Hey Tiger

Glad to hear that work is enjoyable. It must be a real buzz to be back in the workforce after 15 months. With regard to your colleagues, I would continue to let them wonder why you are back, or try and cultivate some juicy rumours to keep them all guessing. Nothing like a bit of mystery and intrigue.

You must have some incredible willpower. I would have got out the old HPT ages ago!! It is up to you whether you want to wait for DH or not but me......I would test! Whatever you decide, I hope it is a BFP!!

Have a great weekend ladies.

Cheers
Heather

Hey Tiger,

I'm with Heather, let your colleagues chat I say..they will start some juicy rumours and your life will sound all terribly interesting and glamorous! As for the HPT, I really am not a fan. I have done sooooo many over the years that have been negative I am terribly biased against them. Having said that, they are wonderful too when you get that extra line (I went through two boxes once I had had my pregnancy confirmed by blood test just so I could experience this over and over again). What does hubby think?

Hi Gals,

My hubby wants me to speak to the doc first.... so I rang the clinic but I was told to call back on Monday - I am not too fussed. Hubby and I are vey cautious about it all... but he says if I want to do it, then why not, he is happy for me to do whatever I am comfortable with. I will see how I feel today and tomorrow :!: . I just hope I don't have phantom pregnancy......

Went to Victoria Market with my dad this morning. We bought some fresh goods and did cuppa and pastry, my folks are the best. Love them to bits.

OK, off shopping now.

Cheers, Tiger

Hello girls,

How's everyone been? Sorry I haven't been in here for a couple days. I think i've lost part of my brain. That and everytime I came on I was limited in time and it's so hard to catch up with everyone once your off for a couple days.

So, where are we?

Heather!!! How's your dogs doing? I hope they're ok and they're well on they're way to recovery by now. Nice to see your community involvement, and I hope the *&&)(% bleep bleep bleep gets caught!!

Jo, I'm sure your on holidays right now but just wanted to say hi. How exciting that your feeling movement. I'm so happy for you. It's a very exciting time!

Belinda!! How are you doing? How's Annie? Hope she's feeling better. It's hard when they're her age, it seems like they're always catching colds. Hopefully it won't last long. When my daugther was young she had pnemonia about 10 times, whooping cough and everything else under the sun. At 5 they immunized her with pnemonia vaccine and she didn't get it again. Hope your keeping well yourself and getting rest.

Deanne, 15 weeks pg for you to. Wow :) Exciting~! You'll probably start feeling movement soon. Have fun at your scan, they're so exciting at this stage.

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger! Ok, first off i'll just say hiya and it's nice to see you back. Secondly i'm going to ask you where you get your amazing self control? LOL I would have been down to the chemist 5 times already LOL I'm smiling right now and all I can say is I hope so badly for you that you have a beautiful surprise waiting for you. Huggs to you!

As for me? Well i'm just popping these little bc pills everyday. Only have 13 left and then its the waiting game. Hubby is off to Cairns tomorrow till monday, then he's off to China again on Wed for 4 days. He's promised me if all goes well he's going to be here for sure this time. Anyways, it's almost 2am. Only 2more hours then I take hubby to airport. I had to work till 11:30 tonight and decided to stay up because I knew I would sleep thru the alarm. I'll sleep after I get back from airport.

Well, that's it for me. Sorry for rambling on and on. Thank you all for being here, for all your thoughtful posts, and for always supporting me and helping me keep my PMA up! Your the best.

Hi everyone,

So sorry I have not posted in ages - MIL & FIL have been staying with us over the last week, so I have been busy.

Glad you are back in OZ Tiger & that work is a breeze. I hate to say it, but I would go out & get a preg test - thats just me, very inpatient!!!!!

As we are not planning our next cycle until January, we have decided to add 2 more weeks onto our trip. We are going on a 2 week cruise through Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama & Aruba. I am soooo excited I just can't wait. I am on a get fit quick thing at the moment, hoping to shed a couple of kg's before we go!

We have our follow up in a couple of weeks - pretty nervous about finding out what went wrong.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday - I'm off to work :(

Hey all,

Annie is definately getting better, though I have found that it's the time between unwell and well that they're the highest maintenance. Annie just is soo used to being carried and cuddled (which is of course lovely) that now if I put her down to do something (ie go to the toilet etc!) she tries to climb up my legs and into my arms..Poor little poppet, she has the runniest greenest nose still too, seems to take ages to go away all together, just in time to get it again!!

MissMolly, your trip sounds AMAZING, I am very very jealous!!, as I have said, much better to go now than when you are with small child, travel is much harder with little people I have found! Great that your appointment is coming up soon, will be interesting to hear some answers and some solutions for ensuring that the next cycle is much more successful.

Paula, god, you had a tough time with your daughter getting sick!!..Did they know whey she kept getting pneuominia??..So glad that hubby will be back for the next cycle, I do find that Johnie has been incredibly supportive during this whole IVF lark!

Tiger, what are you up to??, have you made any chemist trips??

Hi all,

did anyone watch Australian Idol tonight? this is my first time watching it - and I like it, all good fun. I don't have any favourites but I like to see people working towards their dreams.

MissMolly, WOW, you have a wonderful holidays lined up - I too am very envious of you. Cruise around Central America sounds a dream. You really deserve this rest, when do you depart? I am booked in for a Christmas with hubby's family in UK : ) . Good luck with your follow up consultation. I hope they can tell you exactly what went wrong. I am yet to resume my acu session btw, I am thinking when I start popping pills again maybe...

Paula, happy to hear that your hubby has made a promise to be by yourside when you start the main part of the treatment. I hated not having my hubby with me in my last attempt, I am hoping this time I will be little more stronger.

Heather, how was your weekend buddy? Looks like weather down in Melbourne will be crappy this week; I don't mind cool weather - just dlslike cold weather.

I had a call back from the nurse this morning, they want me to go in for a scan and a blood test this week. I asked her whether I should try HPT before I see the doc, she said not a bad idea - so I did. And the result is negative - nothing I didn't expect. But now I am worried, my sis reckons Synarel has finally worked; What the hell????????? I might take it up with GenForum to see if anyone else has had this experience.

Bel, the trip to chemist was easy peasy but I think manufaturers should provide us with a cup with the HPT kit as well. I am not saying I made a mess doing it (drain method) - truly!

Hoping everyone here has a wonderful week. Catch ya,
Tiger

Hey Tiger,

Gotta hate those negative HPT's, well done for facing it though, it's not an easy thing. Sorry to hear of the outcome. No idea as to why af hasn't come yet, something to ask the doctor if it hasn't arrived by the appointment?..Maybe it's just taking it's good old time (as she usually does when you're waiting to recommence another cycle I always found!!!)..You can get HPT's with a cup (I have tried most of the brands in my time it would seem!!)

Welcome to a new week ladies.
Take care

Paula, glad to hear that DH made it home....sorry to hear it wasn't for too long. Great news that he should be around for your next treatment. Will he be doing the injections this time or are you gonna stick with what you know?

Tiger, sorry about the negative HPT. I feel a bit guilty now for encouraging you to do it. I did have a quiet chuckle about the mess factor though...I think most of them were invented by men! I hope your clinic is able to give you some answers and do something to bring AF on. Can the acupuncture help out with this? I haven't watched Aust Idol but I am sorry I missed last night...it was Aussie music night I am told which would have been good.

MissMolly, wow your holiday sounds fantastic. I too am green with envy. It really isn't that long to go now...you will be strolling the streets of NYC before you know it!

Belinda, glad to hear the Annie is feeling a bit better. I hope you have managed to get to the toilet alone today! That snot sucker must have been your best buy this year...it has certainly had a workout. Hope she is back to her old self before too long.

Life is returning to normal here. Dogs are really well and the cat had his plaster removed on the weekend (and he can walk, yay). We are hoping not to visit the vet again this year! The weekend was great with lovely weather and even some rain....I even managed to do some gardening. I, like Paula, am just popping those little BCP and counting down the days until treatment starts again.

Hope our little mums (Deanne and Josie) are keeping well and the bumps are growing. Hello too to Barbara, hope you and your family are all well.

Take care all

Hi Ladies,

saw the doc yeterday - did a scan and a blood test - and I am not happy :( . That nasty follicle is still there... aghh.... . Upon receiving a blood test result the doc will confirm what step I should take next. He said most likely scenario will be for me to start taking bcp to regulate my body. As for the follicle I will have to wait for it to disappear naturally..... I will eventually get my AF back - but WHEN???

Pula, I hope your last 24 hours was a good-crazy 24 hours. I have 6 more sleep to go and then I am back with my hubby. Counting down every hour now...

Cheers, Tiger

Good Morning ladies,

Daughter is much better today, thanks :) I"m sure she had food poisoning from a ceasar salad we bought at woolies. I haven't seen her so sick in such a long time. It's kinda strange that we were just talking about kids being sick and then there she goes hey Bel? They don't know why she was so sick as a child. My theory is that when she was born she was a week early and was in distress. It was an emergency birth that almost turned into a c-s. On her way out she defacated inside me and swallowed it all. Her lungs were filled with meconium. The took her away and suctioned out her lungs and didn't bring her back to me for hours. Meanwhile I lay there hemoraging and almost had to have emergency surgery myself. They were prepping me for surgery when an injection they had given me to start clotting worked. The whole thing was a bloody nightmare. I remember saying afterwards that I would never do it again. I probably jinxed myself hey? Anyways, since then i've had one mc and have never gotten pregnant again. I now feel very blessed that I was able to have her at all. It's been a crazy 15 years, in between all that she's managed to break her arms 5 times. Knocking on wood right now! Yes, she's alwasy been very active and play hard kind of girl...lol. The dr.s say there is no explanation for all the broken bones. She doesn't have anything wrong with her bones. It's just the way it's gone. One time she went snowboarding with her school. I got a phone call from someone on the mountain telling me they had my daughter on a snowmobile on the way to the med centre. They thought she'd broken her back! I had a bloody heart attack and almost died right there on the spot. I don't even remember half the stuff I was screaming at the poor guy on the other end of the phone but after it all was said and another nurse phoned me 10 mins later to tell me it was her arm, I had never been so sick and relieved at the same time. Oh, yes, and before I forget, I didn't tell you about the time she electricuted herself and shut the power down in the whole apartment complex we were living in  Yep, car keys went in the electrical outlet! The electricity went in through the key and luckily for her they went out the other end of the key. Melted the key. She had burns on her hand but nothing else. Thank god!

It's been a very interesting 15 years. I wouldn't take back a second of it :D

So, now that i've babbled on for hours here. How's everyone doing?

Tiger, I replied to you in another thread, but am very happy to hear that you'll be with hubby soon. It's very important to have them for the support, I know!

Heather, dh won't be doing my injections again for me  I'll be getting my dd to do them, she's a pro

Bel, hope Annie is much better now. Just a question, do you have allergies? That's another thing I forgot to tell you. My dd has allergies and so do I. Alot of plants and things. Outdoor mold, etc. I also think that was the cause of alot of sickness. Would be interesting to find out if that's the same in your case.

Missmolly, sounds like you have a wonderful holiday planned. Wish I was going with you

Well ladies, it's off to the opening of Krispy Kreme in our town today. I just love they're glazed donuts!! Have a great day girls.

ps. 8 more bc pills to take and then hopefull af arrives so I can start tmt again.

Hi everyone!

Paula - I am so jealous! I love Krispy Kreme, but we are yet to get them here in Melbourne. I was at work the other day, and we all started talking about Krispy Kreme. Someone mentioned that you could get them delivered from Syd to Melbourne. As soon as we heard this, we got on the website & started writing down everyones orders. I then rang the courier company, only to be told that delivery would cost around $250!!!!! Our dream was shattered! No donut in worth $250!

Tiger - Sorry to hear about the BFN, but at least you know. What is with that naughty follicle  When you want the damn things, we don't get enough of them, and when we don't want them, there they are!!!!

Heather - I am so glad your furry babies are ok after that shocking ordeal. I hope they catch the *?/*&%#!!!!!

Bel - Poor little Annie. I know I used to get loads of colds when I was a child - one after the other. I grew out of it though - lets hope Annie does too.

I am trying to enjoy my day off, as I have 10 days in a row coming up at work!

Is anyone watching Rockstar Inxs on foxtel? I love it & am hooked! The final is next week. I have not got into Idol yet this year, but I will once Rockstar finishes.

Have a lovely day :D

Hey all,

Paula, what a traumatic experience!..I must confess to being a complete wuss and opting for an elective caesar with Ms Boo, was very routine, very fast (32 minutes from wo to go!) and really quite civilised..Apparently there is a much higher rate for elective c's in IVF women, not sure why, but I always figured that I wanted this precious baby out in a really safe and predictable fashion. Is such a personal call though, have had lots of friends who have pushed out babies and say how fabulous the whole thing is and they wouldn't have missed it for the world..Good question re. allergies, I really do suspect that Annie might have some hayfevery type symptoms brewing. John has quite severe hayfever / sinus type experiences and I am allergic to some types of grasses, I read that if both parents are affected there is a 60% chance of babies developing it, so I guess there would be no real surprise for Annie. The doctor says that they are reluctant to diagnose until she is two, at which stage we can have her tested..Has your daughter been able to manage her symptoms successfully??, was it a big deal to do??

Tiger, can't believe it's that soon until you see hubby, seems to have gone fast (not for you though probably!)..have you planned any welcome back type celebrations?

All well here, Annie had day care yesterday and I worked. I also had lunch and did some grocery shopping (plus all those other jobs that are a little more difficult with a bub in tow!!)...

Take care all, two more sleeps until the weekend.

Hi girls,

Missmolly, I could eat krispy kreme's all day. LOL I know what your talking about. I got a coupon to buy one dozen and get one dozen free, if I knew a cheap way to ship them down to you I would do it in a heartbeat!
Can you imagine, phoning the courier company and having the guy show up and ask you what your sending?   to funny.

Bel, you didn't miss a thing by having a c-section, believe me!
If I ever get pregnant again that's exactly what i'll be doing. I don't understand these women who tell you it's the most beautiful experience they've ever had. :?: :? Cuz it's one of the worst experiences i've ever had  BUT!!! it was the worst experience with the most beautiful wonderful gift at the end :D

How's everyone else doing? Did you get the winds? We had them yesterday. Today was rainy and cold all day. Hopefully it gets better by tomorrow. I've had enough of this weather. Bring on the heat!!!

Hope everyone else is doing good. Take care girls.
