Hi everyone

Sher, Susie and little P - Although at the moment im not too bad with feeling tired, Im constantly getting up in the night to use the loo, so Im sure its all going to catch up with me. (As Im sure needing the loo will get even worse, so im going to soon be up all night anyway!).

Smita - My baby seems to have become a lot more active with kicks etc in the last couple of weeks, so Im sure once yours starts there will be no stopping him or her!

Jessica - Im so glad you had a beautiful day for your son. Take care of yourselves.

Ive got next week off work. Not much time to rest though! Having the nursery carpet fitted, gas appliances checked, doors fitted. Was even hoping to get my new bathroom suite in (which is been delivered today) but I dont think the plumber can do it this week now. (Which is probably a good thing with all that it going on!). Im just so impatient to get everything done now! My NCT antenatal classes are sorted now. Starting next Tuesday and for the next 8 weeks.

Take care everyone and enjoy your weekends.
Love Kim

Hi all,
quiet here!

I'm doing fine, getting stronger taps and what i imagine to be kicks- not sure if they are kicks yet..
Kim,
sounds like you're going to have a busy week instead of a quiet one off from work-have fun in your antenatal classes!

Sher, LittleP and Susie,
I seem to have trouble sleeping once i'm up for a trip to the loo too, but as I dont work, its easy to take a nap in later in the day..

Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Hi all, I too have many night time visits to loo - very exhausting. I'm not working at moment but can't seem to catch up on sleep in day because I feel so busy tidying, sorting, organising the house. Suddenly Christmas is coming fast and time is flying. Will find out sex week on Thurs so I'm starting to get really excited - just wish I could feel some kicks but I guess it's far too early!

Jessica - my thoughts were also with you and DH on Thursday, I'm so glad the weather was beautiful - it was here too - must be a sign of a very special day in heaven - a very special little angel. It sounds like you'll be really appreciated by the hope group - good luck with your work there, I'm sure you're goiing to make a huge difference to others' lives. It's lovely that you still come on here,

I've just been reading back old posts and realised I'd missed a few messages earlier - thanks Lil P and Smita for your kind thoughts about my nan. She's physically okay now after a bad fall but unfortunately seems to have 'lost' the last 40-50 years in terms of memory - she's convinced that we're in the 1940s and she has to go to work etc - she doesn;'t recognise me or my cousins and struggles to do anything because she can't remember from one minute to the next so she forgets to eat, drink etc. She is in hospital so she is being cared for but its very basic and functional and she doesn't get any company really - no-one sits and talks to her or helps her eat etc so its important that I can get down when I can. I've taken on board your comments about wearing myself out though and I'm goiing to take it a bit more easy now as mum is back from hols so we're sharing the visits. Thanks for asking, hopefully it's an improvable condition but the next few weeks will tell us - hope everyone's doiing really well and enjoying those little bump kicks!!

Big hugs to you all

Sorry, not been here for a couple of days - we have a house full and it's a bit difficult finding time to get away for a few moments here.

Hope you are all taking care of yourselves.

Little One is active quite often now - it's wonderful :D

hi to all of you. once again huge apologies for not posting for an age. we are still back at my parents' house and access to computers is not as easy as it once was. coupled with having returned to work after my career break (only for 3 weeks!) has left me utterly exhausted. they have been very generous though and through just working for three weeks, they have ensured that i can now go immediately onto maternity leave. i am really very lucky.

i have followed all of your progress as much as i can. my thoughts are so with you Jessica and I pray that you will continue to find the courage you are showing now and also hope you feel your gorgeous son's presence around you whenever you need him. please use us all to gather whatever support you can....

in many ways i am feeling fine, albeit a bit achey and tired. like the rest of you, i am in and out of the loo during the night which is a pain. as you said Kim, this little tiger has become so much more active over the last couple of weeks and the kicks are incredibly strong. the freakiest feeling is when the baby shifts its whole position! the sickness is till far from over. although much better, I am still vomitting at least once a week. my final day at work proved the most humiliating moment of the whole pregnancy.. while travelling in by train, i ended up throwing up over the wall of the train in front of the whole carriage. poor people. i just sank to my knees in shame and jumped off at the next station!! i really do struggle with the joy i feel at having managed to get pregnant in the end, with the unhappiness I have actually felt through feeling so ill. i truly am grateful but i've never felt so ill for so long in my life... must be a real fighter in there!!

next week will see us travel to Cambridge to try and find somewhere to rent until we find a house we want to buy. it will be amazing to get somewhere of our own again in time for the baby. we have now chosen the buggy, cot, car seat etc etc etc. that was very exciting and makes it seem all the more real. i guess we need to nest now... my husband wont be working from the end of december until mid feb, so we will all have a chance to become a family together. it will be so great.

will hopefully get a chance to be more personal next time. it is just too daunting this first time after the weeks off i've had. anyway, love to each and everyone of you.

Minnow,
Sounds like you are struggling with the sickness- maybe the third tri will be better? Its lovely to hear you haven't got a boss who's insensitive, so enjoy your maternity leave.

LittleP,
I was wondering where you were since there'd been no posts from you. Hope you had a lovely weekend with family/friends!

Cheryl,
Does your nan have Alzheimers? It can be very exhausting.. for the patient and for their loved ones- you take care of yourself. And wish you lots of luck for your scan!
I felt little taps and flutters only in my 19th week and even now, they're not full on kicks- so you can expect them anytime next week on or so.. :D

Jessica,
I'm sending more strength to you and hope that your hope group can provide as much supprt as you need.

Have a nice day everyone!!

Smita

Thanks - we had a lovely time - it was great having the company and an extra pair of hands around. It was good for DH to have a couple of drinking buddies as well

Minnow

Good to see you back - I am so sorry that you are still suffering. Take care of yourself and enjoy your maternity leave.

Hope you are all taking care and looking after yourselves.

Hi all

Just thought I would let you know - I saw my GP this morning to have my proper check-up and my measurements, blood pressure, etc were all fine and then he let DH and me listen in to Little One beating away.

It was a lovely start to the week. Little One's heartbeat was so quick up in the 160s :D

Anyway, sorry for the "ME, ME" post but I just wanted to update.

Take care all

Love and hugs

Hi all - lovely to hear about scans etc. Good to hear from you Minnow - so sorry to hear you're still suffering, still it'll all be worth it in the end. Smita - Nan didn't have alzhemers (I can't spell it!) at least she hasn't had in the past - she has always been 110% mind / brain wise which makes it so bizarre to suddenly have 'gone'. The doctors can't explain it at the moment - most conditions like senility or alzhemers? seem to come on gradually and progress and they usually show up on a CT scan but with Nan it was sudden and CT scan is clear so it's all a bit of a mystery really. Hopefully we should know something soon. How are you anyway - when do you see DH again? It must be so hard being apart but makes the together time even more precious. Me and DH are often home together but with me watching TV and him on the computer next door - hardly quality time! We ought to make the most of it really.
How is everyone else? How was your houseful Lil P? Did you have a good time or was it quite exhausting? What about you Jacs? Did you say you're having a 20 week scan? If so, that should be coming up soon. Are you getting any movements yet? I've had a few weird bubbly tummy feelings but that could be wind so who knows!! Kim - are you still goiing to visit on here now you're properly 3rd trimester? Hope so, I want to hear all your news as you approach the big day. Hi to everyone else - as Lil P says 'What's everyone been up to?'
(P.S Where are you Olivia - you've gone very quiet? Hope all is brill for you)

Hi Cheryl

Good to hear from you - sounds like you are doing ok and hopefully getting some well earned rest.

My w/e was great, but yes it was exhausting - silly really as I didn't do much, but it was 3 late nights in a row and now I'm going to need to do some serious sleeping to make up for it. Where has my energy gone? I feel really zapped at the moment and very emotional.

I had my hair cut yesterday - tell me, why is it it always looks great when you leave the salon, then when you try and re-create it the next day you are a prime candidate for a "bad hair day!!!"?

Are you having a 20 weeks scan too?

Hope you are all taking care of yourselves.
