Hi ladies
Tali sending you some of that luck your looking for theres nothing worse than things not going as expected but i'm sure you'll be just fine so heres some good thoughts coming you way for a nice thick lining and better E2 levels for tommorrow. Btw its always nice when visitors leave its nice having them but theres nothing like having your own space back goodluck tommorrow.
Hey MrsG i had a frozen cycle without any meds at all until after the transfer and then i only had progesterone supps so i yes it can be done just talk with your doc and i'm sure you'll feel better once you have your answers.
Hello Washingtonda with my first cycle I cycled for 7 days my 2nd cycle i responded even worse so my stimming time was extended to 14 days so i guess it comes down to the individual and how things are progressing could you not give them a ring and see if the have a possible date for you not knowing is always the worse especially if you have to organize time off and stuff.
Good luck i hope you have lots of fat juicy follies for EC.
Schel hi there the morning lunch or evening sickness is awful isn't it wait till you get to the point where you can't stand smells i couldn't stand the thought of eating bacon or bananas and found i couldn't get enough grapes to eat and choc sundaes the sundaes i had to exert some control. one peice of advise is to not let yourself get hungry try eating small snacks and meals throughout the day i know it helped me to not feel so yuk and i didn't throw up once during the whole pregnancy so i like to think it helped me. Mind u i hugged the bowl seriously to or three times where i was so close i hope you don't get it too bad.
Hello Colesmom and Laglenik i think i am closer to your time tables so just checking in to see how things are going for you both have you guys started yet. And yes happy new year heres hoping for a baby boom for all.
As for me i started Lucrin injections today can anyone tell me is lucrin the same as lupron just curiuos. I should start gonal f injections hopefully on the 18th if my cycle behaves that is and hopefully go for Ec around the 23rd 24th aprrox. Its stupid this is my 4th cycle and i feel like it's my first all over again i had the nurse do my first injections a bit nervouse i'm afraid so tommorrow wiil be the test seeing none of the injection techniques even slightly sunk in .
Anyhow best go hope your all well

Hi Blondzella
Sorry missed you in my last post welcome and goodluck with your cycle BTW the injection point is really up to you i prefer the thigh I don't think it matters medically whether you put it in your thigh or tummy i think its more to do with where your comfortable you could try both points and see which your prefer and go from there. Sorry do have to run goodluck
Take care Jomaexxx
Mrs. G,
Sorry, I'm not on Lupron cuz I'm already in ovarian failure due to chemo. Ask RE what has the higher success rate (with or without lupron) When is your follow up?
Jomae, Yes I have started my cycle. Started lupron on the 28th and stop my bcp and estrogen on the 3rd. My ER and Et is around the 21st. I`m new to all of this and can`t get use to the needle thing. My DH can not stand the sight of a needle so I do all my own injections. Glad the lupron can be given in the thigh. I have to get ready for the tummy shots. I`m hoping to things go well and they move me up a bit for my ER.

Hi jomae,
thanks for asking after me...i started buserelin injections and for someone who has ALWAYS had a problem with needles, they're actually not as bad as i expected and i've done them all by myself...i take my last BCP on thursday.,and am told AF should arrive shortly after..thank God as i've been spotting on those pills from day one.since nov.12 and it has never stopped, not once,so i'll be happy to see the end of that phase of my ivf cycle...i go in for for b/w and u/s on fri.11,will let everyone know how that goes.
I don't know if its naivete on my part but i have such a good feeling about the outcome of this my first ivf and cant wait for the next 3wks till ER/ET
Colesmom hope as time passes the injections get easier for you
Back from the u/s and the news is not good. Only one measurable follical. They are keeping me on the max 800 ius per day and I go back in on Friday which will be day 9. My RE said as long as my E2 is rising and I am showing some response, they would keep me on the stimms for up to 15 days.
I am a little bummed as this is our second try with a different protocol and this time i am responder worst than the last.
Any advice on anything I can/should be doing? My RE is pretty much at a loss, I am 35 and my FSH is 7 so the poor response is a bit of a surprise.
How is everyone else doing? happy stimming for those who are stimming. Who is testing next?
keep you fingers crossed for me that I don't get cancelled again! Just want to get to the ER/ET step!
Blondzilla: My RE said that the tummy is better because it gets the meds to the right places quicker and more efficiently. Not sure how true this is, but I have always done it in my tummy.
Well, the nurse just called with my e2 numbers and they only went up 3... from 67 to 70
they want me to continue until friday, but I have a feeling they will cancel.
anyone else has experience with responding poorly to the stimms? I don't know what else we can try. I already did the lupron protocol and although there were more follies at this stage, only one grew to 18 mm. This time they were going to try Antagon and i have even worst results.
Well - finally a beta after 3 positive HPG's...drum roll...800!! Sounds really high to me. The nurse said I was 'very pregnant'. Funny as that is usually reserved for much later in the process. I wish I could just enjoy it, but I worry that the numbers will double etc. The number of ladies on these threads that have lost precious ones after 5 or 8 weeks makes my heart break and my mouth more cautious. I feel fine except for a bit of hyperstimulation swelling (came back on Friday) and extreme tiredness. DH and I went downhill skiing on Monday (easy trails) and after the tounge-lashing my sister-in-law gave me for putting myself at such a risk, I am not sure if I will do that again. Too bad I bought a season pass, but if this pregnancy sticks it will be ok.
Doreen - I didn't really get any symptoms from any of the stim meds. I was on Lupron and Gonal-F. After day 9 U/S, my ovaries were a bit sore because they were full of eggs and they poked them.
I stimmed for 12 days - can't remember who was wondering. I need to take better notes now with so many on the thread - which is wonderful - lots to read. Hopefully it will be a big, happy soap opera.
Keisha - twins?? Good luck! Can't wait to hear about the ultrasound.
I read that the best absorption of the meds is in the abdomen, even though some find that it hurts less in the thigh.
Shel (short for Michelle?) - yeah - morning sickness! Not that I wish for you to spend more time worshipping the porcelin god, but it seems like the more and stronger the symptoms, the better at this point. I would welcome it (which is easy for me to say before the fact!).
To Talli and Blondzella and all other new people - welcome!
Esperenza - how is it going? Haven't heard from you in a day or so.
Melissa

Tali -- Sorry to hear of your not so good news. Please hold the faith. My levels were really low (47) and in two days, they increased to 144. Two days atter that which is today and they are 724.
Can anyone answer a question for me. My nurse said that this number is a little high for the size of my follicles at this point. I have three measuring 11, 2 at 10 and 12 and 2 at 13. They have reduced my Menopur back to 1 vial each during the nightly dose. They have me coming in every day now for checks. Does this mean I'm getting closer. She thought I might trigger on Sunday and have ER on Tuesday. Does this seem right. I didn't know you trigger two days before ER.
They didn't seem too concerned about anything so I'm keeping positive.
I have to drive 1:45 minutes to the docs and that is what's starting to wear on me more than anything. It's an early morning for me as I test at 7:00 so I'm not too late for work. I leave home at 5:30am.

IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

My Dr called me earlier today. He said he wanted to stick wiith the same protocol this time that he felt it was ok for me to do the suppositories to help eliminate the needles and make it more convenient since DH is out of town. They are starting me on BC pills today and the nurse is suppose to call me this afternoon to tell me the approximate dates of everything so I will know ahead of time (She will mail out my calendar to me).
He also indicated that everything has looked great so far, I asked about the scope and he said he didnt feel it was necessary because my concerns would like in the cervix which would've caused them to have problems getting through and they aren't so it wouldn't affect any implantation. I let him know this would be our last one before we would be forced to take a break because of finances and having to do a fresh cycle again.
My 2 frozen snowbabies are a day 5 blast and a day 6. So we shall hope and pray that I get a sticky BFP this time! I will keep you updated.
Good Luck to all of you ladies stimming and coming up on your transfers!!!!

Update to this my Nurse just called me and told me we are going to go this cycle without the lupron!! Im so excited! It will shorten the cycle and then i will just be on estrogen and progesterone. My transfer date is schedule for February 20th.
Haven't been on for the past few days because I haven't been feeling well. I got my 3rd beta and it is bad news for me, 325 to 467. The nurse says to keep taking the meds and an u/s schedule for next tuesday. She also said that I might miscarry over the weekend. This hurts so much! This is my 3rd miscarriage. I think I would rather never see the BFP if I knew it was always going to result in this. My heart is so broken. Dh is being supportive and I just feel that I'm harming these babies everytime I put them back in me.
Sorry to be selfish, I will post personals as soon as I can. I pray for all the best for everyone!

What did he say bout the transfers, were the embryos difficult to place?
You know it was our last 2 frozen embies too and it was the first transfer were they had really great visual placment. As you know, one or two of those embies stuck!
I pray it's ur turn this time, that your embies are super strong , both survive the thaw, and then sticky vibes will attach them to your lining, then they will continue to grow and grow and grow!
Keisha,
Please do not think you will miscarry, don't even put that out there in the universe. Please think positive and have faith! Let us all pray for you! God can do ANYTHING!
