs. Now is the real test to see how good they are and it they fertilize. So wish me luck. My family has been super supportive, and my DH couldn't be any better. Trust...that is what I am working on at the moment...trust and faith.

Wishing all of you the very best. :) Please keep us posted.

Hello to you all. I have been a silent watcher of this thread. Emfossum, I just had to post to wish you well. I too am 41 and doing my first IVF cycle. I had by tests for day 5 yesterday. My E2 level was 1625. I have no idea if that is good or bad. I go in for my first u/s tomorrow. I am really hoping to have alot of eggs. I understand that the more you have the greater the chances of success. Emfossum, I am looking at transferring 3. Would you do only 2 if the grade was really high???

Hi Biddy, and thank you for your well wishes. I wish you the best as well with a lot of follies.

Here are my levels of E2
7/30 - Est - 1138 (this would have been my day 5)
8/1 - Est - 2625
8/2 - Est - 3256 - Triggered at 9:00 pm
8/3 - Est - Shoot I forgot to ask, but I did reduce my Gonal F that evening from 300 units to 150 units.

I was told these numbers are good as long as they continue to rise. However, they don't want them too high to avoid over stimulation.
So 1625 looks like a good number and you should see this rise daily.
I have been throwing this around a lot and it looks like the common protocal for our age bracket, with my clinic, is 3 or more because of age alone. My RE gave a statistic that they indicates our eggs have a much higher chance of having abnormal chromosomes, and therefore fail to implant, or end up in chemical pregnancy. They reduce the odds by increasing the amount of embies. They also opt for earlier 3DT unless they have a very good amount of good embies. They really don't want to take the risk. The catch is 3DT don't have many cells and it is harder to determine how viable the embie is so this looks to be offset by implanting more embies. I personally feel comfortable with 3, I think...don't mark my words because once I hear the grade I may change my mind! Oh my goodness...there is so much to think about. What has your clinic told you about what they reccommend
