Hi everyone -

Today is just not a good day. I feel like blech!! Sooo tired and nauseous, moody, and a bit crampy too. I dont get why the crampy feeling came back? but now its been here for a few hours now. I sure hope that doesnt mean anything. I'm sure it doesnt, but you know how you start wondering sometimes?... I'll go for what will hopefully be my last b/w with my RE tomorrow - Gee do you think he'll FINALLY release me? He has to right? But then again I thought that the b/w LAST time was the last one, so... I'm pretty sure that he'll start to wean me off of the Crinone - that would be a welcome phone call  I've been reading, but not posting as much because certain days I'm just so wiped out!

Ronda Where are you girl? Miss you! I've got a feeling that your m/s hasnt lifted yet? I'll send you some of the m/s "Go away already please!" dance
Good luck with your u/s tomorrow - let us know how it goes

Hope Sounds like you've got a good plan worked out and that will take care of child care during your delivery too! OMG - I cant believe the cord wrapped around your DS's neck five times! How terrifying that must have been. Thank God for quick Docs!

Steph Aw, honey I can just imagine how you feel with twice the amount of hormones bubbling over - hope that your DH understands how much your body is going through right now - big hug - Yippeee for the house being ready! And big too!

Gi Hooray for lower NK cell numbers! OK, so 1 more drip to go - just as a precaution. When is your next scan? I cant wait for you to hit the 12w mark so you'll feel more relaxed. What we put ourselves through! Surely IVF women are the strongest of all! - xoxo

Lou Ooooh, I'm so curious to see how the gender chart pans out for us all. But your new stats lean towards a girl ( FET with 5d embies) Yep,I know "stop driving myself crazy" I'm just dying to know. You know I'll end up pestering the sonographer on Friday, right? Well, i think that its safe to say - you are the no m/s lottery winner!!! You lucky girl! Sorry, I dont have any interesting stories of telling people, as all of my nosy friends were updated all the time - so nothing was a surprise.

HazelNo kidding - me too! If I could get away with going to bed at 9pm I would. And I'm not a napping type - so I just walk around exhaused all day - yuk
I think you should go ahead and get a dopplar. They arent too expensive - and it does seem like you'll have less appts than on this side of the pond. I would do it
And then you wont have to even ask your grumpy midwife - you can just do it yourself, and hear the wonderful HB any time you want!

OK, I'm off to feed the dogs while trying to not get a whiff of their food! Blech!!! - xoxo

Katie - Aww, wish you would not feel "blech". Hopefully RE does release you, one less thing to worry about. After that, just OB appts like a regular pg woman! lol

I Just wanted to tell everyone what just happened. Oh my! Ok... so we go eat because neither one of us were up for cooking. That went well, really yummy food at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries! Anyway.. we get home and the UPS guy who delivers my progesterone decided not to leave it at the door and left a note saying signature required when there was none required. Normally I am home and they don't even knock or ring the doorbell, they just leave it on the porch. Not this time and we are out or progesterone so after no sleep all night and all day, poor DH went off the handle. Yelling that they need to turn that truck around and come back because if it wasn't here, I could lose the babies. After being told no luck, come get it after hours and being hung up on, they finally had the driver turn around. Boy was that an experience! Poor DH still hasn't slept since he has to give me my shot in a few minutes. I think I will make it a point to not go anywhere on days I have a delivery from now on. Only two more weeks left and no more pokes in the arse! :)

Steph-thats crazy that happened! Your poor DH!!! Glas they finally turned the truck around and hope you are feeling better!

Katie-sorry you aren't feeling well and I can't wait to hear the results from your scan! I know your RE is just keeping you longer cause he feels like a proud pappa!

GI-so glad your numbers are where they should be and fingers crossed this is your last drip!

Hazel-I would totally get the doppler since I'm one who likes some sense of control with this whole thing!

Lou-all your studies are telling me girl! While I will be ecstatic with a girl I have always evisioned/wished for a litte boy as the first! So we will see!!! As I said previously I think we are going to keep it a surprise!

Afm...I have been exhausted the past few days! Unfortunately I have to work a lot of nights and weekends in April so I'm trying to sneak in day naps! Crossing my fingers for Wednesdays scan!!

Hey girls,

Steph your poor Dh he must be worried sick i am glad though that you got your progesterone. Hows the spotting today?? Isnt it great the house is ready now just to get the niggly bits sorted.

Claud all me fingers and toes are crossed for you for tomorrow xxx

Katie sorry to hear you are feeling unwell again, i asked about the cramping today as i still get it at least once a day even though its very mild the nurse said all normal its just the crinone and uterus stretching.

AFM thank for all your best wishes girls the clinic were able to fit me in for the drip today and they also did a scan...Our baby is absolutly Perfect!!!! It was asleep so she started poking it and said "wake up for mummy" j and i were in tears!!!! It woke up and started moving its little arms and legs. I cant believe how much it has changed in 2 wks, i seriously cant believe there is a little baby inside me but today proved it  Everything else looks perfect, no signs of bleeding etc. it measures 1 day ahead and measures 25.1mm and perfect heart beat, the nurse said our chances of m/c are very slim so we can finally breathe for a few days anyway lol, so i am finished with the clinic but they will see me if i have any probs or just want another scan. I have my next/1st appt with OB in 3 wks time so fingers crossed all going well we can finally tell everyone i just may hide my every growing tummy till then!!!

hi girls!. Sorry to have been MIA again however m/s has kicked it up a notch and I am sooooooo sick! My fav RE nurse came in the room this morning and said, "boy you are looking green" . Yep, thats me, call me kermit! Had RE appt this morning, saw my baby bean, who is measuring right on at 9w 1 day. H/b was 183 bpm and baby was kicking its little legs! I don't have to take the estrace anymore and can start weaning down the progesterone to 2x a day for a week, then be done with it. Of course I just filled both, so if anyone needs it, I will be happy to send it to you! RE released me, and I didn't even cry (so unlike me). My first OB appt is scheduled for 4/23.

Lou,

took the "gender quiz", looks like a girl for me. According to all the "stats" girl is most likely (ICSI, FET, and #'s of embies) Glad to hear your m/s has stayed away. How is the trip planning going?

Katie,

Sorry you were have a yucky day, hopefully today is better! I have been craving tacos, any cravings for you?

gi,

its better to be safe with another drip for your killer cells, glad they were able to fit you in. Isn't just the coolest to see your baby bean, moving its little arms and legs!! Glad all is well!

Hazel,

I say get the doppler, especially with your bitc*y midwife. That will give you peace of mind.

Hope,

Glad to hear your m/s is getting better......seems like your yuckies came to visit with me! I like the plan you came up with for the c-section, that gives your body a chance before you are scheduled. plus makes childcare much easier!

Claudia,

Keep us posted after your scan tomorrow. Have you figured out how to hide your m/s?

Steph,

doesn't it just figure, the one time you are not home the UPS driver wants a siggy! Glad to hear you got your meds, what a mess. Are you getting nervous for your OB appt?

Hi all,

Katie -- Sorry you felt so icky yesterday. I hope you are better today. I'm a bit crampy too, but I can't tell if it's constipation or my uterus...lol. I'm dying to know if I'm having a boy or girl too. I just want to PLAN.

Steph -- Glad you're feeling better. You're correct about the male sperm being faster... the actualy terms used in the study as to why ICSI may be more likely to product a girl is the male sperm are "smaller and weaker". Maybe that doesn't mean slower. My first OB is Mon 4/19 too! I REALLY hope I get a scan as well.

Gi -- Well, according to the gender predictions, I should be having a girl as well. We did ICSI and I had a 3 day transfer. I only had 3 embies and I transferred all of them. So the way I see it, whichever made it, is the one I'm supposed to have. I do think we're going to have a predominance of girls on this board though. That's my feeling anyway.

Ronda -- Nice to hear from you! So sorry m/s has got you down though. How exciting to see your baby moving! I've only had one scan done at 6w5d... so I can't wait to see more. I'll put you down for a G so far. Time will tell if it's right or not.

AFM -- How long are you all continuing progesterone? I stop my PIO shots on April 21st. I'll be 10 weeks. Is that early? I only had a level done at my second beta and at that time it was > 80. I was pretty tired yesterday, but I forced myself to go to a spin class. I was glad I went once I got there, but I went to bed at 9PM to make up for it...lol. I slept better last night so I feel better today. In my gym clothes, I think I was starting to look pregnant. Even though I still don't feel pregnant. Anyone else just feel completely normal??? I keep letting this get to me.

Lou - 10-12 weeks is the norm to stop PIO from what I understand. Your prog levels are really great for how far along you are. So I am sure that is why you will be stopping at 10. Mine were fine and rising, but lower and with the spotting they want to be more precautious. I am being weaned now off of PIO and stop in two weeks. So, your pregnancy is going very well, even though you don't feel pregnant, your baby is doing awesome in there! I can't say I feel "normal" since my boobs still get sore and I am always hungry... something that I usually never am until dinner time. Since I have been preggers I get hungry all the time. Glad the babies are still taking it all, still no weight gain even though they tell me I need to be gaining a pound or two a week from now on. I am scared to gain weight since I gained 30 lbs before even getting pg. UGH I wish I could be more active! I miss doing abs!! You know, before starting IVF, my trainer wouldn't even let me do abs as part of my workout? lol He told me my abs rocked and no matter how bad I begged he would only make me do upper, lower or cardio. Now I feel my abs are jello. blah!

Ronda - I am a little nervous only because of fear. Everytime I have a bad thought run across I immediately tell myself everything is fine and try to overcome the bad thoughts. I kept asking for a dream or some kind of sign and I had a dream that both babies are just fine so I am holding on to that, hoping that it is true! :) Congrats on seeing your little football or soccer player. lol Must be so awesome to be seeing it move!

Hi ladies!!

So today kicked my butt... I felt "icky" all day and it's not that I feel like I have to throw up but my whole body just feels off and I have some slight acid reflex. I took a 2 hour nap and I went into work later than usual so I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow since Wednesdays are my long day and I have to wake up early for my SnS!! I'm not so nervous but I just want to be reassured everything is measuring where it should be at 7w3d!

Lou-I'm still so impressed that you can do a spin class at night time!! I can't wait till I get cleared to go back to the gym and not feel so icky!!!

Gi-YAH for seeing your baby!! That must have been so nice and reassuring!!

Ronda-sorry that m/s is kicking your but! I hope mine doesn't turn into throwing up because I would take this feeling over throwing up any day!!! Glad you got a scan and everything is looking great!

Steph-I will be thinking about you for Monday's scan!!

Hi everyone -

Wow what a wasted day today was. I spent 2hrs each way to get my b/w done and when I got there it turns out that the nurse was fired and just the sonographer was there so I had to go get my blood drawn at Labcorp at it was packed, so crowded that I had to wait 45 minutes! I feel so bad for the efficient nurse, so now there are 2 offices and just 1 full time nurse? yikes- I'm so glad to not be cycling anymore. Then when I came home I knocked out on the couch for 2 hrs - I never nap! Ummm... that makes me wonder if that'll keep happening? And I'm still tired too. Oh, well I'd like to blame napping on being pregnant, but I think the fact that my DH snores like a bear may have something to do with it also

Claudia UGH - I'm with you on the heartburn, its awful isnt it? Of course I'm sure I make it worse by refusing to give up spicy food
I cant wait to hear about your u/s tomorrow! I know that i'm dying for mine on friday. How is your job going? Have you been able to hide the m/s from them? Do they know or not just yet?

Steph That is too much! It figures the 1 time your're not there to sign for it is the 1 time they insist. Good job by your DH getting them to come back! Your poor guy must have been exhausted too. I always have to sign for meds, but luckily my pharmacy uses fed ex - who always shows up by noon. Now ups on the other hand for some reason always shows up around dinnertime. Have you seen the inside of the new house yet so you can plan your layout?

Gi oh, honey - HOORAY for good news and a perfect baby wiggling around! I'll bet that was surely a sight to see! I hope i get to see the same on Friday too. What are your appt dates so I can update our list? Surely you'll be sleeping better tonight!

Ronda Ooops, I mean Kermit! (I gotta use the green smiley now!) I'm so happy for you! Cravings? hmm what? Oh, do you mean my strange urge to keep eating string cheese all day? and bananas? no, not at the same time - hee hee And steak - I cant get enough of it lately either. Now what are you craving? tacos? YUM! And now I'm thinking about tacos...

LouI'm a planner also. I actually havent looked at not even 1 baby store or website yet. Half of me thinks its just too darn early - yet the other half of me has so much to learn that I feel I better get on it soon. But until I know which gender are we talking about - I refuse to. I should think you will definitely get a u/s the first OB visit, especially if you remind them that you've only had 1 so far. I think I was going to get one at my 1st OB appt - but the Dr said that the sonographer wasnt in that day. I was like wth? (tee hee we are so used to how RE's do things!) I've had 2 u/s but - the last was 6 WEEKS AGO! - I'm dying here. Can you call to ask if your appt is on a day when the sonographer will def be there? I stopped the PIO shots last week and am still on Crinone2x day
Hopefully when i get my b/w results tom (if the nurse is still breathing by then!) they should start to wean me off of them also - I hope

Hazel Did you decide on the dopplar yet?

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Katie - Yes, saw the new house, we took a few things over tonight... well DH and two of his soldiers. Basic needs, one couch, beds, bedding, personal hygiene and some food. Cable is getting hooked up tomorrow so we took one 19 inch tv for now and the cable stuff. Not sure when the cable will be done, it is an all day appt time so anywhere from 8am-8pm. FUN! It's a nice big place and DH wants me out of this one asap so that's what we are doing. lol I will let you know more once I get my cable internet hooked up.

Morning ladies!

lou - trust me to be difficult with the Prediction Chart so that I don't know whether I'm having a boy or a girl. And on the basis of the statistics you posted, it could still go either way - we did a fresh 5 day transfer (so that would mean more likely a boy) but we only had one embryo left at transfer day (so that would mean more likely a girl). I think Zorba just wants to keep me guessing about what he/she is...lol.

gi - yep, I enjoyed what little of the Masters I could stay awake for! We were kind of pleased that Tiger Woods didn't come back and dominate - I don't quite buy into the new 'I'm so contrite and a changed man' stuff! Being Irish, I'm not surprised your family is into golf, you have some amazing courses out there! J had better enjoy frequent golfing while he can - once the baby arrives he'll have something entirely different to occupy him! DH and I took up golf almost 3 years ago and are still trying to improve but are totally addicted - I think once Zorba arrives, we'll be taking it in turns to look after the baby on a few weekend days so that the other one can go and play golf! So happy that your test results were good yesterday, and a bonus that they gave you another drip for peace of mind. Yay for seeing the perfect little bean!!! Not long now until the second trimester... Oooh, chocolate muffins - can you fling some over this way please???

Steph - how funny if the statistics are right and you're having two girls, that would let you off the hook with the 'Junior' name thing if you don't like it! Hurray for being in the new house soon!

claud - good luck for your scan today, can't wait to hear! Sorry about the m/s - I've always thought how cruel it is that just when we should be jumping with joy at finally being pregnant and feeling on top of the world, having bad m/s makes us miserable. It will ease up soon, promise, you just have to get through April and your evening/weekend working.

Ronda - oh hon, poor you with m/s, being green isn't a look you want to have! Yippee for seeing the little bean on the scan, though. Makes it all worth it in the end!!!

Katie - is it Friday yet??? Are you sure? Boo for cramping, but as you know I had it until about 16 weeks so don't be surprised if it does stick around. Sounds like you had a trying day - poor one remaining nurse, she's so going to be rushed off her feet! So I guess you're not expecting a prompt phone call today!

AFM, after some positive responses from you guys and because I was itching to do it anyway, I went ahead and bought the Dopplar thing online on Monday and the company were super speedy and it turned up yesterday! So I hatched a cunning plan, that I would figure out how it worked, find the heartbeat and then surprise DH with it when he got back from work last night. Best laid plans and all that...I couldn't find the heartbeat! I found my own by listening to my chest, and lots of gurgling noises in my stomach, but no baby heartbeat, even though I tried for about 20 minutes. So now I'm really telling myself to forget that I even tried, and to just wait until Friday until my scan. Part of me wants to try again today, but the other part doesnt in case the same thing happens. I'm guessing that the baby might have had its back to me, have been tucked away by my spine, or just have been moving around constantly so that I couldn't pin it down. Well, those are the explanations I'm allowing myself to think of, anything else is too horrible. And if everything turns out to be OK on Friday, then in the future I'm going to treat the home Dopplar with some caution if I use it again.
