EShepherd- I'm so happy you got so many that fert. That's great! Do you know how many you are going to have transferred?
To answer your question....how do I feel. Well, I am completely exhausted! I have no idea why and it's freaking me out. DH says it's because I have not done anything today. (Which is fine...I'm just following Dr orders) I woke up at 12:30pm today after sleeping for 12 hours. EEK! WIthin a few hours I felt tired again. I don't really have any cramping but it feels like my ovaries are having twinges. Weird or normal? DH left today until Saturday for work so I'm alone and very bored!

Question for anyone...I had my transfer last night. The ER was last Friday. They said that 1 egg matured on Saturday and was fertilized then. 2 eggs matured on Sunday and were fertilized then. They transferred all 3. So they are different ages. So they day they were fertilized was day 1 right? I am trying to figure out how old they were. Like were they 5 day, 4day, 3day? Any opinions on which ones have the best sticky dust??? I saw that someone posted on a different board they stages they go through every day. I am guessing the Saturday one would be trying to implant now. I have not had any spotting yet. Not sure if that's good or bad. If you had a BFN did you have any signs that you knew it was going to be a BFN?

Sorry I have so many questions. I hate bugging my RE. Does anyone know of a good book I could read? I feel so lost and confused! Thanks for listening ladies. :D

Pep23 - awesome beta number and can't wait for your scan.

D.in.Italy - When I had my BFP last time, I had cramping during my 2ww...so I'm hoping that is a good sign for you.

TDF - I hate the PIO, but I did several things to make it better. I always iced the area and my DH would put the PIO in a heating pad for a few minutes, which helps to make it go in better. Then afterwards I would massage the area and sit on a heating pad. It was a lifesaver.

Lisa32 - Waiting for results??

Pafa - congrats on being PUPO.

Kitty - How many eggs fertilized??

Bril - CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!! I am so happy for you.

Eshepherd - Good luck on your ET on Sunday.

AFM - I am still stimming and doing a lot of praying for things to go smoothly. My sister-in-law is currently in labor as I type this. I am really happy for her and yet sad for myself. My other sister-in-law will be having her baby next week. So that means I have to be around two newborns as I am doing this cycle and I think it only makes it harder. I try to not be jealous, but as you can imagine, that is very hard not to be. As my first SIL is texting me updates, it is all I can do to not breakdown and start crying.

Lisadcb - Hugs babe, I know how tough it must be with all those newborns arriving. Whilst in hospital, it seemed to me as though they kept putting me under the care of pregnant nurses or nurses who had IVF horror stories of their own that they felt the need to share with me. At least they didn't end up putting me on the ob/gyn ward where I'd be surrounded by newborns!

Hi ladies
Quick follow up. Between ER, my parents arriving from out of state, and trying to work from home I haven’t had a minute to update fert report.

I just wanted to let those with the BFN know that I'm thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. What a rough journey this can be.

Had my ER Wed 13 eggs. Of those 13, 10 were mature and 6 fertilized. I'm elated!!!!! Last time out of 18 only 2 fertilized so I'm real excited over this #. Now my dilemma.....How many to transfer :?: last time we did 2 (8 & 6 grading). I got a BFP but ended up m/c the following month. So what to do? RE said depending on grading he wanted to transfer 3. I don’t know how I feel about this. What if all 3 take? My RE (and me and DH for that matter) don’t want to risk a triplet pregnancy but twins I am comfortable with. I don’t think that I could make the decision for me and my family to have a selective reduction. But I also want to maximize our chances. Does this make sense? I’m sure that some (if not all) have been in the same situation so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

ET is tomorrow at noon :) Who will be my 2WW partners?

Congrats to all the BFP's! Hopefully more to come :D

Hi Kitty -

Crashing this thread because I wanted to reply to your post...I have my ET early this afternoon and just went through the very same questioning. I very much do not want to go through another fresh cycle and obviously want to get pregnant with this one. I have four embies and three are considered "pristine". I spoke to my RE about an hour ago, as I was contemplating three embies for a 3dt. He said that he just returned from a national IVF convention and they had a session exactly on this topic. He said the data for high quality embies is that adding another one only increases your chance of success by 3-5%....but increases your risk of triplets by 10%! My RE said that if two embies are going to take, you run a risk of getting a third. If none of the two are destined to take, that the third would not either.

So...I am going to transfer two today. I hope this helps!

kitty_mom - it is so hard to decide how many eggs to transfer. We had a huge debate over 1 or 2, and finally decided 2. I think if they mature well I would be scared to transfer 3 too. I had a friend who had two high quality and one low quality transferred (day 3 transfer) and she ended up with triplets. Did you have an ultrasound before you m/c? Do you know if it was one or two?

kizmet - every time I think about all you have been through, I am amazed at how strong you are and horrified that it had to happen.

pep32 -everything is looking great!

bril - congrats.

PA - I just wanted to tell you with my BFP, I really had no symptoms. No spotting, no nothing=) so no symptoms is not a bad thing.

stlgirl- don't apologize for crashing...join the fun! I just had my ET 2 days ago on Wednesday. Good luck on yours today!

Kitty- I am here on the 2ww with you! Just a couple days ahead. This is my first time and they transferred 3. I REALLY hope that does not result in triplets but if it does...well...let's just worry about that when it happens. First thing is to get that BFP right?

purple- thanks for the encouragement. I keep having twinges of light cramping. Like I can feel my ovaries reacting to something weird. It's just strange. I really hope to get a BFP on my first try. DH is already trying to save $$$ to do another cycle because he is convinced that we can not be this lucky on our first try. LOL

AFM (I just figured out what this meant by the way. I kept looking to see who AFM was...duh. I'm such a blond!) I am in the middle of my 3dpt so just hanging out doing nada and watching HGTV. How much house hunters can there be??? LOL

Hi Ladies

stlgirl-Please crash any time I always like to have someone else to "talk" to. Thanks for the input for the ET. I'm going to wait and see the grading tomorrow before I make a decision. Glad to be in the 2WW with you :D

purple- i didnt make it to my 1st US before the MC happened so I didnt get to see how many. The only person I know personally that had IVF done had 4 transferred twice. didn't get preg 1st time and 2nd time had high quality embies and she became pregnant with 1 baby boy so I'm real confused. But like I said I'll decide tomorrow. How are you feeling?

PA_FA-You are right about getting the BFP 1st - sometimes I get ahead of myself  Triplets scare me but not having a baby scares me more! I know its hard to not anylize every twinge we feel, but try not to stress out. Easier said than done I know but it really is whats best for you. Do you mind me asking the grading of the transferred embies?

Bei-Sorry your having a rough time. I had 18 my first time too and it wasn't pleasant. I'd do the list but I don't know how to do all those pictures and stuff. Rest up! Looking forward to hearing your fert report.

Have a good night. Going in tomorrow at noon. baby dust baby dust baby dust baby dust baby dust baby dust

kitty - it is so hard to decide how many. Age also plays a factor too, my friend with the triplets was 28 at the time. This was my first IVF and since I was 30 my dr said that he wouldn't transfer more than 2. For older women at my clinic the routinely transfer 3 or 4. If you trust your doctor, then do 3 if he thinks it is the right number, hopefully he had enough experience to make a good call. I feel fine, thanks. It's funny if I hadn't had the blood test I wouldn't think I was pregnant. I am still anxious about the ultrasound, I think I will feel better once I hear the heartbeat, and find out if it is one or two. Good luck tomorrow, I hope it goes smoothly! Will you be on bedrest after ET?

bei - I am glad to hear from you, I was worried. I am sorry you are having a horrible time after ER. I hope you start feeling better soon. 18eggs is wonderful, hopefully they all do well. Don't stress about the list, focus on feeling better and resting up for the big ET.

PA - it is so hard to tell anything during the 2ww, especially if you are on progesterone, it pretty much mimics common early pregnancy side effects. It could just be your ovaries recovering from the ER too. All these different twinges is enough to make a person crazy  hang in there though, you will make it through it.

Kitty- Since this is my first try at anything with a RE I didn't know what questions to ask. I am kind of just going with the flow. Out of the 4 that fertilized he said that 3 looked really good and one looked eh. Or maybe he said 3 great and one eh. Either way...3 looked good so he transferred the 3. I asked him how he knew that the 4th just looked eh and he answered, "Experience." OK...so I guess I just have to trust him on this. I'm kind of going on blind faith here. I really don't believe that it will happen on the first try...it seems like that would just be too good to be true. We shall see.....only 9 days until my first beta. I'm flying to Charlotte tomorrow for a BBQ. Hope the little ones like the airplane ride and it makes them implant even more!!!!!!!!

Bei - hope you are feeling better soon. I can sympathise with you more than you can imagine! I hope you get plenty of good embies from your 18 eggs! Hugs babe.

I also wanted to say a big thanks to everyone here for their concern. You have no idea how comforting it was to know that there was people out there that would understand how awful I was feeling and devastated I was to only end up with 2 frosties from what I thought was 6. While I know I should be grateful to have those 2 embies, it still feels like I lost something and that when I had 6 it seemed like more than enough to get pregnant from a FET cycle, whilst 2 seems like a slim chance. I'm feeling much better, well at least I am pretty much over the pain from the OHSS but of course, just to ruin my week, AF turns up today and the cramping is worse than usual. Next week had better be a better one! On the upside, the whole thing has resulted in a 3kg weight loss! So last week I lost 2kgs, gained 6.6kgs and then lost it all again for a net loss of 3kgs! Now to keep it off!
