Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you an update. Last Wed the dr. said the thing in my tube looks like it has resolved. However, i am still having the bleeding. We dont know why. The baby appears fine. He or she was one inch long last week. So tiny. Its so crazy to think something so small has eyes and lips and fingers already. Amazing. The heart was strong and everything appears good. I still am out of work. She wants me to stay home two more weeks because I have been so sick. I am eating though. Nauseous or not I make myself eat. The past few days have been better though. I went to the grocery store with my husband this weekend, first time in weeks. I am still weak and light-headed but im am feeling better. I feel so bloated. my stomach is sticking out already. I swear it is. ha ha. I guess if you have had more than one your muscles are already stretched out and boom it pokes out quicker. Everyone is picking on me because i try to hide it. I think its just fat that i cant suck in any longer. ha ha. I go back to work in two weeks and that makes it a month I have been out of work. Honestly as bad as i feel I am not looking forward to working my 12 hour midnight shifts at all.

Yasmina, good grief is that little one gonna come anytime soon? I know you are so ready. If he looks any thing like your beautiful DD then he will be the cutest thing ever. Hopefuly you will go soon. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you put some pics up.

Catharine,
Sounds like DD is doing great. I know you are enjoying her so much.

Tammy how are you doing? Thanks for always checking on me. Hope you are doing well.

Take care to all and to the ones I didn't mention. Sorry I have been out of the loop, just haven't felt like raising my head lately, but I think I am about to start feeling better.

God bless you all.

hi all,

Thanks for asking, yes, our ds is here.

Brief birth story: last Thursfay night, my water broke, Friday morning, I call the ob office and informed them there were no regular contractions but they asked me to come to the office. I did and after they examed me, they sent me directly to L&D. Soon, I was induced w low dose pictocin, regular contractions established beautifully, then I failed to make any progress in dilation after 24 h good & strong contractions. This time though, I was given quite long time to try a vaginal birth. Unfortunately, my old body failed me again, every one was exhausted in the end. My attending ob said if I was ur baby, I wanted to come out now. I quickly and happily accepted his recommendation - c-sec. At 5:46 pm Sat, Jan. 31, our DS was here. We only chose his name as Maxime last night at 3 am. Here are two pic. I am still at the hospital and planning to be home tommorrow. Both DS and I are doing fine. BTW, he is 9lb9oz and 54cm, very big indeed. The best part is he sleeps and eats like a pro, no trouble to mom so far.

That is it for now, take care every one.

Yasmina: I was wondering if you had your DS yet. Congrats! He is adorable. Wow, he is a big baby. The picture of Eloise with Maxime is just precious. Take care of yourself and we hope to hear from you soon.

Rhonda: That is wonderful news about your baby doing well. I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling a little better now. They say that usually the morning sickness subsides during the 2nd trimester.

Have to go, as DS is being rather demanding this morning.

Take care all,

:D Yasmina-congrats! He is adorable and a very big bundle of joy. Love the pix esp big sis holding her new lil bro. So glad to hear you, baby and the family are doing well. Looking forward to hearing more at a later date.

Rhonda-that's great news! :D glad to hear your lil one is right on cue for development. Wish I had some insights to give you on the bleeding. Just listen to the docs don't over do-it.

Tammy and Tracy-how are you two doing?

DD is officially 3months old :D she must be going through a major growth spurt as she is constantly hungry; I'm having a hard time keeping up with her demands. She was just settled in a routine when last night, at the height of not meeting her food demands, she just would not settle down to sleep. I'm conflicted over the whole when to introduce rice cereal. I bought it, and may break down to use it if we have a repeat cycle today. Okay on the positive note when she is not so fussy, she's coing up a storm and enjoys our coing conversations.

Hey everyone,
I am just dropping a quick note/update. My AF was 7 days late (most it has ever been) so my scheduled changed - by 2 weeks. They are going to keep on the BCP longer so as not to have the problem we had last time (it was almost canceled). Right now work is "difficult" - can't talk about it here. I am thankful I have a job, but I felt like just walking out today and not coming back. Lovely to have all this sh** happen while trying to cycle. Also, been depressed lately ?? Don't know why. Figure it is time to see a counselor to try and work through everything - I need to get some PMA for this cycle. The only thing keeping me going is the possibility of BFP and I am terrified of what will happen if we get a BFN - mainly money issues since I don't know how many more chances our insurance allows, and we are trying to buy a house, and my DH's job just cut hours, etc. - I am sure you all know the story.
Back to hiding for awhile - though I do read the "boards" a couple of times a day so keep the posts coming.

Catharine: Your little angel is a real cutie pie. I would love to have a little girl so that I could dress her up in pink.

Tracy: Sorry to hear that you have been depressed lately. Talking with a Counselor is a good idea.

Yasmina: Are you home from the hospital yet?

Rhonda: I hope everything is going well with you and your little baby.

Cathrine,

What a beauty! You must have a lot of fun to watch her change daily.

Tammy,

Yes, I am home now and I even stopped by my lab to say hi to everyone this afternoon after our DS's 2 day out of hospital well being checkup. I am in pain killers now which make me high, I guess.

Rhonda,

Glad the thing in the tube resolved itself, what a relief! Hope the mysteris bleeding stops soon too.

Tracy,

My friend once had a conversation w me, he said he did not understand why people want to bring more kids to the world only to discover what a depressing n myserable the world that they are living in is and only to make their kids to struggle through each day of life by forcing them to get educaded. Sometimes I think this view of life is very wise, but I went ahead got myself two kids. I still don't know how to view what I have done, being selfish? We brought a lot of joy to our life at the moment, what about their future? Will we be able to be good enough parents to help them to become what they want to be in the next 20 years or so? Honestly, I am quite worried!

Sorry, all I wanted to say to u is that I hope that you will find a way to get out of what's troubling you and enjoy life again soon!

OK, it's time for next feeding, take care, everyone!

Good weekend everyone :D
Just checking in to see how everyone is.

Thanks for the lovely comments w/r/t DD pix. Yes it is fun watching her change daily. Sometimes it is sad when she outgrows some reflexes that were so endearing, but then new ones take their place just melting hour hearts that much more.

Yasmina-each time I look at your DS and DD with DS my heart just melts. So precious. Can you remember your DD that small? What fun you and DH will have raising one girl and one boy :) I was wondering how your DD is getting on with her sleep? any improvements? Well not that her lil brother is in the house may be that posses another disruption to her comfort level for sleep. I'm so happy for you.

Rhonda-how are you doing? I'm equally happy for you and your DH having a little being on the way :) Keep us posted on your progress. I hope the ms subsides soon. If you believe wives tales, the longer the ms sticks around means you're carrying a little boy. But I think Yasmina will argue that point given her past experience.

Tammy-Thinking of you, PMA fingers crossed your dream comes true.

Tracy-you hanging in there? sending PMA to you as well.

So, I'm crazy, I admit. I feel that biological clock ticking. I'm torn do we try to have a lil sis or bro for our DD. We do not have frozen embies so we have to make a decision asap because of the age factor and then there is the economy to consider. So many factors, I'm so torn. And this thinking with a 3 month old :?

Well, we'll figure it out, until then everyone have a wonderful weekend. Keep the positive mental attitude flowing :D

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Just an update to say that I saw my acupunturist and counselor and for now things look OK. I am going to try and prioritize what I have to focus on for the next couple of weeks to make this cycle work and try and let everything else fall by the wayside. I do feel better because I have been thnking of ways to come with the money for future cycles, if needed and I got a few ideas. So for now my nerves have calmed down. That of course being said before I go back to work on Monday. We are currently in the middle of an audit by our wonderful government. Breathe ! Breathe! Trying not to go postal because of their stupid questions !!

Yasmina - I understand what your friend said, but if everyone believed that way then the human race should have ended a long time ago. Remember our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents all had difficult situations to live in - there have been 2 World Wars along with many others. There has been a major depression and multiple recessions that have already happened. With all this previous misery I am glad that the human spirit to survive won and future generations were conceived. As for the next generation - it will probably be harder then the previous ones, but I do believe that there will be those who will make it worthwhile. All I want to have a family and be able to live to see some of the future accomplishments (that will be discovered by those "forced" to be educated) and if I am unable to be there then to have children that are contributing members of society (in whatever they decide to to do) to see the "new and improved" future. I just don't want you to second guess you decision to have children. For me - children are the best present for our future.

Catharine - I say if you have the finances - then go for it!! Don't wait for the economy. My mom told me there is never a "perfect" time to have a child. You just do it and figure everything else out later.

Rhonda - So happy to hear your news about things getting better. Enjoy your time off before you have to go back. I am sure it won't be easy, but I am sure you will be fine.

Tammy, Rhonda, Yasmina - hope all the kiddies are doing great.

Hi to everyone I missed.

Hello Ladies:

Rhonda: I hope all is well with you.

Yasmina: How is DS sleeping for you? Are you recovering nicely? Is your family still there to help you?

Tracy: I'm glad that you are feeling better now. Good luck on your upcoming cycle.

Catharine: I know how you feel. We are the same age and if you look at the statistics, we are old when it goes to fertility. I am not going to give up though, as I would really like a sibling for my DS. He just loves kids. His own 1/2 brother does not really give him the time of day and it is sad. DH has a 16 year old from his 1st marriage who is with us every other week. He is really just into his own things and does not take any time to interact with Andrew. Good luck on your decision, but if you really want another child I say go for it now.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hey everyone,
I went to the Dr. today for a "normal" check up. Just listened to the heartbeat with doppler. No more bleeding!!! stopped about two weeks ago. Now if I could just get over the nausea. I will be going back to work Sunday night. Not wanting to though. The thought of gagging in front of people and dealing with those smells in the hospital. I sicker for thinking of it just now. I know I have got to do it, but I just wish the nausea was gone. Today the Dr. talked to me about birth defects especailly downs. I have been really worried about it. Tomorrow I am having some sort of highly sophisticated ultrasound that is around 90 percent accurate at detecting downs. The dr. is frowning on the amniocentesis route. She feels that we tried so hard and finally got pregnant, she thinks its risky.

Did any of you have amniocentesis. I think I do want to have it. I just want to know. I dont want to be shocked with that on the day of delivery. I want to be prepared. I pray for a healthy baby.

Catharine,
I would go ahead and go for another. It doens't matter that you just had one, people do it all the time. If I didn't get so sick during pregnancies, I would do it too so my little one would have a sibling close to his or her age. I say do what makes you and your family happy. Its your life.

Yasmina,
Hope you are doing well with your new little one.

Tammy and tracy, hope you are doing well. If I missed anyone, please forgive me. My brain is a little slack lately.

Take care to all.
