Hi everyone

Danica: Thankyou for asking the scan went well and it appears the twins are quite close in size (3kg). But because of all the different growth messurments they have diceded to section me at 37 weeks instead of 38 + 4. I have been hoping to go into labour now that i am 36 weeks but now i want the babies to cook for another week! I am scared they might still need some special care nursing so i hope its the right thing to bring them early, I want to get out of the hospital as soon as possible.

I hope everyone else is well and excitedly awaiting news from Jacs and CC

Hi all - glad to hear everyone's doiing well apart from odd aches and pains.

Jaymee - scan sounds great and I'm glad the babys are similar size - really good sign and they're so well developed now, they should be fine - you've done really well, stop worrying! (easier said than done I know)

Danica - just to warn you that 4d doesn't work for everyone - my baby was in wrong position (head facing placenta and buried into my hip) so all we ever saw was some weird clown images that didn't really resemble a baby! I only warn you incase you have any worries about spending the money - our clinic repeated procedure on 3 occasions (2nd two free of charge-might be worth checking this at your place) but no luck - we didn't even get one decent picture! It didn't really matter in the end cos we still got to check measurements etc and see lil one bouncing about but just thought I'd warn you cos we just assumed we'd get a gorgeous look at our baby and we were so disappointed at first. Anyway, I'm sure your luck will be better than ours (we're not known for our good luck) and I hope you really enjoy it if you do go ahead.

Love to everyone else - hope we all get our little darlings soon

Hi girls,
Got my pc problems sorted now, no more viruses or annoying pop ups, woohoo.

Just back from my 34wk check up, all is fine with me and baby, i did mention i have been getting quite a few headaches and even though my BP is fine the midwife wants to see me again next week instead of in a fortnight just to check all is ok.

My parentcraft class on Monday was about all the stages of labour, sounds really scarey and i've changed my mind ... this little un is gonna have to stay put now, lol.

Only 2.5 wks of work left now and my area manager won't let me have the 2wks hols i wanted, i'm only allowed to have 1 week, which will be next week then back to work for a week and then that's it, my leave starts, woohoo, can't wait. My midwife was quite impressed today that i'm working on as late especially seeing as i have to get the bus to and from work which takes about an hour each way.

Don't know about anyone else but i find it hard to believe that in a matter of weeks (days for some) we will all have our little babies here with us. We have just been a couple for so long and pretty soon we will be a family. One minute i'm dead excited and can't wait to meet our little daughter (sounds strange saying our daughter) the next i'm so scared, being responsible for a tiny little person, wondering how i will cope etc. Is anyone else feeling like this or is it just me?

Thought i'd be brave and finally try to do myself a ticker, i copied the BBCode into my signature box and clicked on save but all i got was a message saying signature is too long. Have i done something wrong?

I see Cheryl is still posting today so lil CC is still not here, any news on Jacs yet? Wishing you both the best of luck for a smoothe delivery, won't be long now til you have your little un's in your arms.
Hope everyone else is keeping well.
Take care all.
Lotsa love

wow, nobodys posted on here for a week - everyones having babies lol!
ur rite michelle, it is hard to believe that we'll be holding our babies in our arms soon - its very exciting, i cant wait!! the baby's moving around heaps or maybe i can just feel it more coz there isnt that much room in there! i had another scan and they predict a 8.5pound baby - could even be a 10pounder (like the bubs mum eek!)... theyre keeping a close eye on me so my appts have become weekly now due to the swelling... my physio told me my hands looked like lil sausages... great.. hehe but my feet look bizarre - i have no ankles anymore and my knees, well, thats a different story!! its strange coz my blood pressure is a tad higher altho still within the norm but theyre saying it mite escalate - could be the start of pre-eclampsia which i hope not!
hope everyones doing good! take care, luv, d

Hi, everyone :) Hope all is well with you and your little ones! I am sure you are all getting so anxious to meet him/her/them...I know I am. I can't wait. We started our child birth classes and it's a little bit funny doing the breathing exercises, but hubby definitely feels more involved now. I told not to feel left out, because when she comes he will be VERY involved :)

Wanted to ask everyone...have any of you had problems with tingly achy forearms and hands? My doc says it's because I am retaining some fluid in my hands and it is putting pressure on my nerves. It is very uncomfortable and am wondering if any of you have tips for me...doc says there isn't much I can do besides taking it easy.

Hi girls,
Been very quiet here lately, i suppose it's coz most have been busy having their babies. Congratulations to you all.

Today is day 1 of my maternity leave, it felt so great not having to set the alarm and get ready for work.
This coming Monday will be 3 weeks til my due date, i really can't wait now, getting more and more uncomfortable every day.
I think we are finally organised now, got the last of our baby stuff delivered the other day, it was just a pram bedding set, baby bouncer chair, changing mat and a baby sleeping bag thingy. I couldn't believe the prices of these items, they were dirt cheap in a sale from www.nurseryandtoys.com usually the sleeping bags cost about £20+ but on this site in the sale i got one for only £5, bargain or what.

My midwife has been a bit concerned lately over these headaches i've been getting, my BP, urine etc have all been fine so she doesn't think it's the onset of pre-eclampsia but just wants to keep an eye on me just in case.
How is everyone else keeping? Hope you're all fine.
Take care
Lotsa love

Sounds like you're well on your way, Michelle :) What bargains you found. I will have to check out that website. Although we are almost ready at this point.

Hopefully your headaches are just your hormones wreaking havoc on your body and nothing else. Keep us posted and let us know how you're doing :)

Hello Ladies
I don't post much but would just like to introduce myself to this thread as I 'm just into my third trimester, can't believe it. It's not long til July now. Feel lucky that all has gone well in my pregnancy so far, keeping my fingers crossed and touching wood all the time. Glad to hear you are all well.

howdy mums2b!
welcome leigh, getting into the 3rd tri is fab aint it! its all making it more real and soooo close now yay!
brandy - that tingly feeling and numbness is carpal tunnel syndrome - a very common discomfort in preg... i have it and unfortunately its getting worse... im dropping everything!! i hardly have strength anymore and now theyre beginning to get painful... u need to see a physio to get some wrist splints theyve helped me heaps and i can sleep waaay better with them at nite... apparently as soon as we have our bubs it goes away altho my mum had the same prob with me and it took her awhile to go back to normal (with an injection in both wrists) but she dropped me 3 times  (mite explain a few things lol :? )
hope everyone else is doing good! michelle, i love a good ole bargain - ur not wrong, baby stuff is sooo expensive!! we got all our furniture, pram and stuff.. the babies room looks sooooo cute that dh and i just keep walking in there and staring at it!!! oh, and we keep playing with the pram - we been taking it for a walk up and down the hall sshh hehehe
luv, d :D

Hi girls,
How we all doing today?
Brandy, i agree with Danica, sounds a bit like carpal tunnel to me, my friend suffered this during her pg and it cleared up after her baby was born.

Lol @ Danica taking the pram a walk up and down the hallway.
I wish i had a baby's room to go and look at but we are in a 1 bedroom house and our local council keep on refusing to move us until the baby is at least 6 months old. DH is getting really annoyed with them now as there has been a 2 or 3 bedroom house just across the road that has been sitting empty for at least 2 months, he has written them letters, made phone calls and visited their offices at least once a week for the last couple months but still no luck, they say we are not priority. It really makes our blood boil coz if i was 16, single and pg and on benefits i'd get a 3 bedroom house no problem at all, the same applies to all those junkies and others who haven't worked a day in their life. Sorry for the rant. It must be such a great feeling to just go into the nursery and think that that's where your soon to be born little un will be sleeping soon.

I've been feeling a bit different the last 2 days, i can't describe it, just feel weird, my tummy feels weird too, like a kind of whooshing feeling, like when on a rollercoaster your tummy whooshes up to your throat, it's that sort of feeling but the whooshing goes down the way. Told you i'm weird, lol.
Also been getting what i can only describe as AF type cramps in my tummy and lower back and feel really achey in my "lady bits" and inner thighs. Is anyone else feeling like this? Are these signs that baby could be making her presence soon? Probably just wishfull thinking, i'm 37wks today so still got 3 weeks to go.
Think i've rambled on enough for one day.
Hope you're all doing ok.
Take care
Lotsa love

Michelle

Thanks, Danica and Michelle for your thoughts and tips on dealing with my carpal tunnel syndrome I've developed. I will have to try the splints and see if they work. My doctor basically just scolded me for doing too much on my feet as I am starting to retain fluid everywhere, not just my hands. If I weigh myself after dinner, rest all night and weigh myself again in the morning, I am usually 3.5-4 lbs lighter! Hard to believe, but I guess the water retention goes everywhere! Enough negative talk...

Michelle, maybe your baby is dropping and engaging?! That could be why you are starting to feel more pressure and achiness in your pelvic area. That could be a good sign :)

Yes, I love looking in the nursery as well. I still have to organize everything, but we have everything in there and it is all painted and everything. So much fun...I find myself playing with the crib mobile and little rattles, too. Can't wait! I am so curious what our little girl will look like :)

Hi girls,
How's everyone doing?
Can you believe we are now so close to finally meeting our little uns, i still find it hard to come to terms with the fact i'll have a daughter in a couple weeks time.

Brandy, you were right, at my midwife appt the other day i mentioned the cramps and aching "lady bits" and she said it's just my body getting ready for the birth, the little un's head is starting to engage which is what's causing it. My next appt isn't until 5 days before my due date but she said that by then i might be coming in to see her with baby in tow, i really hope so.
I'm at the point now where i'm fed up being pg, i want to be able to sleep comfortably without getting up a million times a night to go to the loo, to be able to bend over and put on a pair of socks or tie laces without my belly in the way, to be able to walk without waddling, the list is endless but it's the simplest of things that i used to take for granted that are the hardest to do now (maybe an idea for a new topic on it's own  ) The one thing i will really miss about being pg is feeling my little girl move about inside me.
I think i've rambled on long enough about nothing much
Take care all and talk to you all soon,
Lotsa love
