wonderce- my beta numbers were as follow. 13dp5dt 1700, 16dp5dt 6067, 20dp5dt 15557. by the look of your beta it could be one or two, but as you said there is no way for sure to tell until after the u/s.
thanks everyone!

so excited for everyone!

Post by kb2131 »

We are so excited for all of you ladies :) DW is doing great-very very tired. Tonight she looked at me and said-is it 10:30pm and I said no it's 8! I guess it's a good sign. Our US is monday and then out of town to visit family for Thanksgiving. We are so happy we are having the US before Thanksgiving.

Wow triplets! how exciting!

I love that we found this post and we are so grateful to have support.
Is everyone still taking progesterone/estradiol patches/baby aspirin since their positive hcg? The RE said we will stop estradiol/asa after US and then continue progesterone until 2nd trimester. is anyone else similar?

Ayannelli, you're so right. We are all definitely different and I'm still amazed at how varied all of the protocols and treatment plans can be with IVF. I love both of my RE's, I actually have one locally that did all of my scans through stimming and will continue seeing me through my first few u/s, and one at the IVF clinic I went to in SC. Unfortunately my local RE only does IUI's. I saw him for 2 1/2 years before we tried IVF. Either way, I'm glad they have both been very involved.

Bonnie, I've also been feeling extra tired the past couple of weeks. It makes me smile because I know it's a good sign.

Wantamiraclebaby, thanks for the #'s. I'm trying not to read too much into it until next week. I will be elated with however many God has helped give me.

KB2131, so it sounds like you and your DW are both involved on this board. I'm always talking to my DH about the friends I feel I've made on this site. I have learned so much from all of the postings. I'm still on the progest supp through week 9, but came off the estrogen patches after my 4th week. I was never on baby aspirin. That sounds similar to your DW.

Hi Elida, welcome! I think you and I were on the other board together. So glad we're here. Very ironic about your due date. That is your lucky day!

BTW, does anyone have recommendations for the nausea? I haven't actually gotten sick but can't seem to eat much in the mornings or afternoons, and already had problems with indigestion before pregnancy so it seems a little worse. I don't want to under-nourish my little one and have read so much about being sure to get so many servings of each food group. Anyone else having problems?

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say hi and am glad that everyone is sharing so much information.

I am also going though the fatigue and being tired. Come 7:30 and I am pooped!!! But I have been reading that at this beginning stage there is so much change and growth the being tired is almost expected.

Also for the nausea, I have found that getting some of those sour apple candies does wonders. I first read about it and then got some at the store and it does something that really relieved things for me.

If anyone of you try the sour apple candy and it works I would love to hear.

Have a great day everyone.

Talk to you soon!!!!

I read that for the nausea you can get ginger pops (Babies R Us supposedly has them) which should help-- but for me, as with all food right now, nothing sounds appealing at all! I also have heard the trick is to eat a number of small meals and try not to be really full or have an empty stomach. Again- I've found that hard because food just hasn't sounded good.

Does anyone know how long the progesterone injections will go on? Is it the entire first trimester?

it sounds like everyone is progressing along beautifully! that is so nice to hear. since my last pg ended in miscarriage at about 10 weeks, i am still super nervous about everything. every little cramp i have freaks me out. im trying to remain calm and centered and all of that stuff but i think subconsciously i am terrified of the heartbreak again. is anybody else having crampy feelings in their really low abs? or like a random sharp pain in ovary area? doc says its cuz my ovaries are enormous (overstim) but that's not very comforting.
as far as progesterone shots/suppositories i heard that they stop at like 10 weeks. they just want to make sure the progesterone is high enough to get thru the tough part!
wannamiraclebaby-i am so very excited for your triplets! you give us all hope i think :D
much hope-same due date? that's a good omen!
don't know much about nausea. i don't have it. i am hungry and (sadly) don't have the no eating problem  but i am parched all the time. orange gatorade seems to be the most wonderful thing in the world!

Thanks for the nausea tips. I'll give some of them a try and see if it helps.

Daizyp, I don't do the progesterone injections but am using the suppositories so I'm not sure if the length of time is different.

KB2131, glad you are staying calm. I've experienced a pain here and there and it caught me a bit off guard. I guess it's normal? I will feel better after my u/s. I'm sure it's not uncommon though, especially if your ovaries are enlarged.

So I'm still struggling about when to start telling people. I've had to flat out lie to a couple of friends when they asked because I'm not ready to tell yet. I hope they understand once I do tell them. I know I'll see some other friends over the Thanksgiving holiday and am trying to think how I can dodge the subject. My DH thinks I'm being silly and that there is always a chance for loss, no matter when we tell our friends. I just don't want to jinx anything. He is agreeing to keep our secret for now. It's really hard though because I'm sooo excited and really want to tell the whole world!

wonderce when is your ultrasound? we will keep you in our thoughts on that day!
I noticed on your ticker it says 6 weeks 0days. how did you figure that out? we don't know how far we are along yet as we have had 3 good betas that more than doubled each time but not an US until Monday. Are you just basing the date off of your last period?
just wondering!

Just got back from our first u/s-- good news! Just one baby- growing well with a visible solid heartbeat (which he was surprised to see since I am just barely 6 weeks)! So relieved- it was torture when the RE's office was running about 30 minutes late! Ugh. FYI- my RE is discontinuing my daily progesterone shots and switching me to once a week hydroxyprogesterone- which continues until right after the New Year for me.

Also- for those of you experiencing cramping- FYI that I had cramping too-- as recently as this Monday-- and clearly that was not an issue. So positive thoughts to all of you!!

finally figured it out! based on DW's last period, we are 5w3d! based on that website jerseygirl sent we are due july 20th! thanks :) So the US monday will be at 6 weeks-do any of you know what to expect at this US? Is it normal to see a heartbeat as daisy did or ok if we don't? I think we will have such a sense of relief after monday-not 100% but better :)
Daisy so happy for you!
wonderce-we are dealing with the same thing-we told just DW's mom and a few others as we are so scared to tell and then something happen-especially considering what we went through last time. It was hard enough with the miscarriage and then even harder telling friends/family. I think you should wait to tell until you feel it's right-everyone is different :D here's wishing everyone the best of luck!

KB, I go next Tuesday for my first u/s. Thanks for thinking of me! I see you figured out your due date by using the link, but my RE's nurse figured it out and told me. I guess she based it on my ET date.

Daizy, congrats on your first u/s! That must be a relief and glad to hear you can stop the daily shots. The less needles the better.

I am kind of nervous. All of you have really tired symptoms and nausea... I don't have either. My other post about being tired was weird because I was wiped but I tried to sleep and couldn't which isn't normal for me. Then I ended up having flu like chills/aches/bach aches the other night and then I was fine the next day. It was weird. OB ordered another blood draw and my beta only went from 2200 to 3500 from Monday to Thursday... 4 days and not a double. Not cool... And added to that, not a lot of symptoms happening. I've been really hormonal but no sore boobs, or anything. I don't really know at this point what to do. I will call OB in the morning to discuss my results and see what's next.
