Maria- Loved the pictures! You and your husband look great!! Glad you had a wonderful time!!

Christy- They should definitely wait until after Spring break. It sounds like your DH is going to have a wonderful birthday! We had my parents drop by once, unannounced and it didn't go well.

Well the Dentist went HORRIBLE this morning and we ended up not getting anything done but heartache and pain. So he originally had a cleaning appointment but we called first thing and said we wanted the tooth out. Well the Pediatric Dentist, the one and only apparently couldn't do the Nitrous Oxide. She is also the ONLY one that can use the machine (makes ZERO sense to us!!) and was too busy. So we went ahead so they could do the Novocaine in the hopes he would be calm and all go well. So he gets in the chair and he's already nervous which doesn't help. They give him the first injection which caused him LOTS of pain. So now he's upset and hurting. He calms down some and they do two more. The one time I got that injection it was ONE and all was good. So he's had three of these things and says he isn't numb. So they do some testing to see and he's telling them Ouch it hurts and they keep doing stuff. So now he's in tears again. He was in so much pain he now had his feet in the air.

So they try (not very hard) to calm him but what really ticked me off was that he said pain is a part of growing up. I swear I was about to hurt someone in there. So I go to him and comfort him and got one of the assistants to get DH and we left. He just can't do it. All the damn military Doctors are off today and they were Friday, but we are calling in the morning to see if that can do Oral surgery to get it. A small IV and he's asleep and it's over. I want to cry thinking about how he looked/felt in that chair.

DH got a little upset with me about it all. I know he needs it out and it doesn't need to continue but I can't have him in severe pain like that. What really ticks me off about it.......the one and only one that can use the Nitrous, suddenly could "fit" us in. What's even more amazing as that she was talking to use for about 10 minutes and sitting in her office. So I don't know why they couldn't use that stuff in the first place!! If I wasn't there, they would have just pulled it while holding him down and that doesn't fly with me! NOT when they can do other things to help.

So please pray/send happy thoughts for him and us. That they have room in the next couple of days to remove it. Civilians were answering the ones and she said they usually can see patients right away but we won't know until tomorrow. I hope I made the right decision.

Hi ladies,
I went to see my OB today due to the continued bleeding. The ultrasound showed that the two bleeds have gotten significantly smaller which would explain tge very dark almost black bloody discharge that I have been experiencing. So this is good. Both babies are doing great. They were both moving around alot. We were able to get a good picture of Baby A this time but Baby B was a bit more difficult. My OB said it was fine to continue taking the Fiorecet for my migraines. Baby A was fret first this tine which explained the discomfort I've beef having in my cervix, ouch!!! Baby B was kicking away at my cervix. Hopefuly Baby A will find another position soon. So next appointment is next week. I will post some pics soon.

LauraN: have your meds arrived?

Leora: has af finally finished?

Akdelp: I would be furious and you have every right to be

Cyn22: did you go to the hospital and are you ovulating? Sending you positive vibes

Sunshine: really sorry to hear its so tough trying to get family on board, that's really tough. And it doesnt help when people dont see it your way. I hope your dh has a lovely birthday.

Really hope i didnt miss anyone

Afm: dad doing much better and thanks to all for your wishes. They still dont know what it is but he is a lot more comfortable. They are running more tests tomorrow. I have an 8am sns and my accupuncturist says my follicles should be around 10-13mm at this stage. Tonight was my sixth night of stims. Did anyone lose their appetite at this stage? Most unlike me but appetite reduced. Made a lovely chocolate orange cake and found my retrieved bailey licking the icing off!!! He is so not popular at the moment!!

Hello Ladies,

My I join? I'm a little late but I've been lurking on the board for a while now trying to decide when/if I should jump in. First I'd like to say I'm so happy to see so many women on this board supporting and helping one another. I've been on here for years now, but 3 years ago I lost my baby at 26 weeks and haven't been on the roller coaster since. I've checked in every now and then because I love seeing all the BFP and the determination of the everyone here.

A little about myself...I've been ttc for 11 years. I'm 34 and have ovarian reserve failure...I've had it for about 8 years, but was never tested for it becaue I was so young  I was suppose to have my first IVF cycle 3 years ago an while waiting for AF to start stims, I found out I had gotten preggors naturally. I was elated to say the least! Unfortunately my little angel was gone at 26 weeks. So here I am again cycling! I had my ER on 3/14 and they were able to get 6 egg...5 fertilized and today we tranferred the 2 that made it to blast (grade 5BA & 4BB) so they said they looked very good.

Keeping my fingers crossed and praying for a BFP. I'm wondering how quickly I can test after a 5 day blast?

I pray that everyone gets their BFP and for all the preggor ladies.....may you get to hold your baby soon :D :D :D :D :D

Thank you for your well wishes!!
Today at the doctors everything looked well! I have about 9 follicles on my left 3 of which are already at 16 & about 7 on my right the largest one being 16! My estrogen level oubled again from Saturday. Now at 3300. My doctor said I might not have to go the trigger shot (HGG) before the retrieval which will be a first! I go back agin tomorrow for U/S & lab. But looks good for Friday! Today is 8day of Stim so I'm glad I'm almost done. With my husband out of town it's so hard to give myself the shot.. But you just know you need it & go for it! Lol
We- its so exciting seeing the babies pictures!! Many congrats to you!!
Greekchick- I will be on the 2ww next week! Good luck!!
Sunshine- thank you so much for your story & yes not going to give up!
Kynlee- thank you.. No more worries on that but I did stock up on gatorade!! Thx
Globetrotter- I teand to have lots of eggs & the quality has been good but not strong as this new doctor put it. He's now making them strong so they can implant.
Thank you all again !! Tonight is round 8!! Good luck to you all!, :D
Good Luck to ALL!

Gina- have you thought about taking something for the anxiety? I used to get so anxious if I knew I was going to be around new people, or in new places - I used to puke before I would meet people (the first day of the new semester, a new doctor, a new roommate, etc). I started taking anti-depressants for depression and it totally helps my anxiety. I used to be so anxious before traveling, that I thought I just didn't like to travel. But now that the anxiety is under control a little bit, I LOVE travelling.

Christy - wow, I guess I got cut off mid-sentence! What I was saying is that at every new work place (and there have been 2 new jobs in the last 6 months), whenever I say that it's for fertility treamtments (which I have to say because here in Israel, time off for fertility treatments is paid, as opposed to regular sick days which are only 50% paid), I find that SOMEONE in the office has also done some kind of treatment. Now, the woman I work with has 13yo twins from an IUI and a 7yo from IVF. So when I need time off, or to come in late, she totally understands (and so does everyone else, who remembers her doing the treatments years ago... yup, they've almost all been here 10+ years, I'm really the newbie!)

btw - I love that we live in a place that people would come to visit anyways - because we get to see people who we wouldn't see if we lived in a more 'out of the way' place. Maybe your mom WANTS to come for spring break? Lots of cute boys in bathing suits! :D

Kynlee - we watched "The Grey" - super scary, but I love Liam Neeson! :D Basketball (watching) sounds like fun!

Greek Chick - Antonia isn't cycling so much these days, so she isn't around as much as she used to be (which is totally fine and normal, if you are reading this Antonia!) If you want to get in touch with her, we are friends on facebook. I can PM you her name so you can find her! Are you cycling again soon?

Cyn - I guess you are doing an antagonist cycle - adding the Ganirelix is totally normal at this stage. I usually start it from day 5-6 of stims.

Globetrotter - my DH is originally from NoCal (San Jose and Palo Alto) and he can't believe I've never been to California. He says that NoCal is the best place in the world to live, and we would live there if we weren't religious Jews living in Jerusalem Israel :D Congrats on your first shot! It's not so bad, is it?

Julia - good luck at ER today! I hope all your eggs make great embryos!

Maria - wow! That ship makes our little Norwegian Jade look like a peanut! There were balconies facing the courtyard, instead of the ocean? weird. Looks like y'all had fun! I'm so glad to know the twins are doing well -- any early sex guesses?

Patricia - my appetite goes all wacky during a stim cycle. good luck with your SnS today!

BabySoft - welcome. I lost boy/girl twins at 22 weeks (pPROM) and twin boys in the NICU who were born at only 24 wks. So hard to get soooooo close and then come home without a baby. I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck with your new cycle. When is your beta? are you going to take home pregnancy tests before?

AFM - well, this organization that I've mentioned that does all kinds of things for women doing IVF (subsidized therapy, subsidized massages, etc) has a personal trainer that you can meet 6 times (30min sessions). I met with her this morning (at 6am! The only time we could meet was before work!) Because I'm with this org, I also get a month free membership at a certain gym.

The session went great. She didn't tell me anything I didn't know - cut out white sugar/flour, aerobic exercise - but I think it'll help a lot to have someone pushing me. I promised to go to the gym for the 30min workout she prescribed at least 4 times before we meet again next Tuesday, and keep a food journal.

This is really important, not only for my weight (over 200lbs! gulp!) but also for my overall health. Becuase of the PCO, I'm insulin resistant (or the other way around, they dont' know which causes which!) which makes me high risk for developing diabetes (it doesn't help that 2 grandparents developed diabetes). I'm also just sick of schlepping my fat self around. When I weight 170, I was comfortable. I was fat, but I could move easily and never felt strained. Now, at 210, I just feel like I'm dragging my butt around. I don't need to get thin, I need to get in shape.

Morning ladies

Just a really quick post before I go to the scan.

Gina - I'm so sorry, I totally forgot you in my post and I'm really sorry because you had a terrible day yesterday. As for pain being part of growing up - oh thats awful! I really hope your poor son feels better and gets the treatment he needs and that your stress levels go down a little.

Babysoft: Welcome to the board. Really sorry to hear about your loss at 26 weeks - that must have been devestating, really awful. Looking forward to getting to know you and good luck with this cycle.

Leora: Oh good luck in the gym - with 4 times a week and a journal I know the weight will come off. I know the PCOS is a nuisance with weight loss but I hope the training goes really well.

Cyn22: Brilliant news at the doctor!

See you all later!

Thanks for the welcome Ladies :-)

Leora - my first beta is on 4/29! I'm most definitely going to test prior to beta....I'm probably going to become an hpt frequent buyer before this is over :-/ I did think about waiting until beta but I'd go mad waiting on the phone call. Okay so I need someone to tell me if I'm overreacting....today right before ET when we were viewing our eggs and signing consents my Dr told DH and I that we have a 70% percent chance of pregnancy and 65% of twins....I was livid :-( upset because I saw how excited it made DH which makes me super worried about disappointing him! In addition to that I feel like from all that I've read those percentages are far too high and unrealistic! I'm very positive about this ivf I always have been even when I got preggors naturally the Dr had told me...no way you need donor eggs! When I had my first u/s dr said I must admit you knew you'd be pregnant and I firm believe you willed yourself this pregnancy. I just don't want to let DH down...okay vent over!!

Ninde - I hope your scan went well!!

Patricia - I'm not sure. I've never followed my follicle growth, just trusted the doctors. What day of stims is this?

Babysoft - so.... when does the POAS start? I didn't POAS my first cycle, but I have every time since. I see the advantage of not POAS (no agonizing of the results) but I can't stand the wait! I buy cheapie internet tests and take them all the time! :D Those percentages sound really high. I was told that with my history (which is GOOD from an IVF standpoint -- 4 out of 7 cycles, I've gotten pregnant and two of those pregnancies have been viable and twins), and the fact that I'm doing eSET gives me about 25-30% chance each time (which sucks considering how much effort we put into this). Don't worry about 'disappointing' your husband, I'm sure he understands that this is totally out of your control. Our issue is mostly male factor, and my DH is constantly saying how guilty he feels. I keep telling him that this is US trying to have OUR baby -- we fail or succeed together.

AFM - if anyone is interested - here are the pictures from our work trip. The guy who took them is an amateur photographer. I'm wearing a bright pink shirt (and look awful! Sheesh, I really need to lose weight. I don't necessarily see it in the mirror, but I see it in pictures!)

Hi there

Leora: I've had 6 stimming injections so tonight will be my 7th. I did ask my nurse if its ok to continue and she said absolutely they would just like to see them a little bigger. So they took blood to check my estrogen - they will call this evening if I need to up my dosage. Im on 300mg of Puregon which isn't huge so they may up them. I'm also having more accupuncture tomorrow and I'll try and rest more - apparently rest helps them grow. Will you stop being so hard on yourself about the photos!! Is your hair that naturally curly - its lovely.

BabySoft: You are perfectly allowed to vent! i'm not sure how old you are and I know that age changes the percentages but to be honest 70% and 65% are very high - having said that maybe its worth checking out what your doctor meant in terms of how he can say that? As Leora said, don't worry about disappointing your husband - this isn't all on you! There are two of you involved and one can't do this without the other - so its a mutual thing :)

Thanks ladies for listening to me :-). I'm feeling a lot better this morning as far as nerves go! Not sure when I'll start testing kinda wanted to know when I should after a 5 day transfer. I was thinking maybe the night before beta ..... But the days seem so LONG

Ninde - what stim dosage are you taking? I have high fsh so I may not be a good gauge but my sizes were similar to yours up until day 7. They up my dose and I stimmed for 4 more days. I had to keep taking ganerelix (sp) so I wouldn't ovulate. How many days do u have left to stim?

Ok ladies another question ....did anyone stay on bed rest after ET? My dr didn't tell me I needed to but I've read it on the boards and have been stuck in the bed since yesterday!

I just want to wish tons of sticky baby dust to all the 2ww'ers! And tons of positive energy to the stimmers and the ladies waiting!!
