Hi ladies and thank you for the big welcome. I look forward to getting to know you all through our journey.

Ijust returned from my Baseline US and first E2. Dr said my US was perfect and my E2 is 25 so I am to proceed with my protocol.

This is such an exciting time I just wish there was some magic to make my DH feel better and know that with ICSI they dont need 50 million swimmers just a few Jr's will do the trick.

Good luck to all this week with your appts and Beta numbers. My prayers are with us all.

Hello Ladies, I would love to join this thread.. Me and my DH have been trying to conceive for over 3 years and it has truly been a struggle. On Saturday, August 2nd we had or ER. Went in with 13 follicles, came out with only 6 eggs. I was very down and out with the numbers. The RE had a talk with me and uplifted my spirits reminding me that it only takes one. The next day, I found out that 5 were mature and all of them fertilized... That really helped me make it through the following days. My ET was scheduled this morning at 10, I received a phone call at 7:15 that all embies were doing great and they wanted to extend cuture until Thursday for a 5DT. I was truly shocked, especially only having 5 eggs. We have just been very prayerful and hoping this is our month. My appt thurs is at 11:30 so I am looking forward to it , not so much looking forward to the dreaded 2WW..

I look forward to sharing this journey with each of you.. Let's stay hopeful and get our BFP's this month!!!!

Hello all, Just want to join this thread as I'm completely NEW to this. We had 3 failed IUI and now we are trying IVF for the first time. Very nervous.. so much unknown...
I'd appreciate any tips on dealing w/ needles and in general how to cope..
My 21 st day, I'll be starting Lupron.. so transfer will be around labor day...

Kas - I have to wait till AF then on the 2nd or 3rd day I will go in for u/s and b/w. If everything is good (please god let them be good) then I will start stims that day. So i think i should be on them by Monday but it all depends on AF.

TrueBeliever - Congrats on your fert report, 5 is a good number and they must be looking good if your RE is letting you go to a 5 day transfer.

Good luck to both of you. I would also be really nervous also.

Has anyone listened to the Dixie Chicks song "So Hard"? It is about there journey with IVF. I just downloaded it from itunes. And I guess my hormones are really wacked today because I am balling my eyes out. Also everything my DH has said to me today has gotten on my nerves so i really do think it is the BCP's messing me up. O'well I think I am just going to end this day and go to bed with a good book.

Val - how are you doing? Have you started your injections yet? I am hiding mine also from my children. They are in the bottom of my refrig. in a tupperware box(LOL).

Hope I didn't leave anyone out. If so, i am truely sorry. I am not good at listing everyones names.

As for me, I will take my last BCP on Wednesday. I have to go in on Friday for my yearly physical becuase it has been over a year since I had one (5-08 ). Then I will go back in on Monday for my baseline and b/w. Praying i will get to start my stims that day!! For thise of you that have taken BCP, after you stop, how long is it that AF comes? It has been 16 yrs. since I have taken BCP.

I'm a bit shattered today. V hard to keep pma! I've had 8hr round trip fr u/s. I have useless right ovary - only 1 follie, but left one has 10. Size ranges from one littily .8 to 1.8. They are thinking to ER on Saturday which is 9th August. Half of me thinks its not bad for my age, the other half is shattered.... I guess this stage of IVF until the end of the 2ww is the hardest emotionally.

Tahnks so much for the encouragement ladies... Yes the embies seem to be stickingin there pretty well for them to make it to day 5. I am so excited and ready for tomorrow to come. My Beta is scheduled for the 18th, doesn't seem so far away but I am sure that will change AFTER tomm..

Biddy you are doing well to have 11 follies so far. Do not give up hope, you only need ONE for a pregnancy...

Mugsey24 when I completed the cycle of BC it only took my cycle 4 days to come on.. So not much waiting at all.

Biddy I know it's hard, but you got to find it in you to keep up that PMA. I had extreme dissappointments throughout my cycle too, but it worked out way better than the RE's even expected. You are doing very well with 10 follies....but I know it is frustrating when only one ovary produces, I had the same experience. There are quite a few of us on this board only working with one!

As for me.....I'm going coo coo wondering how my little embies are doing inside me! The nurse at my clinic said they implant on day 5, but the RE at another clinic said day 5-6 after transfer (which would be day 8-9). I'm confused about this and would appreciate any input you guys might have.
