Hello all,
Dizzy - welcome - a number of us are late FCB's. I'm testing 12th march. Not sure where the chocolate one came from either. Somewhere on this site. Doesn't it release a stimulant / hormone or something?
Belinda - hope your dog is alright. let me know or else I'll carry on worrying about it.
We seem to be a group of buddies who like our pets. I've had my dog for 8 years now - she's lovely, and is of course my surrogate baby. I am negotiating with dp at the moment to allow me to get another puppy, but we haven't come to an agreement yet. He's rational and I'm entirely irrational but determined!!
My 2 weeks of sniffings seems to be lasting for ages. Have my scan and bloods on friday and should start the injections then if alls well.
I have put on half a stone (cannot stop eating), but other than that have no side effects - i'm not grumpy, tearful or emotional. I actually feel really good. I am therefore getting worried that the drugs aren't working. Is any else not affected by the sniffing?

Speak to you all soon. ++++++++ ive vibes to us all.
From Sophie Jane.

Hey gals,
Well, my beautiful Barney (Australian cattle dog cross) is fine, he was diagnosed with cancer Christmas eve  , so we are quite concerned when more lumps appear, we're getting this one removed, but the lovely vey is reasonably confident this is just a benign cyst and nothing more. We also have a little girl dog named Holly, she is truly my baby, she's a Caveleir King Charles Spaniel, and quite divine really. I love that we're dog people on the FCB thread, means we're practiced for our other babies that are coming very very soon (PMA girls!!! :D :D :D ).
Dizzy, I think chocolate is out becuase of the caffeine connection, I understand that there is a slightly higher chance of m/c with high caffeine intake..does anyone else have any other ideas?
Chat soon girls, day six for me today, start testing fro LH surge on Monday, dh and I also go out for a flash brekky on the days of testing, so I very much look forward to that!
See ya!

Hi girls

Glad to see you are all well, its looking like most of us will test in March now.

Bel, glad to hear your dog is ok.

Had a great time in London this weekend, came back with Bertie boots, a new handbag & earrings. At least when you buy accesories they still fit when your belly is all swollen. We did lots of shopping, eating, went to the Clapham Grand which was fab and went to see Jerry Springer the opera   which was fantastic. Although I'm not overly happy about not being ready to start injections it meant I could eat what I wanted, and boy did I eat. Didn't drink much at all 2 glasses of sangria on the Thursday and 2 Bacardi Breezers on the Friday. However, I then had to do an injection on Friday night and wound up feeling terrible, sore head, feeling sick and really sore leg. For some reason I always seem to get dodgy side effects when combining alcohol with Buserlin, I had the drinks with lunch about 1ish then didn't do the injection till 9, I remember this happened last time and with the nasal spray I just burst in to tears with the slightest whif of alcohol.

Anyone else noticed side effects like this? You wouldn't mind so much if you were out on the drink all the time but its a bit annoying with the amount I consume these days. Strange :?

Did anyone else read Real magazines article about IVF, it made us all sound like desperate nutcases with no idea about what was involved?

Speak to you all later.

Wendy :)

Hi gals,

Gem, butt in any time I say..I love ruby cav's, they're just divine..My Holly is a blenheim and very very beautiful, she is quite petite, she was the runt of the litter, and was my partner in crime for my single life before I met my dh John. She has been rather put out over the past couple of years that she has been pushed out of my bed, but she has got by! Look forward to hearing your news in March, did we cycle together in October?

Wendy, glad that you had a great time in London. I loved my London holiday, apart from the bloody cold conditions, was excellent shopping and some great sight seeing! What on earth are Bertie Boots? (have to ask!!!)

Susan, good luck with your injections, we can be late FCB's together, there are a few of us!

Sophie Jane, thanks for your concern re. my Barney, my dogs are incredibly precious to dh and I!, he is booked for his uperation next Wednesday, so dh will take the day fof work to tend to his needs!

Take care all

If you love animals it is a great day out.Went away with dh for the weekend lots of great food and wine and no mention of ivf it was great.Well looking forward to next tmt.

Gem good to hear from you hope all goes well with your follow up. Traci glad you are keeping an eye on us all. Have you had anymore test done.Hope I have not missed anyone.

Hi all,
Ive had a terrible 2 days. Been hit by the worst migraine ever. I'm prescribed tablets by the doctor and took some of these yesterday and then this morning. Then needed to take another one as the pain was so bad but then pannicked thinking I may not be able to take them with buserlin spray. Was on the phone to the clinic crying. The consultant phoned me back and said I can take any tablets up untill 2ww. He said the migraine might be because the drugs are making me menopausal. This made me cry for hours as I'm only 31 and the thought of having a menopause made me devastated ... even though I know its not for real and its the drugs.
So after I've been breezing through the first lot of drugs I've now been hit real bad. I really hope the migraines don't continue.
I've got my first scan tomorrow, and start the injections. I hope everythings going to plan, and that there will be no set backs. I've had af this week so I think that is good news. I'm nervous as I'm not sure what the scan will tell me tomorrow. I'm a novice. If any of you are on line could you let me know what the scan tomorrow will show.
Sorry to moan..... I'll go and have a cuddle with the dog and dp.

But before I go I hope you FCB's are all well. Wendy Glad Barney is OK. I'm pleased you're on the roll with the treatment. My ec is booked for 25th Feb as well.
Loopy and Susan - I'm curious about all your injections. How comes you are injecting buserlin (I'm sniffing that).
Loopy - White German shepherd ... lovely. They've always been my favourite. I've got a GS X collie X greyhound. mmm weird!
July Ann - is there any room left in your house after having 2 bulmastifs - or have you got a mansion?
Hope everyone else is OK. Not too long to go now until we all get our positive news!!!
From Sophie-Jane

I'll tell dp that you all thinks its a good idea to get another puppy!! As he's feeling sorry for me at the mo he might agree! Yippee

hi

just wanted to post to traci. We all feel negative at some point. I try not to post when i'm feeling like that as people like you are always so positive and I feel bad when I can not get a grip..I always read your posts and you always make me smile.
You must post as you need to let the negative out it really helps. You have been a great help to so many people on this site and when people are down you try and give some kind word. Well what I'm trying to say is we love you positive or negative and want to be here for you through good and bad times.

hope to catch up soon

Hi,

I just wanted to say hello and ask is it OK if I join the FCBs, even if I'm not a dog person  I left the JCBs today as my 2WW from a natural FET ended this morning with a negative. We're going straight into an assisted FET and I started on the Progynova this afternoon. Feeling a bit odd and bloated, probably psychosomatic or the combination of the end of AF coupled with the pills. My first scan is the 20th so, thinking very positively about defrosting rates etc., I might ET around the 26th or 27th. This will be our 3rd and final attempt at tmt. We were lucky/blessed/happiest people alive first time round in 2002 and are now using the eggs we froze from then. We've just got 2 left.

Also wanted to say Traci, you're fab! Sorry you're feeling low. You've been so sweet during my 2WW. We told almost no one what we were doing, and certainly no one who had a clue what it was like - it makes all the difference in the world to talk to people who understand. Thank you. Uh oh, feeling very weepy, hope this is the pills.

Bel B, just reading your posts takes me away from here, and the minus 11 back to when I lived in NSW for a year.....BLISS!

love and +++++ thoughts all round,
Debra.
