Anyone cycling July/August 09?

I did MICRO IVF at the Sher Institute in Las Vegas, and we only retrieved on follicle measuring 21mm. However the little egg was mature and we transferred it back on day 3 yesterday and the egg was grade 1 and 8 cells. It scored 75 out of 100. We were very pleased. My doctor is actually doing our first beta on 8/4 which is 11dp3dt. I think that is how you say it. I will be 11days post ovulation(egg retrieval) and 8 days post transfer.

Jamie- 11dp3dt (11 days past 3 days transfer) would be 14dpo (14 days past ovulation). Your egg retrieval is the day of ovulation. So the amount of days past your transfer, plus the number of day between retrieval and transfer equals the numbers of days past ovulation, I hope that makes sense.

And congrats on what sounds like an awesome little embie!

penny- I get tired from lupron too, or maybe from all of the running around I do, but I tend to feel more tired when I am on the lupron. Maybe its a combination with the heat too, sometimes I just feel like I can't even keep my eyes open.

dogz and beth- Good luck tomorrow, just one more day! I can not believe neither one of you has cracked and done an hpt! Good for you both!

babies- my RE told me that some embies need the best incubator- YOU! One of the times I questioned him about 3day vs 5day transfers, he told me he has had lots of ladies who never get pregnant with blasts on a 5 day, but those same ladies when transferred on day 3 had success.

butterfly- yay for ER, and enjoy your shot free day! And you are right about the lesson in timing. Way back before I started my first ivf, I thought I had everything planned and scheduled, I would say, well if we go to the dr this month, then we will transfer at this time, and have the baby at this time and then...blah blah blah, I have since learned after many delays, that it is not up to me, and everything else falls into place around it. I don't care what time of year I have the baby, or when I might be able to go back to work, or if I can get a babysitter on the days I need to go to the dr, none of it matters...it will all work out for the best.

nothing new for me. I took my last bcp sunday night, still on lupron, supression check on thrusday and if all is well, I hope to be starting the estrogen pills on friday, just keep me in your prayers ladies, like I said, I am hoping for the best but I always expect the worst, just in case.

I had my ER yesterday ...13 mature eggs retrieved with 10 fertilised

Have period like pains today but hopefully thats normal. Michele can you add me to your list please?

I would need to go back thru all the messages to address each of you personally but for the moment, good luck to Beth and Dogzrule tomorrow! I can't believe you haven't tested early! To everyone else I hope to catch up soon

I am on day 10 of Lupron. This is my first IVF. I tried 7 IUI's. I go Thursday for my baseline and start the major meds. Sorry, I don't know all the proper lingo yet.
I've been wondering if there was something neurologically wrong with me because I was making many crazy mistakes. I even lost the envelope with the money I withdrew form the bank this week. But I did a little research and am glad to see it is just the meds. I am recognizing I just need to take things slow and think through it all before I act. My DH is being very supportive and understanding of my goofy thinking. He claims he doesn't care about the lost money. But I do. I even dug through moldy garbage looking for it, but no luck

I am hoping for ER on the 11th of August. That is my week of vacation and I am going to relax all week.

To all my other cycle buddies...I have been reading all your posts and keeping you in my prayers. Baby Dust to all!!!

AHHHHH!!! I had my cycle day 3 blood wk and missed the call back w/ results, the nurse called at 3:48 and i called her back 5 min later, they close at 4- she just said that she got my results and has my directions but didnt leave them on the message!!! Now I don't know what to do!

Good gravy!! Do you all ever stop typing? I've only been away for 1 day and theres like 2 more pages!!

I had an all day affair for a 15 minute baseline appt. first was a closed road (20 min added w/ detour) then all appts. were backed up b/c my RE can be chatty. Then the nurse asked if the girl having a mock transfer & dying from the FULL bladder can go ahead of me -How could I say no? unfortunately, I didnt realize that the RE was also doing a consult w/ her so I sat there for 1 hr 15 min. waiting!! What fun

On a high note though - the nurse that mislabeled my b/w last month & probably caused me to get cancelled WILL BE ON VACATION !!! for the whole cycle!!!! I'm real happy about that .... Now moving on to feeling like I'm writing a book

michele - 11 month old + job + errands + lupron + heat = exhausted!!! I'll keep up the low E2 dance for you!!

penny - yes, at times the stims make you feel tired, or moody, sometimes really hungry. But totally worth a BFP!!!

babies - wishing you lots of STICKY thoughts!!

lw - YAY! you are PUPO!!

amanda - Welcome! My clinic insists on NO sex from the trigger til after the beta. SO fun, huh?

faith - YES! bumped up by 2 days means 2 days closer!!

sunny - I'm 40 too. - 3 eggies is just fine, cant wait to hear the fert report tomorrow. Dont stress, please!

johannanita - yes, I'm considered a poor responder too, but keep in mind that every cycle is different. You may get a lot more this time, I'm sure hoping that I do!

Hi ladies-

One more day to go - I think tomorrow will be the worst, because I have to go to the lab for the blood draw at 8am and then won't hear from my clinic until the afternoon. I'm shocked I haven't done an HPT yet, too, but I just decided the anxiety wasn't worth it. I'll know tomorrow for better or worse. I'm feeling kind of PMS-ish bloated and crampy, but otherwise nothing special, so it can go either way.

Dogz - I'll be thinking of you, and wishing you luck as well!

katie99- YEY! that nurse won't be around....sounds good. i was thrilled my nurse changed, it made all the difference! thank you so much for the PMA, i really need it! many tears were shed today.for the first time i felt like i was totally out of control. i am never pessimistic, but today felt like an all time low. i am just saying prayers and waiting for tomorrow morning!

Thanks so much to all of you for your wonderful wishes and prayers for tomorrow. I've been distracted for most of the day but did have a short moment of utter anxiety. What if it's a BFN, ya know? BUT I shook off the negative quickly!!!

beth - I totally agree. Tomorrow's going to be the worst. My appt is at 9:10, then the wait. Then the UTTER PANIC when I see the doctor on my caller ID. Oy! Still practicing my BFP convo! YAY for us not taking an HPT!

doglover - welcome and LOVE YOUR NAME HERE!!!

lisa - the meds will make you crazy, but hang in there!

katie - YAY for you that that one nurse will be gone the whole time!

AFM - I have a yeast infection from the doxycycline and am not allowed to treat it internally. I can only use the external cream. How much does that suck?
