Dagny

I love it when I am right and a plan comes together - and I said EC on Saturday didn't I and ET monday - I was right.
Well done you - you have done really well and I reckon this is just meant to be......
As for Dh and the weekend etc - what a bugger and his ex  I would go for the liver excuse but ask them not to say anything to your parents as do not want them to worry at this stage. Or just lie and say you have to have some blood tests that the clinic thought useful after Katelyn died and have forgotten about them until now - these need to be done now for the file or you have to pay more or some such twaddle......

Good luck honey
Love
Tracey

I am quite excited about having EC tomorrow which is strange. I hope I am not heading for a huge fall with 40 follies and no eggs. Has that ever happened??

Good morning all

My EC was a painful one  I don't think they gave me enough sedative and although I was asking them too they didn't. I was chatting all the way through and even watching them piercing the follicles on the screen. My DH was really sweet and you could see on his face he would have rather have been a million miles away. He hates seeing me in pain. He looked damn fine in the theatre scrubs though so that was a bonus. George Cloony eat your heart out!!!

We got 14 eggs. A bit disappointing what with so many follies but as we all know its quality rather than quantity. I was kept in hospital all flipping day and put on a drip of human albumen. My risk of OHSS was the reason I expect. Once again DH had a load of vials strapped to his chest as there too many to go in the box. This has happened every time and it still makes me laugh. He says when he's on the train he feels like a terrorist and if anyone comes near him the vials will explode. Boys will be boys  The Bridge Center are used to taking them carefully off his chest.

Anyway we got the call this morning that 13 were injected and 10 have fertilised. We will find out tomorrow what grades they are and when ET will be. It may be tomorrow but it could possibly be Tuesday.

Feeling very sore and bloated and drinking lots so hopefully by tomorrow I will feel fine.

I am feeling positive so the rest is up to fate and what my little embies do over night. Fingers crossed that we get some to freeze this time too.

Love and hugs Dagny xkx

Hi Dagny....you're so right, it's quality not quantity. Sorry to hear it was painful, I'd imagine 40 incisions would be awful. Poor you.

I don't understand what phials DH had strapped to his chest or am I being thick? were they his part of the deal? if so wouldn't one phial with all those million of swimmers be enough? What's in the box? how much does the poor chap have to produce??? I'm obviously ditzy today. We've never had boxes or anything else come to that. Just a plastic tub and the option of bringing it with or filling it at the clinic. We've always chosen the first choice.

Rest up now, the bloating will fade gently and the water will help. When will they let you know if ET is Monday or Tuesday? surely it would have to be later today??

The South Beach is often compared to Atkins, insomuch the focus is on less carbs but it's less ridig and there are more choices for vegetarians. In fact I spent last night looking online for recipes and ideas....I'm not going to follow it afterall. I'm just going to do it myself, reduce the carbs, cut the crap out and exercise everyday. I don't need to spend 25 quid on a book to tell me that  I need to do something positive today as I'm feeling pretty down. It will pass however.

Hugs to all (DeeDee - where are you sweetie?)
Debra.

Oh Debra

I just assume people know what I am drivveling about.

My hospital are a transport hospital which means thet I have EC at the hospital and the eggs are then put in a special box heated to body temperature with a car battery hence the box is beggar heavy. The phials with my follicle fluid in are put in the box. I think there is space for 15 or so phials. If there are more than that, instead of DH having to carry a second box (physically impossible) then they sellotape them to his chest to keep them at body temperature. He then gets the train to London Bridge with the box and goes to the Bride Clinic where they count the eggs and he then does his little bit  When they are satisfied his sample is fine they tell him the amount of eggs and he gets the train back to the hospital where I am climbing the walls dying to know how many eggs there are.

The eggs are then fertilised in London and we go there for ET. They will call me at 8.30am and tell us when to come up.

Hope this explains it.
