We get snuggle time once in awhile, the rest I'm running after my two year olds, lol. I'm glad I had the twins first, and am pregnant with the single second. Not sure I could have coped with a twin pregnancy and a toddler ~ it was definitely tougher.

Hope you all are having an awesome weekend, we've been having some fabulous weather.

Hello everyone - I'm back!

I've had a lovely week off work and feel totally refreshed and relaxed. Scotland was lovely - we had great weather - sunny and about 75 degrees - went to the beach, went to the lakes, walked a bit, saw relatives, ate a lot! The drive was tiring and I slept often when I wan't on shift, but we made it. I can't believe I'm back at work - I had 150 e-mails to catch up on today and loads require urgent action. I think it will be a hard week at work.

Good to catch up with all your news. I thought about you guys whilst I was away. Glad to hear all is well with the little ones - sorry about all your various ailments. I am so lucky that I don't have any major problems yet. I have been tired, like everyone else and need a nap most afternoons (which I can do as I've been on holiday - don't know what I'll do now I'm back at work!) and my rib pain has been quite sore, but that seems to be less troublesome now. My only other complaint is my bad back, which I've had for 15 years, so I suppose I expected that to remain or get worse.

We had a midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat, which was nice and strong and reassuring. I asked her about lying on your back and she said that it's mostly a problem for people who are not capable of moving themselves eg in an operation or after an accident. Usually, if you are lying on your back and your tubes are squashed, you will turn yourself as it is uncomfortable - if you are asleep, you will wake up or the baby will kick you and wake you! So she said not to worry, certainly not yet.

My u/s is 9 Sept for the chart (so late compared to all of you!) Congrats on the boy Nikki!

I think I may have felt a flutter yesterday in bed. I have been looking out for it, but mostly am just feeling my own heartbeat pounding in my tummy. I can't wait - you are all feeling so much more now!

Well, I'd better eat some lunch now and get back to my mountain of work. Hope your drive to Iowa was stress-free, Sameera.

Catch you later

Hi ladies!
Sorry I have been MIA for the past few days....work has been hectic and I finally got a breather today!

TinNots- sounds like you had a fabulous and well deserved holiday! Too bad we can post pictures up here, I would love to see what Scotland looks like!

Niki- I think zoo animals is so cute; at least yall are going to decorate the nursery. DH doesn't want to paint at all...he says the baby won't remember what her room looks like anyway! What a jerk!
I totally understand how you feel, when I feel the baby moving I just want to cry...I think its a very special moment for those of us who have been trying for so long. Yum- snickerdoodle....

jenn- i can't sleep very well either. DH was breathing hard almost snoring last night and I wanted to put a pillow on his face!

sameera- can't wait to hear how your Iowa trip goes! Hoping for a safe trip!!

As for me....I finally had to buy some new clothes this weekend. I can no long zip up my old shorts...so I went ahead and bought some nice stretchy maternity clothes. They are a little big, but so much more roomy! I finally don't feel like my belly is being squished!
Total I have only gained about 5 pounds, I eat a lot of fruits and salad so I feel like I eat alot.
Hmm, cravings...I crave salad and pickles. I don't eat a lot of meat...it almost repulses me but I know I have to eat some for the baby

God Bless!

Hi Chelly (Michele),

I still think that you are getting a son - b/c you crave for pickle and you said you are hairier than prior to pg? Even though your US tech told you otherwise. Are you going to have the 20 wks 3D US to be sure? I just like to guess about baby's sexes, but I am happy to be wrong. I was wrong once - I had a girl while everyone else told me that I was getting a boy, I also believed it myself according to the shape of my belly. Now, I enjoy my DD very much and I won't like to change to a boy. I am happy to have another girl so that I can recycle all the clothes, but it also nice to have a boy so that my DH will have someone to teach his carpenter's skills to. I will let you know so that you can tell Dr. Neal and his team what we are having later.

Hi to all the pg mom here, I am 14 weeks pg, not so far behind you all. Enjoy your remaining journey, it seemed very long to me in my first pg and I never really enjoyed my second pg because of the persistent morning sickness. In my opinion, human being's natural pg should be shortened to less than half a year, 9 months seems endless to me!!! I just wish that you are all doing better than me.

Morning Everyone!

So yesterday was at holiday for us here in Canada so I did not have to work which was very exciting. Mind you I am paying for it now as I only slept 3 hours last night! :(

Nic - Animals sounds like a fantastic idea for the nursery. DH and I haven't been able to chose what we want for the nursery. Hoping to start emptying the bedroom and figure we have a couple of weeks before the bedroom is empty and we can start getting the nursery ready.

Tin - Glad to hear you had a good holiday. How did the news go? Good luck getting through all the emails and hopefully you get caught up soon.

Michele - I can't believe you just had to get maternity clothes. I have been wearing them for a few weeks now. I also can't believe you only gained 5lbs. When I went for my OB appt when I was just over 4 months I had already gained 15lbs. I know it is a reasonable amount of weight but I was hoping that I would be a little lighter then that.

Sameera - I hope you had a save drive to Iowa and hope you are having a wonderful time.

Children - I agree with you that pregnancy should be less then 9 months. It really is a long time to wait.

Hope everyone else is having a good day!

Jenn

jenn- I have always been very sensitive about my weight since I was small...I wouldn't say an eating disorder but pretty close. Now as an adult, I am finally ok with my body, but the PG is throwing me for a loop! I gained about 5lbs during stimms, lost 7 in the 1st trimester, now gained back 5 of that. DH and I eat really healthy though, we don't eat fried foods or eat out...maybe once a week if that. A healthy PG gains about 25-35 lbs so it sounds like you are on track. I'm sure I'll catch up! I am impressed with the variety of maternity clothes now...they have some very nice fashions for us. I can't wait until winter....I love winter fashions plus I won't be as hot!

children- Glad to hear you are doing well! DH still thinks we are having a boy, our next U/S is 8/14; I'll be 18wk2d. I am hoping the tech will get a good look at what is or isn't between the legs! Yes, not to be gross but my belly is so furry I am contemplating shaving it!! It doesn't help that I am super pale and my hair is super dark (that's the asian in me I guess).
So the embryos you used are from Dr. Neal's office, but yall had them implated at a different clinic? I am definetly going to send them an announcement when the baby is born, maybe take the baby to go see them when she's older.

One day closer to another weekend!

God Bless!

Chelly - I wouldn't worry about the weight - I think everyone puts it on at a different rate, especially if you've been sick the first trimester. I think it's mostly important that you put on weight in the last trimester. I've only put on 7 pounds and I didn't lose any in 1st tri. My midwife said it was fine. I was only 104 lbs pre-pg, (and I'm just 4'11) so it seems huge to me! (I wonder who's smaller, me or Sameera?) I haven't bought any specifically maternity things, just a pair of large trousers and bump bands, but I need to now. Though I have some fab skirts which are drawstring and still have lots of space. Some small friends have offered their old maternity gear, which will be great. Oh, and re: hairy belly - I try to pluck mine! I am also super dark hair on super pale skin!

Jenn - the news with my in-laws went really well - they are so excited! They're pretty old and fragile, always hearing bad news eg getting ill again and their friends dying, so this good news was really welcome. I'm hoping that it will get my DH closer to his sister too.

Children - I don't know about changing the length of time to be pg- it takes ages to get used to it and there's so much to do before birth! I would definitely shorten the first trimester though!

Nikki - zoo animals is a great idea. An arty friend of mine painted his nursery like a jungle - it was fab. I'm starting to think it may be nice to do a beach and seaside theme, or countryside with hills and cows and sheep, with clouds on the ceiling and glow in the dark stars. Just depends on how much I can be bothered to do it and if I can get non-fumey paint!

If anyone has trouble choosing a baby name, I have discovered the perfect solution... There's a number in the back of my TV magazine which says "What should you name your baby? Text xxxxx to find out!" (Only costs $3!!!) Who on earth does this?!!! They also give quality advice on the first initial of who you should marry! Some people must have cash to spare.

TinNots- OMG you are a tiny thing arent you?? I haven't been 4-11 since elementary! By asian people standards, I am a giant...I am 5-6 without shoes, 5-8 with a good set of heel! I outgrew my parents a while back...no one is quite sure where I got the height from. Maybe that's why I was always so self concious growing up...cause I can see over the top of my mom's head easily. I'd have to chop a limb off to get down to 104....at my lightest for my wedding I was down to 117lb but usually I am 125lb.
I was watching a movie called "the Holiday" yesterday, its a few years old but part of it is set in England and it reminded me of you. Its a cutesy chick flick if you need a feel-good film to put a smile on your face.
Yeah, I contemplated buying regular clothes just a size bigger, but I figured I'm only going to get bigger so might as well buy something I can grow into! DH got a kick out of it. The one thing I do need to buy is a new bra....the one I have for work is starting to cut off my circulation! I was barely an 'A' before....now I'm practically busting out! I wonder how much bigger the 'tatas are going to get!

God Bless!

Hey Girls!!

I so missed reading you guys progress.. How's everyone??

My trip was fantastic and I'm so anxiously waiting for my babies to arrive so I can hold them. I held my sisters baby and I was giving her tips and stuff it was great!!

I wish she lived closer to me that way I could always check and be around her..

Tin - Glad to hear you had a great trip as well! Yeah it sucks going back to work and today I called in sick - I was so tried and exhausted that I didn't think I could handle work today.

So I will be going to work tomorrow morning bah!!!

Chelly - How are you feeling and yes you are tall - good for your children.

I always wanted my children to be tall like my husband and not short like me :(

Jenn - Hope you enjoyed your holiday and stayed at home and relaxed!! us pregnant needs those days as much as possible.

Children - I agree with you that pregnancy should be short but you know what this whole nine months is such a bonding experience for both mother and babies it's amazing!

As for me - my babies have been kicking me lots and lots which always makes me smile. I do have a question for you ladies - for the past couple of days my boobs are getting these sharp shooting pain and all these veins are popping up around my boobs that I have NEVER seen before.. I dunno it looks hideous.

I wasn't sure if you guys have experienced that or am i the first one to go thru this.

Well you ladies have a great night - Sameera!

Chelly.....lol...on the subject of tatas....with my first child I started of as a 34C and was a whopping 42F after delivering my son, once my milk came in. They were like big boudlers! The good or bad news (not sure) is they shrank back down over time and I lost a cup size out of it. Nobody warned me that might happen but I have read since that it happens to a lot of women.
Its cool that you feel like you can take your baby in to see your RE. I think the staff where I went would look at me blankly and aske me my mdical record number or something...lol. Not really, but I'm sure I'm just a number. They are SO huge and SO busy I am a distant memory by now. I will send an announcement though. They place those on the walls around the building.

I wish I had a better idea how much weight I have gained. I was relying on the scales at work but they keep fluctuating my weight an got me quite worried a few weeks ago because according to them I was loosing weight! Not to worry, though, between my 9 week and 15 week appointent I gained 6 lbs. I think my 9 wk weight was up by about 2-3 lbs. According to the books etc we should be gaining about 1lb a week (correct me if I have this wrong). So I'm guessing I have probably gained a total of 12 lbs.....maybe a tad more for the extra indulgences  I just have the weirest appetite....anyone else feel like this? Sometimes I can't get enough food and other times I have absolutley no appetite....even if I haven't eaten for hours.

Tinnots....thats hilarious about the baby name number. Do you think people seriuosly call this???? Do you have names picked out yet? I think its easier once you know the gender of the baby.....obviously.

Denise...you have 2 year old twins and are pregnant? Yikes  My friend at work has 2 small children (I forgot their ages but about 4 and 2) and she just gave birth to twins a few days ago. What a handful. You must be well organized and have lots of patience!?

Well, I'd better buckle down and get some studying done. I have a 2 day fetal monitoring course coming up over the next 2 days to keep up to date for my job. Its quite in-depth, need to put tmy thinking cap on. :!:

Good Morning Everyone!

So today I have my ultrasound. It's at 1:30pm EST. Very excited. It seems like it's going to be a group event. Me, DH and my mom. My mom is very excited. I don't know if she will make it until my due date. She just wants him to come out now! She is also already buying him lots of clothes for when he gets older.

Michele - I hear ya about winter. They do have some cute fashions. I am also looking forward to winter so I won't be so hot!!!!! I agree about the boobs. Mine have already grown. I was a 36C and now I am a 40D. I am scared to find out what I am going to be by the end of the pregnancy.

Tin - You are quite the petite one! I am 5'4 but not as slim as you all. I was about 150lbs. I am having a bit of a hard time with weight as I gained 30lbs from the stimms and progesterone. I was on the progesterone until I was 10 weeks. I tried really hard to lose some before the transfer and my body wouldn't lose any. I was a little depressed. I finally just gave up and said what can you do. I will just have to work extra hard after the baby is born.

Sameera - Glad you enjoyed your vacation and I hope you get lots of rest today so that you are ready to go back to work tomorrow. Not sure about the bood pain. I have never heard of that before so I don't have any advice! Sry.

Nic - That is quite the jump in boob size. I hope I don't get that big. I do have the same problem as you where one minute I could eat a house and then next not be hungry at all.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Jenn

Hello all

Jenn - can't wait to hear about your u/s - hope it went well and you got to see some exciting baby moves! It's hard in pregnancy to judge what weight you should be - we'll just have to do our best afterwards. As long as it's nice and comfy for the wee one, that's the most important.

Sameera - glad you had a good holiday too and bonded with your new niece/nephew. I hope my baby is tall like DH too - my DH is 5'11", which is a foot taller than me (I need a kissing step!) and for a boy that is a nice height. It's easier for a girl to be small than a boy. My boobs don't have shooting pains, but I have got more pronounced veins - I think that's expected. They're not popping out, but it's a bit like a roadmap!

Chelly - yes, I'm small - always have been. I have a real problem buying regular clothes, so maternity petite will be even worse. Make sure you get a wireless bra when you buy a new one - the underwired ones are meant to be bad in pg as they restrict all the blood vessels. You'll feel like a new woman afterwards - I did!

Nikki - Oh - I hope I don't lose a cup size. I was rather happy with my 32C cups before pg! Mind you - they'll probably go all droopy anyway! :( Wasn't it crazy, the baby name number! They must get called or they wouldn't be in business! I haven't really thought about names yet, but I think it will be 2 syllables as it would sound better with my surname. I quite fancy a flower name for a girl, but don't know what. I meant to ask - how do you get the baby ticker to work - I tried, but it just came up with the code and not the ticker?

Must knock off work now. I'm hungry and I've had a long day. Yawn. Tarra .

Tinn - you are hilarious - road map! actually it does look like a road map streched all the way lol it's crazy how our bodies are changing.

Nikki - Holy crap that's a big cup sizes jump!! but that's good i bet your dh is enjoying them.

I told my sister same thing enjoy them while they last lol she is tired of them already.

Hi Everyone. I'm back from my ultrasound. Everything went really well. Again they reconfirmed I am having a boy! They also have said everything is really good and he is very active. I had to go walk around for 30 minutes because he kept lying facedown! When I went back he had flipped back over so they could check the rest of him out. I got a few more pictures to add to my collection along with ones they put is name on.

Hope everyone else is doing good. I have to get a few things done before I leave.

Have a great night everyone!

sweetmonkey......good news on the ultrasound, glad everything is looking good. Hooray for little boys!

Sameera....lol, my boobs aren't that big now, they were that big after my first baby was born.....then they shrivelled up. Nowthey're blooming again....ho hum.

Tinnotts, if you go to the tickerfactory site and make a ticker, you should be able to copy and paste the code. Choose the BB code, hope that works for you.

Nothing new here. Had a dull ache in lower abdomen all day, kinda worried me but I'm sure its just normal. Baby is still active, though. Especially now, cause I was just singing to him. Cute
