Hi gals,
Lauralou--I'm so sorry to hear about your swelling and BP. I hope you're drinking lots of water, because that's supposed to help. I'm swelling a bit, but I have a feeling it's going to get worse very soon. Your babies will be here shortly!
Kimberly--You sound just like me! I'm a busy body all the time. My husband swears that I don't know how to relax! During my first trimester, I was exhausted too...and napped more than I could have ever imagined. It drove me crazy to not be productive! The second trimester was much better, but I'm starting to slow down again. I guess we should sleep while we can! As for the delivery issues, my biggest nightmare it to deliver one vaginally and one c-sec. Two scars to heal from would be disastrous. I guess I'm in agreement with Em...the doc knows best. I know many people who have delivered vaginally with twins and done just fine. However, we went through so much to get these babies, I want to do whatever's safest to get them out! I guess even if they're both head down and you deliver the first one vaginally, the second one could turn (due to the space emptied by baby A) and become breech. Then, we'd have problems.
Em--I'm glad your mom was able to visit! Enjoy seeing DH when he comes home tonight!
Kimberly--I hope you were able to have a little fun last night without being out too late. A little warning about the home dopplers....my doc actually warned against it. Not that it's dangerous or anything, but he has had many patients who end up freaking out because they can't find a heartbeat. Since we're not trained to listen for heartbeats, we might not always be able to find it. So, just be careful not to freak yourself out! On the other hand, one of my coworkers had one, and it was reassuring to her. Just use with caution..
I got my glucose results back on Friday, and all looks good, which was a surprise to me. I figured I had gestational diabetes for sure (considering how much I loooove sweets.). No anemia either, so I was very pleased!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
