The morning injection is a great idea. I only did them at night just on the off chance that they made me sick. I can't remember if they told me to do them in the am or pm.

Cla, It's scary when you have no symptoms. I thought the symptoms I was having were side effects from the estrogen patches and the progesterone. I told my DH at the time tha tit sucked cause I really just had no idea as to whether or not I was preg.

Kelly, good luck girlie! Think "baby, baby, baby" I WAS nauseous before the follies were out and then after...

Angel, you meant Feb 13th...

Good luck everyone!!!!

Jackie and Jo....blowing my lucky baby dust your way! Catch it!

Hey Girlies,

Well tomorrow is the day i start injecting - am feeling such a mix of emotions just now!!! I blame the horror-moans

We're gonna the injection in the evenings rather than in the mornings because that way, if we have a clinic appointment and they decide to up the dosage, or even lower it, i don't have to re-inject, or worry that i've had too much, if that makes sense?

Hope everyone is good - love to all

Charlie, thanks for message, sorry to see you are covered in bruises. All for a good cause. I am waiting for AF (again!) I have had numerous cycles cancelled due to cysts and poor response to meds. Have been on this trail for a year and still haven't made it to EC! We are going for a short protocol as soon as AF arrives. I know it will arrive at the wrong time now because I have just booked a holiday to visit my sister in Ireland. I didn't book anything last year ...just in case. But have felt that I can't keep my life on hold forever. Watch this space

Good luck tomorrow Kelly, hope all goes well with your EC

Sophie, sorry to see you are feeling low. Sending you PMA in a bucket. As for the party, you could make an excuse for not drinking quite easily...on antibiotics, designated driver etc.. You could also have an emergency which made you late to help with tables...a puncture etc. OR come clean and tell them. I am a very private person and would prefer to tell a white lie. When you celebrate your BFP they will understand! Hang on in there!

Lynne, how was your scan. Hope all OK. When is ET?

Jackie, fingers crossed for tomorrow. Baby dust to you!

Eminde, hope EC went well today. when is ET?

Heather, good luck with starting inj tomorrow!

hi to all lovely ladies, PMA to all
Bye for now

Hi Anna,
I posted the details of my scan on the Can Anyone Help Thread. Very long winded and scary! BUT finally they said I could have EC on Thursday so am really pleased. I have to have a general though which is a bit scary. I hate the thought of being put to sleep. I've had it done once before and it was fine, but I still don't like the idea. I have woken up full of cold this morning. I can only guess it is stress as I've had it on and off since November. Will it make a difference to EC?
Hope everyone is doing fine. Sorry I can't greet you all individually- am off to work and already late. Aagh

Hi to all!

EC went very well yesterday and another dr told me that I could risk ET tomorrow and didn't need to wait another month!! It's so exciting. 17 eggs fertilized - I couldn't believe it. Just knowing that has got rid of the ovary pain  So much has happened since I last logged on:

JenC - CONGRALUTATIONS on your BFP!!!! You deserved it big time!
angel - good luck for your scan in Feb. You must be so pleased that everything sounds fine
JackieG - hoping today's your day!!
Jo - good luck for tomorrow!! and Cla on Friday!! Give us some more BFPs.
Heather - glad you can finally get started now. Hope it all goes well.
Angela - how was EC???
Kelly - hope EC goes well today and that you won't be in too much pain.
Lynne - for you too - hope it goes well on Thursday!
Sue e - pleased for you to hear that AF on it's way. How strange that your clinic has all those days when tmt is not possible. As if you don't have enough to cope with...
Anna - still jigging for you!!! It won't be long now. And thanks for keeping the list going - I'd be lost without it too
Sophie - hope you're feeling a bit better (sending lots of PMA to you). Personally I would tell your friends, especially as they had previously been supportive. I have told mine and they are an enormous source of strength for me. Maybe discuss it first with DH to see what he thinks (although my DH hasn't told any of his friends). We're all different :)

Updating the list for myself:

Hey to all. Af arrived and dh didn't want to try this cycle- thought it would be better to wait just a little while seeing as the BFN was truly devastating (as some of you know) and we are cash pay patients and have limited number of times we can try. We're very much stressed, as there has been severe illness with my parents who live 700 miles away, DH just received a huge promotion at work and with that was more responsiblity (etc) and my work right now is going through some changes and is quite stressful. Hopefully in a month or two- jobs will settle and other stresses will have calmed down a little. So, I'm going to remove myself from the list. I will still be reading and supporting all of you.

- Heather, Starts inj 31st Jan, 1st scan 14th Feb
- Lynne - scan Mon 30th to decide EC
- Sue-e - waiting for AF, FET Feb (hopefully)

Hi girlies,

Can I join your list - I only joined the site yesterday & have already got loads of info from fellow members.

I've got a follow consultation on Thursday 02 Feb and then hopefully can have FET during Feb - just waiting for next AF - last one was after BFN!

Good luck to you all.

Hi all!
Sophie - avoid the lifting at all costs. If your friends knew about treatment before, I would confide in them again. Their support could be invaluable. If you decide not too - I would have an "appointment" that meant I couldn't get there early to help out and an imaginary illness that meant you were taking antibiotics and can't drink!!!!
Lynne - Great to see they're going with EC. Good luck for Thu. I also had a general - whilst you do feel groggy afterwards, you certainly don't have any pain during the procedure which sounds like you really could do without. Cramps afterwards but nothing that a paracetamol didn't get rid of!!!
Heather - good luck with the injections!
Eminde - 17 fertilised - how fantastic!!
Berta - sounds like a sensible option to wait. Whilst it's frustrating, we have to be practical and give ourselves the best opportunity.
KellyL - welcome!

Not feeling too confident today. Having cramps now and pretty much expect af to show any time now. May be wrong, but am pretty much gearing myself up for a disappointment - honestly don't think this is my turn. :( but will try to hang on until it's definite.

Hope all is well with you all!

Cla, hang in there honey. I had cramps too and I'm preggo.

From last week, my hcg levels were at 110. Not sure about progesterone. They are going to call me later and give me the update on my levels. First ultra sound is on Feb 8th, which is 2 days too soon and they said they might not be able to see a heart beat, but we'll see. The day I was SUPPOSED to go, the doc is not in and he wants to see me.

Hello everyone,

Sorry about the moan and rant yesterday, I had a lot to get off my chest! Still feeling low but not as bad. THANKYOU to all of you who gave advice regarding whether or not to tell my friends. I still have not decided but there are a few occasions coming up over the next week that i should be attending with them and although I don't mind the occaisonal white lie, it would be one too many. I think I shall tell ONE of them and see what she thinks. The thing I worry about is the questions I would get everyday and the insane positivity (everyone assumes IVF always works) and if it did work, the pity from them if it ended in miscarriage. (although now that i write it down, perhaps that is what i need!) Will keep you updated...

Anyway, how are you all? Have read through all the posts and there is a wide range of emotions at the moment.

Cla - I am sending PMA vibes to you, it's not over yet.
Lynne - You made me laugh about your DH HAVING to eat his tea. Sounds familiar! Ha ha! My cats are called Fluff and Alfie. We have only had them for 2 weeks - they are adorable!
Jen - Everytime I read you name i smile - i am so pleased for you!! Can't believe your scan date! Keep us informed!
Anna - Can't believe you are having to wait for AF AGAIN!!!!!!! what a nightmare! I'm jigging away again for you!! Do you know when she is expected?
Eminde - Excellent news!! That must have been a real surprise for you. Good luck with the ET!
heather - glad to see you have finally started - great to have you 'back'.
Kelly - welcome - hope AF comes soon!
Lisa - Glad to see you on the list!

Jo - BFP for tomorrow - only one more sleep!!!!!!!!!! Babydust all the way!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Anna and Eminde for asking how EC went today. It was fine - I had IV sedation in the end and I was glad I did - it is a good halfway house before GA, and gives more pain relief when needed. My right ovary was way high, and the consultant had to get in another doctor to help get to it! that was quite painful. Apparantly about 1 in 50 are this tricky to get to! typical.

They got 11 eggs out though, so fingers crossed that all is fine with them. Find out weds for ET thurs hopefully.

Being a real nightmare concealing from the blabber-mouth in-laws as we are determined not to tell them one more thing following the practical national news broadcast about our treatment. Only now they are saying things like - 'noticed both of your cars were in the driveway today?'. Although it is sweet enough to know that they are left to guessing and are not in 'the know' anymore. That should be punishment enough for their indescretions!.

feeling a bit of discomfort now, but managable, and now starting to worry that we shouldn't have planned to take tomorrow off work after all?

so busy with everyone on here now isn't it. good luck to all!
