Hi All,

Sorry, not to have kept up with everyone's news. It seems we've had both good and bad news among us all, so I'm sorry to those of you who've had BFN and congrats to those with good news.

I've had a horrible, horrible week. Following my last post, the issue escalated quite badly. The nausea which seemed under control in the hospital got worse and by 10pm that night, I couldn't keep down water or gatorade. I stupidly, stayed home, given that the hospital ob/gyn had said to expect to continue to feel unwell and have some vomitting. By 7am the following morning, I had DH ring an ambulance. Extreme pain and vomiting brown fluid constantly. So I was readmitted to hospital via emergency and taken almost immediately to the ICU as I was severely dehydrated. They pumped me full of fluid when eventually they could get an IV in. Spent about 20 hours in ICU where they wouldn't let DH in. :(

A series of poor medical calls by ward doctors had me in severe pain and extremely bloated (looked 9 months pregnant and here I was trying to get pregnant!). I put on 6 kgs in 48 hours and docs were not listening to me and kept pumping in fluids! Ob/gyn forgot to come and see me on the sunday (been in since Friday) and ward docs have no idea what's happening. I finally declare that since I am getting sicker, not better, that I am discharging myself and FINALLY get the attention I need from Ob/gyn department who I think are still trying to convince me NOT to pursue some kind of malpractice suit on them.

So here i am, finally home again 5 days later, not PUPO at all but OK. Devasted that only 2 embs made it to freezing and I cannot go through the full ivf treatment again because of the whole disaster that was this round. :(

Will try FET maybe in July.

rio - I am so sorry. You are such a sweet amazing lady I was hoping that it would turn around for you. I was so sad to hear the bad news. I hope you can take some time to yourself and decided what to do next. My IVF was around 7,000 + meds. I have insurance for meds and 50% so I only ended up paying about 4,000, I am very lucky. If anyone could transfer or move to MA, they mandate that insurance must cover fertility treatments including IVF=)

pep32 - congrats, that is a great number, twins... triplets? How many did you transfer again?

PA_FA - what kind of suppositories are you using? The soft kind or the one that looks like a pill? If you have the kind that looks like a pill put it under warm water for a second to soften the capsule up, it will help it absorb more quickly and (maybe) be a little less messy. I think they are all gross. It somewhat helps if you can lay down for 1/2 hour after you put it in. I usually wake up 30 minutes early, go to the bathroom then put it and lay back down. I had to laugh at your traveling story. When I was pregnant with the twins I had to travel and I was still on the progesterone suppositories. I had the soft compounded one that had to be kept refrigerated. I had them on a ice pack and they had to search it and ask me what it was and look at the prescription info.. so embarrassing. Good luck with your ET tomorrow... sticky thoughts for you!

bei - good luck! It is your eggs time to shine! So my clinic to help with miscarriage does both progesterone oil, and suppositories, estrace, and baby aspirin.

brill - your wait is almost over keep up the good vibes!

rypell - sorry you couldn't start stims... bummer. At least you have an ER date now.

lisa32 - fingers and toes crossed for you

Eshepard - 7 eggs is great! Glad the ER went well

kizmet - what a horrible experience you have been through. I am so sorry for you. I hope you start to recover and have a successful FET later on.

Rio - I am so sorry. I was praying for a different outcome (praying for a miracle). If you can try again, you should. You got pregnant with both cycles and I think that is amazing. The third time will work like a charm.

Pep - congrats on the BFP!!! I am so happy for you.

Bei & Kitty - good look on your ERs tomorrow. I am praying for a great harvest.

Dys24 - good luck on your US/BW tomorrow.

Bril - Praying for a BFP on Thursday.

Pafa - Can't wait to hear about your ET tomorrow.

Lisa32 - I hope the cramping is a sign that your baby is making a home in your uterus.

Rypell - Stimming next week!! It will be here before you know it.

Eshepherd - Congrats on the 7 eggs and hoping they all fertilize.

Kismet - You have had a pretty rough time with this cycle. Glad you are finally out of the hospital.

AFM - I started my stimming shots last night. And praying I make it to ER on 6/4 without complications. My clinic seems to have a high cancellation rate and so I am worried about that. Plus I am worried about being one of the rare cases of when you ovulate before the ER. I just need next month to get here fast!!

Awww Rio, I was so hoping that things would turn out positive for you. I am sooo sorry. I know what that pain is like. Try to take some time to be with your family right now. I am glad that you want to try again. I am sure next time will be different. I know you are on the West Coast, but am not sure where. I used Kaiser in Santa Clara and they were amazing! They have very high success rates - especially with their FET cycles. I got pregnant with a fresh and a FET cycle. If you want a recommendation for a doctor PM me. I did have to pay out of pocket though and it was around 10,000 for a fresh cycle. They do have payment options/loans though which may help. Take care.

Hi girls. Thanks so much for all the congrats and support, it means a lot! I will feel more comfortable after I get mys econd beta tomorrow and know that it is rising.

lisacb- Good luck with the stims! Hope everything goes smoothly for you!

purplefish- Thanks! We transferred two embryos at Day 3. My beta with DD was high as well so I'm not going to read into it and assume anything quite yet!

kiz- OMG you poor thing! I'm so sorry! That is crazy that you were in the hospital that long and no one could help make you feel better. I hope that the worst is behind you and hopefully the FET will be your lucky charm. My sister in law had sever OHSS with her fresh cycle and then they did a FET and ende dup with triplets!! So I know your time will come!

ESherpard- Congrats on your 7 eggs! Fingers crossed for a good fert report tomorrow. And don't worry if you end up with a 3-day transfer. I was in the same boat where they said they were going to try to get me to a 5-day and I ended up having a 3-day. But I still got a BFP! So you just need to trust that your RE knows what is best.

lisa32- Thinking of you honey. I hope you get good news tomorrow!!

Rypell- Stimms are just around the corner! Yay!

Pafa- Good luck at ET today! Thinking of you!

Rio- I am so sorry. You have been on a roller coaster. We are here for you if you need to vent any time.

Bril- GOod luck tomorrow. Bring on that BFP!

Bei- Good luck with ER!!!

Kitty- Hope your ER goes great!

Well better get to work...as if I can concentrate at all right now

Kizmet- I am speechless to learn what you have been through. I am so sorry, it sounds horrible.

Tomorrow is the big day for Lisa32 and me, is anyone else testing tomorrow? I am so truly scared. I don't even want to know if it is bad news.

I think PaFA transfers today and DCMom transfers tomorrow- good luck ladies!!!

PurpleFish and Pep- keep up the good work with those numbers!!

Best wishes to all. Will be in touch!

Hello again from Italy,
Seems like there has been some good news and a some bad news too but keep your heads up. This waiting game is pretty stressful. I have my beta on Monday and it is driving me crazy. I feel like every little cramp makes me wonder if I am really prego or if I'm just imagining it. My Italian RE doesn't tell me much so I'm wondering if someone can tell me what is a normal value for a positive BFP? I don't want to get the result and have to wonder. I've looked on the Internet and see different values.
Good luck to the ladies having their Beta done today....baby dust coming your way.

AFM - I am doing ok, very emotional these days...crying a lot and just very sad and anxious!!! I am just so nervous about this whole cycle it takes so long to get to the results and it could be a BFN...and its so upsetting and fustrating at the same time!!! I am just so worried I guess...guess today is really a bad day! Thanks for listening :? I did get BW done yesterday and my estrogen levels are really good so I can increase my estrace from 2 pills to 4 pills and continue the 5 units of Lupron, next week I get more BW and US, and if all good I start the PIO, and June 11 I am scheduled for the FET if all goes well! I am also nervous about the PIO have read a lot of you say it is painful :? UGH! I will stop now...sorry bad day.

Well I'm back home. Out of 10 eggs only 5 made it to maturation. Out of those 5, 4 were fertilized. Of those 4, he said 3 looked the best so they are now in my tummy. I guess that means I am PUPO!!! Now for the 2ww. I hope it does not drive me too crazy.
I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Kiz - sweetie you have been through so much, I am so sorry! But your frosties are waiting for mamma, and your FET will work, big hugs and I hope you feel better!

kitty - 13 eggs is awesome! Waiting for a great fert report!!!

PA-FA - YOU ARE PUPO!!! Woo-hoo 3 is a great number!!! You will go crazy in the 2WW ;) Stick babies!

Lisa32 - great news the bleeding stopped! BFP thoughts! let us hear the good news!

TDF - it is completely normal to be so emotional, we invest so much phisically, emotionally and financially on this dream. Just a couple of weeks and you will be PUPO!

D in Italy - they say anything over 10 is a BFP, the numbers vary a lot from person to person. google betabase and you will see numbers all over the place. The most important is that it doubles or close to doubles every 2 days. With my very healthy boy I started with a 67 at 12dpt 3 day transfer.

Bril - BFp thoughts! Let us hear the good news honey!

Eshep- good job on your eggs! How was fert report?

lisad- how did your shots go? You will be fin sweetie, don't worry too much!

purple - congrats on your great numbers! Thank you so much for your kind words!

AFM - Thank you so much again for all of your support and kind words, you girls are great. I am still very sad that for some reason our little bean didn't want to stay. I got bad cramps on and off but no AF. Not looking forward to it since it will be the official end of this pregnancy. But I am still grateful for a loving DH and a loving son and I am looking at options to try again. DH got hit much harder than I expected but he is slowly getting better from the shock.

I will do personals later but just a quick update from me. Beta #2 came back at 1090 so it was just slightly more than double Beta #1 (495). My scan will be June 10th!

Bril & Lisa32- Sending BFP vibes your way. Good luck today!

YES it is POSITIVE!!! I am still in shock! My beta was 104I go back for another BETA on Tues.

Lisa32-glad the bleeding has stopped, still have fingers crossed for you.

PAfa- that sounds good. Let those three embies grow, grow, grow!

Pep23, the numbers are increasing so you are headed in the right direction!!! Good luck!

DItaly- the nurse told me that any Beta number over 40 is considered positive. But sometimes even lower numbers pull through so it truly varies from person to person

Ok sorry no personals last night. I was a little out of it. They had me take valium and medrol before the ET. That on top of that fact I woke up crazy early and got now sleep because I was too tired...well, I was a bit of a zombie last night. Also, DH was itchin to finally watch the series finale of LOST. After all of that was done I crashed out around midnight and slept for over 12 hours!!!!!!!!! I guess I was tired. I guess I got lots of bedrest yesterday.

Lisa32- I am so happy the bleeding stopped. Just take it easy and let's hope for some great results today. INfact, it's evening in the UK. Have you heard anything yet?

Bril- YEAHHHHHH BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you!

Eshepherd- Congrats on a great ER. When is your ET again? Good luck with everything!

Kismet- I'm so sorry for what you have been going through. It sounds absolutely horrible. It just goes to show that we all will do ANYTHING to achieve our dreams. Your baby is still waiting for you. Just get better and soon your time will come too. :)

Kitty- 13 eggs for ER! Wow that's really great! Lots of baby dust for you!

Pep23- Your beta doubled! That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you!!!
