Hi Pauline and LittleP again!

Pauline they check my levels by doing a blood test to see what my levels are. If you get lots of follies your hormone (estradile) levels go too high and so when you do the trigger shot before EC you become a risk of getting OHSS. I always end up having bloods done everyday in the second week of stimming. It's a pain in the bum as it takes me and hour to get to the hospital and and hour to get home and the wait for blood tests at my hospital can be rediculous (I had to wait 2 hours yesterday!!!  ) so I get really fed up but they do it for my own good. I'd hate to get OHSS again.

Hope your scan on Friday goes well. Have you had a scan already?

:D x

Good Luck for Friday Nicki!

I'm being scanned on Friday to see how many follies I have - right now, it feels like a million

I hate not knowing what's going on down there.

Supposed to have EC on Monday so fingers crossed it will work out.

Power to the May Flower and let's hope Friday the 13th is a Good One!!!

Hi

Emptybelly - I had my first scan yesterday and it showed 11 follies - I'm thrilled as on my first cycle I only had 2.

Nicki & Alison - good luck for Friday. I'll be thinking of you as I'm having a scan too. One more day to go, can't wait!

Nicki, Alison and Pauline, good luck for tomorrow. lets hope it's good news all round. and how is everyone else doing out there??

I hate to admit it but I am BORED RIGID!!! I have been downregging since day 21 of my cycle and it is now day 31 and AF hasnt appeared yet. last time it came on day 28 and i was hoping for the same again. i just want to start stimming now so that i can feel things are moving forward. i know you cant rush things but i'm now anxious about a trip to ireland from may 27th-30th. i had hoped little embies might be tucked up safely in me by then but now it's looking tight. it's dh's 40th so it will be a bit tricky to explain if we dont make it over to the party!! how long did everyone else downreg for??

Minnow

I'm just about to start sniffing for the first time on Monday so I can't help I'm afraid (always had Buserelin injections before)!, but I just wanted to send you hugs and PMA.

Big shouts to AF - "Get a move on, now would be a good time to show yourself :!: " :D

Hope things happen soon for you so you can move onto the next stage.

I was on burserelin to down reg for 18 days! I was going mental, but I'm on 2ww now so its all OK in the end.
I know its hard but try to relax, you're body knows that for once you want AF to come so its awkward on purpose!
Little P
Good luck for Monday, I've never done sniffing, only injections, so cant give you any advice but hope you go OK
Thinking of you all

Minnow,

My AF didn't arrive until the third week of down-regulation. I started to panic but then it eventually arrived :D

I am impatient too! I can't wait to see what the follie fairy has helped me to produce.

I'm very excited and scared about next week (EC and ET)

I'm permantly glued to this message board reading everyone's progress - I don't want to miss a thing!

Good luck with the EC - I am sure it will be fine and that the follie fairy has been working overtime.

I have to be the most impatient person ever, but IVF has certainly taught me a lot about having to wait for things in life :?

PMA to you all

Minnow - On each cycle the Buserelin has made AF about 3 days late, so on each occassion have dowregged for about 11 days 'til AF appeared. It goes without saying that the more you worry, the longer it'll take - but there's no getting round that. Hope it comes along soon and you can move on ..

Hi Everyone

Sorry but have to rant!

One of the managers here at work just came up behind me and poked me in each side - (you know, like when people creep up on you & poke you to see if you react) - well now my sides are aching a wee bit. I know he won't have done any 'damage' but that doesn't stop me fretting. I've told him if he comes near me again I'll thump him. I'm so thankful that I've taken the 2ww off, if he had done it during a 2ww I'm sure I would have killed him.

Minnow, hope it isn't long now until AF arrives. This time round I'd been sniffing for 25 days until I started injections.

LittleP, good luck form Monday.

Hope everyone else is going good.

Pauline
