NY4thtry: I'm so very sorry to here your news. I know how you feel, as it took DH a long time to conceive our DS. I kept seeing others pregnant around me, and thought why not me. We finally decided to quit the infertility treatments and adopt from China. That is when I got pregnant, naturally. We are still in line to adopt from China and it should be 1-1.5 more years with the slowdown in Chinese adoptions. If I cannot conceive again, that is the route that we will take. Take care of yourself.

AKMom (Cougar Kat): Welcome to our site! I love Hawaii too. Maybe we should have an "Over 40's" retreat to Hawaii. DH and I got married on Maui in 11/04.

Natasha: Great news!!!!! Congrats on your BFP!!

Kelly: The watch is working fine. I was beginning to wonder about it but finally got my "Fertile Day 1" reading on the watch this morning. I will be checking with the pee stick too and will let you know how they coincide with ovulation. I am still drinking coffee but should back off now right?
I guess that decaf is ok?? I try to only have 1 -2 cups a day and DH uses 1/2 decaf/1/2 caff.

Renee: Our Florida trip is approaching. DH bought a new umbrella stroller for Andrew. Now DS has 4 strollers! I really need a break from this snow!

Hil: How are you doing?

Sis1: I will try to refrain from drinking coffee. I would much rather have my coffee than wine!

reread what i wrote.. i NEVER said you made ghost disappear.. but that is was this kind of insensitivity that made him disappear..

if you had posted on the wrong thread then it might have been nice of you to just simply apologize.. as the other girls know i have been through a lot and yesterday was a particularly hard day for me.. the fact that you chose to attack me instead of simply apologizing says a lot about you..

in addition.. i congratulated you on your BFP as i would anyone on this board... so the fact that you imply i am hurt by or jealous of your BFP is ridiculious

So ladies i love you all and i will keep an eye on your progress and perhaps PM you (thanks to all of you who sent me lovely supportive PMs) but i may not post for awhile... this thing with Natasha has left a very bad tast in my mouth...

I had a loss too a year ago and know exactly what you`re going trough but was always so happy for the ones that had pos`.

Lastely,I did say it was with egg donor so I would appreciate if all the ** will stop once and for all.

I have to admit that i am the one that brought up DE. I do stand by what i said on that because by not disclosing it when you post about your success it gives other women false hope. I can see 46.6 women seeing that then running to a RE to do ivf with their own eggs. Something that would be very expensive and painful when it failed.

I also think that we should let it go. This is a fairly small board. It is usually full of support. I have never seen any negative posting up until now. I think is just a hiccup of sorts and none of us what it to become a common place occurrence. So we should let it go.

NY, i am sorry that you are in a very bad place right now.

I had my pre-ultrasound for a supression check, got the "go" everything looks good, start my stims Wednesday...pray pray pray this one works. And waiting for your BFP!

Hey There Ladies....

come out come out wherever you are....I hate to see this board so quiet..Since I am new to this IVF process and thread (any thread for that matter), I have been inspired and educated. I am hoping the "hiccup" is cured and everyone gets back to chatting. :0)

Where does everyone get their meds? I am with IVPCare my RE recommended them. I do not know what ‘factory’ is better or not and/or why. Our insurance does not pay for any infertility treatments, that is okay, thankfully we have been able to pay cash thus far, I am hoping that we wont be spending gobs and gobs, but at the same time the desire for a child of our own is pretty strong, and my clock is booming. I have visited other boards and have read some inspiring success stories, so my fingers are crossed for all of us over 40. Ya know, I never thought 40 was old, until now, I guess, I'm not old--just my eggs are.

I will stay positive, and pray more, learn more and pray even more. Good luck Ladies!

Kat: That is great news that you received the green light to go for this cycle. I used an online drug company called freedom drugs. There were cheaper than the local pharmacy and delivered overnight right to my door.

I just made an appt. to have a consult with my OB/GYN in a couple of weeks. I'm using the OV fertility monitor watch this cycle, but am considering doing a few rounds of clomid. Does anyone have any experience with it? I do not want to do any more injectible meds, as I've had enough of them. I may have to go to plan B - adoption, if I want to have a sibling for our DS.

Yes, after 2 IUI's and 2 IVF's I got pregnant naturally with my DS while waiting to do a frozen cycle.

Hiya Ladies~

AKmom~I am so glad you got the thumbs up and you will start stimming soon! It will be nice to have a buddy. Did you stim quickly or more slowly in the past? I am hoping for more slowly this time as I went too quickly last time--the Doc says my eggs will be better if they develop longer (but not too long!) In New Zealand we get our drugs from our clinic.

I am on day two of stims and already feeling my ovaries working! The drugs are making me cranky and sleepy. I just hope my eggs are growing strong this time. Since I am a low responder--I don't get very many eggs. But Im hoping maybe the Chinese herbs Ive been taking for 3 months will change that. My belly is also starting to puff out--bummer after all the working out I've been doing. I really dont want to get fat--unless of course I get pregnant! Then it's ok

I've quit the coffee--thank you all for the good advice. I think I may conitue to have a glass of wine here and there during stims--just to help with my stress levels.

Do you ladies think it is ok to continue working out while on stims? But probably not a good idea in the 2ww? I also heard that one should not sunbath during the 2ww cause it increases your body temperature which could be bad for the embies? It is summertime here--just wondering if I can still hang out at the beach once I've got my embies on board!

Hi There Ladies

[/b]SuezQ- I have only had one IVF cycle and it was canx. I am what they consider to be a "high responder" The put me on the Micro-Flare protocol. On day 8 (I think) my blood estradol level was 3200 and they counted 40+ follies..so they coasted me. After three days of coasting, my e-levels were climbing but started to plateau at around 7200. It was so uncomfortable. I was bloated, I gained 7 lbs in three days...I drank Gatorade like crazy and tons of H2O, I could float a river, I swear, and get this....all the while I was still taking my BCP's (I didn’t know I was supposed to stop... ) So since I HS'd they were concerned about the egg quality (I think), and didn’t want to risk putting me into full blown OHSS…so I was cancelled. it has taken a while to feel better. The wt hasn’t ALL come off, (only 10 lbs), but it was miserable. Because of my response they put me on the long lupron protocol, I hope this works for you me and you. Glad we are doing this together...

I stopped drinking coffee too. I do, however, need to drink more water. I have read that exercises doesn’t effect you until you are close to ER and ET, something to do with the uterus (lining) and implantation of the embryos and their ability to “stick-n-stay” has anyone else read/heard the same?

Aloha Renee…being a single mom is taxing. (hugs) My “practice husband” was a M. Corps Officer and he deployed a lot. I am sure the war is making it even harder to keep your soldier at home. Sorry. Thank God for bed time…only to wake up and start all over again Be sure to take it slow, I understand that ‘rest’ is a critical element in the is TTC process.
