To test or not to test...

Hi Ladies,

I took my HPT test this morning and it gave me a YES +. I am so happy right now!!! My husband did not want me to test early but when I woke him up at 4AM to tell him, he was elated. I tried to go back to sleep but have laying there wide awake for 2 hours. And how funny is this, I'm sharing this news with all you before I even tell my family .

I have my first beta on Friday, so now I have to hope the number is good, as last time I was pregnant but with a very low number, 7, and miscarried at 6 weeks.

Onemorebaby, I think Monday may have been to early to test, are you going to try again today or tomorrow? Let me know how it goes.

Kimmysq, thank you for the positive thinking.

Marynaz, how crazy. We did our first IUI at that clinic and they were so rude I told my doctor I wouldn't return. My nurse tried talking to them and they were rude to her also. That is when they referred me to my new clinic.

I'll be checking in to see how all of you are doing and update you on my beta test Friday

HOOOOOORAY Hopeful!!! I am so excited for you!!!

I called my clinic yesterday to find out how to proceed with my frozen embies, the nurse chewed me out for even asking. She told me to forget Mondays test... gave me (a little tiny bit) hope that I could still be pg. Nice to have that hope, I am realistic though.

Hopeful, we will be having our Betas on the same day! That gives me something to smile about!

Tortillachip, I will be gone most of the day, but exptect to see a POSITIVE update when I return. Good luck, make that number double... or more!

Congrat on your positive HPT. I am so glad for you. I am sure your numbers are higher since it shows on Wed. morning 2 days before your Beta. Take care of your baby:)

Onemorebaby, Glad that you think positive. I am sure it was early and you will get BPF on Friday.

onemorebaby: I just read that you got your -ive on HPT on Monday but your beta isn't until Friday? Well I too have my beta on Friday, and didn't get my BFP on HPT until this morning!! So you HAVE To try again!! I used a First Response Early Result test, not one of the digitals like I did the day before and got a big NO on it.

HopefulInSD: Congrats on your BFP HPT!! My beta is also Friday, and I just got my BFP on HPT this morning!

JDC: I'm like you. I haven't been getting a thing done at work. I'm just here taking up space!

mgpasco: I also heard the Dollar Store tests were really sensitive. There is a website called peeonastick.com!! It compares all the different brands and how sensitive they are.

kimmysq: 10dp3dt is very early. Someone on another board did, too and only got like a 6. My clinic does all betas 14dpt. I'm not feeling any symptoms either.

Thank you Onemorebaby, Marynaz, and jharris12 ... and congrats on your positive!!! I actually used the First Response Early Result "Gold" which is digital. It apparently is suppose to be very sensitive. I didn't want to worry about misreading the results

I'm off to meet a friend for lunch so those of you at work try to be productive as possible

Hello Ladies!!! Well, I broke down and did a HPT at 6:00 am this morning and got a BFN.

Then I got to work and my period had started.

So, I am not very hopeful that my Beta tomorrow will be positive. I thought that I would be more upset than I am. I think that I was kinda expecting a BFN given the way my body has felt during the 2WW. I'm sure that it will really hit me tomorrow after the Beta test. Think that I probably will take a few months off and give my body a break.

nickyb: I'm so sorry your test was -ive. I have heard of women getting negative HPT's but positve betas. Did you get a full flow period? I wish you the best. I knew with my first cycle it would be negative, got the -ive HPT, but it wasn't until the nurse called that it really hit me. SO make sure to take time for yourself. We are all here for you.

ndgo82: I didn't get a positive HPT until I was 12dp3dt. So you may still be a little early. When is your beta?

Hopeful in SD: I used a First Response Gold digital this morning, too!! It felt so good to see that big YES+!!! Congrats to you!!

jharris my beta is the 14th so next Thursday.
I got a faint line on day 3dp5dt but it might have been trigger.
Then on 5dp5dt I got a bfn. I'm hoping it's still to early for
a beta to show or poas. I'll just have to wait.

Well, I broke down and POAS. I used Answer and First Respone early. They both showed a faint +++ line. I am so excited! I am 8dp3dt (FET).
My beta is Saturday.

nickyb: Don't give up until your beta! There has been great success stories on this board.

ndgo82: I think you may be a little early to test if your beta isn't until next Thursday.

Hopeful and JHarris. I think I may try to FRED gold tomorrow am. Still nervous it may scream "not pg" at me. I am thrilled for you both!

One more baby: keep up the pma, and I hope you get your ++ hpt before that!

Congrat on your positive HPT. It is very good news. I did HPT yesterday and got BFN.

it was so sad but I didn't tell DH because I still have hope it is too early as we are getting closer to Monday I feel more depress but I can't do anything just wait wait and more wait.

Sorry to hear that you got your AF. I have heard as long as we are on PIO we do not get AF. Are you on PIO? Anyway there is always hope and there is also net time. I am sure our time comes one day.

You are still early! My beta is Saturday, and yours is Monday. Don't give up hope! I haave had hardly any symptoms until last night, and then I had quite a bit of cramping.

Kimmy: thanks and congrats to you. I’m sure the FRED gold will give you a yes+ if you got a ++++ today.

Jharris: I did another one today and I agree, the yes + felt great to finally see. I lost count on how many BFN’s I’ve had since TTC.

Marynaz: I agree with kimmy, you are to early. If I remember correctly Ivfnurse said we shouldn’t test more than 2-3 days before our beta. Hang in there and try again on Saturday, that will give you a more accurate reading.

Ndgo: I agree with kimmy, you are early to test. If you can, try to hold off using an HPT until 2 or 3 days prior to your beta. Keep your chin up.

Nickyb: I know this is tough but hang in there and don’t give up until you get that beta. We are all for you!

Onemorebaby: I can’t wait to hear your good beta!!!
