hey ladies

chriss - i'm so sorry you're feeling so low. and i know you dont want to hear this but i have seen many people on here CONVINCED AF was on her way and they ended up getting BFPs. try and keep your faith but it sounds like you have a backup plan if you are right. would you go to IVF next time round???? (although i hope and pray you wont need to answer that question! )

icsi - what the f***?!?!?!?!?!!! what an idiot of a doctor to tell you something like that!!!! fair enough after you've had 10 chemical BFPs but not after 2!!!!!!! thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. look at beachbaby....she had chemical ones and they put her on baby aspirin. and that seems to have done the trick. there are plenty of variables with ivf and plenty of things they can therefore change. i think considering someone else to carry should be only done when they KNOW you CANNOT possibly carry. but that shouldnt even be questioned yet. i hear you about being scared to go to another clinic. i had some reservations about my clinich after my first BFN (they didnt give me a consultation afterwards, only a telephone chat, they didnt call me back for 5 days after my BFN when they said they would call me back the same day, etc) and thought about going to another one. we decided to have one more cycle at the same clinic (ie the second cycle) but whilst doing my second cycle we looked at about 5 other clinics and actually paid out to have a consultation at another clinic for the third try. this clinic was exactly what i imagined a clinic to be and there was no doubt we were going there for our third try. i even thought about stopping mid-cycle to transfer there and start my 2nd cycle again. but i thought, no, we'll have one more cycle at our clinic and then we'll transfer if another BFN. this backup plan that i was extremely happy with certainly helped me to cope with the idea of another BFN. so what i'm saying is, if you dont wanna leave your clinic, there's no harm in looking elsewhere.

Hello everyone, this will be a short post because I am at work.

Chriss I am soo sorry that you are feeling down and I ditto what everyone else has said. Don't assume yet, but if this is not it, then take a deep breath and try to move on to the new plan, which will be IVF again right? What do you want to do? I am here if you want to talk.

Angie, I also ditto what everyone else has said. I think you should get another opinion we are here for you to talk, but ultimately you have to make the decision with DH and if you are willing to wait a little longer I would move on to another clinic. I am lucky that I have two right here in town. Hopefully I won't have to worry about the other one, but it is nice to know. Please try to stay positive and don't let it keep you down all day.

Steph, Congrats on your job I am so happy for you. You and baby will be starting a job in June right? When is your test date?

Mia, what the heck did DH do when you gave your gift? Ooh I can't wait to surprise him. I hope I get to at least.

ICSI: I know everyone got in before me (they usualy do cos they use this thread MORE than what i do - so why i'm getting the fault for breaking it i dont know!!!!! lol) but i agree that u should go and check out the other clinic at least, it will do no harm. I know u like ur other place and u feel at home there - but u might fee the same else where too - so go and check it out, u never know, it might be worth the trouble P.S - Did i say - its lovely to have u back here hun - u were missed xxx (By me obvisouly, the others were too busy breaking the board to care lol)

Hello all!! At home watching Jim and Nicole do Guitar Hero. Jimmy, my stepson is in bed they have both been sick all week. But feeling better now. Did Mia ever show up? She gets knocked up and deserts us?

ok ok I am here. Dh doesn't work on Fridays - so it is like our Saturday.

SO... DH came home on Thursday and was really pissed b/c right before he left his manager started all this crap (dh just filed a complaint today with EEOC due to discrimination). So he was so angry but said he was trying to not let it ruin our vday celebration... SO I said well I have a gift for you maybe it will make you feel better. He opened it and saw the shirt and like I thought he didn't get he laughed then he picked it up and underneath the shirt was my pee stick, it took him a while and then he just laughed and said where did you get this. I was like it is real. He says no its not - and it took me about 3 minutes to convince him I am pg! Then he was just in so much shock he didn't react at all. SO I was a bit bummed b/c I expected something bigger - So we decided we needed to go and celebrate and we went to The Melting Pot - fondue place (w/o reservations) and they said if we wanted to wait an hour and a half they could get us a table - so we sat at the bar. Then when we started eating I think it started to sink in and he started kinda tearing up as he was saying a toast to me. We are still really not believing it. But dh started talking about which room we would use for the nursery and he is really excited - it just took a bit to sink in!! I got to tell our good friend tonight (we decided to just tell her for a while) and she was soooo excited and it felt really good to telll someone and talk about it!!

So that is my story I have been so distracted this week I am not ready for my classes tomorrow SO I need to prepare Thurs-Sun are busy for me - but ya;ll know you cant get rid of me mon-Wed!! I go in tomorrow for a second beta!

Sorry I left ya'll hanging - dh was getting worried about all the time I spend here so I am trying to do it when he is not around!!!

Appointments are so far apart at this stage that I haven't seen the doc or midwife since it started happening. I just keep dissappearing for breaks at work and make sure I've got food in my bag wherever I go

Hiya ladies,

Congratulations Mia. Thats fantastic news. This must have been your best valentine ever. Hope you're enjoying every minute.

Logged on after a few days as have been really ill. So please forgive the lack of personals. Will have to catch up later. My stimm drugs were increased yet again (I only want 2 embies - why do they insist on getting enough for a litter???). Dunno if its because of the drugs or just feeling down generally. But I have been throwing up and have had a fever and aching muscles, sore throat and violent coughing. Haven't kept down anything since Wednesday. I spent Valentines day throwing up . All my insides hurt so much and then it leads to other thoughts like will it affect my follicles?

Its back to bed for me. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Angel, oh my gosh I hope you feel better. Just try to drink any many fluids as you can keep down and make sure to keep taking whatever vitamin you doc has you on to at least get some of your electrolytes in you. I am so excited for you, yay you get to have your litter started on Monday.
