I know what you mean by not doing it in front of your DD
You do your shots in the am? I was told to decide a time between 4pm and midnight. You are doing yours on your belly? you feel it hurting more? so is not just me! sorry for you :( It's just good to know that is not my mind
I'm not doing nothing! only shots. Last night I was telling DH about accupuncture in the future. But not sure :?

Ladies,
Yesterday got me period and my clinic wants to put me on birth control pill starting from day 4 and then to call in the end of next week to schedule an appointment for ultrasound.
Can someone inform me how long you where in BCP( birth control pills) before you started with injection? Do I need to wait for the AF to come after BCP or I start injections in this cycle?
In the meantime I’m waiting for blood results for me and my husband and praying for good.
We do not have any insurance so we have to pay for all tests and IVF process from our own packet. I really pray that our first time will be positive for us, otherwise except of the desperation (I can not imagine it) we have to think how to find money for another procedure if needed.
Ladies, hoping to continue our forum and to share our own experiences through our process…
I wish and pray for success for all of you

Hey! Good luck on your cycle! We really wish you all the best!

I have a question with regard to why some clinics put you on BCP while others do not. I was told by my clinic to wait for my AF and then start with Aygestin and Lupron two days later. Others are being told to start on BCPs. Im assuming the BCPs are to control your period and make it come on (like for those people who dont menstruate at all) but if you already got your AF, why would they need to put you on the BCPs. Any thoughts?

i was put on BCP ( i actually did the nuvaring and loved it--very simple) and i think its so your ovaries calm down and they can be more regulated. also--i have PCOS and it cleared up my cysts in my ovaries. i was on it for about 2 weeks (with both my IUI and this IVF round) then a couple days after you stop the BCP you will bleed. it starts your cycle. so where a normal person would have a month to get pregnant it takes me 6 weeks if you throw in the 2 weeks of BCP. does this help??. i really think its so the clinic can more strictly control you ovaries and your follicle growing. i have no idea why some do it and some don't. so i started my menopor injections last night and have cramping ever since. anyone else experience this? i hope this is normal.

I've been on Lupron shots for two weeks now and start stimming on Sunday. I've had all of my shots in my stomach. The left side seems to bother me more than my right, but not too bad. I'm terrified of needles and haven't looked at a single one - DH has had to take that on! He's done a pretty good job. I've only had one little bruise and that was from the first weekend we had to get up to do the shots in the morning. I think he didn't pinch long enough and then tried to stick it in too slow. After that, I made him watch the video again :)

Yeah, my husband is a little to excited about giving me the shots! Makes me kinda nervous! I think I am going to try in the stomach and see how that goes! I'm so excited to finally be doing shots though, I didn't think this day was ever going to come!!!

I had pretty bad headaches the first two days of the lupron but they got better after that for the most part...at least until they lowered my dosage after the suppression check and I had another two days of headaches. Today is much better. I know, after all the waiting, it's exciting to finally get started! I am a little nervous about the next week or so once I start the stims, but in a month or so...hopefully good news!!

Yeah, I'm sure I'll get some lovely side effects too! It was horrible when I was on Clomid, so I'm sure this will be just as bad if not worse!!! We'll see! It's nice to be able to talk you guys about it though, none of my friends or family have ever been through this, so they don't understand!

I think stomach is alot better as it is less painful .. thats what i've experienced .. yeah left side hurts a bit more than right side ( i dunno why )plus I do it myself... I think you should try belly first and see how it works for you .. good luck!!!!

So, I did my first Lupron shot last night! Did the left side of the stomach. DH went in too slow so it kinda hurt, then it stung, then it itched! Is that normal? There were also these little red bumps, kinda like little critter bites, that lasted a little while then went away. Anyone else have that? I'm scared that we did it wrong or something. All in all, it wasn't too bad! Don't think I will be able to give them to myself though!
