Hi

i'm at Liverpool Women's Hospital. previously i was at Leighton near Crewe which runs a transfer scheme where your consultant and monitoring and egg collection is there but the embryo transfer is at Liverpool and after so many failed attempts we decided to change to a consultant at Liverpool and just go there for everything even though it's over an hour away.

best of luck to you!

Natalie - really hoping that all the extra effort and the change of clinic has made the difference for you

Cyot - hang in there. Try to stay positive whilst AF has still not arrived. I know that it is very hard. May be the crying will have helped rather than bottling everything up. We are here for you if you need to come here & rant or be sad. This is such a hard journey for all of us. You should go to the clinic for your test. They can detect lower levels of hcg that a home test. Some girls get -ve at home to then get a +ve at the clinic. I really did not want to go & for me AF had already started the day before but I felt that I should go so that they can get as much data on me as possible so that they can make it work next time. It also did give me closure on my first go - although not the sort that any of us want. I am a lot older than you but do know what you mean about the tube thing. I figured if we could 'avoid' the tubes then why shouldn't the rest of me work! I was so happy as an older lady when I responded well to stimmies and we had a good number of eggs as well. Guess the implanation part is the bit that they know least about...............we are here if/when you need us

Sarahface - 15 follies is really great. I felt very sore and that is because I had quite a lot of follies. Keep drinking lots of water. I spent the last weekend in swaet pants as that was all I could get over my tummy. From everything that I have read - light walking appears fine. It is the jumping up and down that is not advised - aerobics, jogging etc etc Sounds like you have cut back your coffee a lot. I have really cut back on the caffenine but I read that chocolate is also bad so guess that I am going to have to try to cut that out too which is really tough for me - have cut back my alcohol too but am now going to go totally dry  Maybe I totally imagined it but I seemed to be doing ok for the first week of my 2ww. I did all the things that Natalie says below including only getting up to go to the loo for the first 3 days and spending the rest of the day in bed. 1 week after EC I got very stressed at work (second day back) & had to stay at the office very late. From then onwards I felt all the early signs go away & by body felt like it shrunk like a balloon had been popped. I am going to talk to my dr about it at our review appointment but sure that the work stress did me no favours at all. Will be looking to do things differently next time. I did the low dose aspirins and pineapple juice as Natalie says

Dania - keep thinking of you. You are so good to have stayed away from the evil pee sticks. Well done you. Sure that your grandfather is looking down on you. Interested to read what you said. My mum's dad was my rock.

Jacqoa21 - sorry if we all talk in code. You get so used to all the jargon so quickly. I said AF rather than period to my dh the other day & he had no clue what I was talking about. :!: Down regging as you know is the part at the start where they close our systems down - normally injections or sniffing or birth control pills. That always seems so counter productive to what we are trying to achieve

Em - hoping that you are doing ok. We are here for you

Anyway - guess that I better go back to my day job. Yawn Yawn. Just saw my ticker - our review/next steps appointment is 2 weeks away today. This Wednesday is certainly a lot better than last Wednesday so time certainly helps the pain. I am going to see a specialist acupuncturlist (spelling!?) tomorrow to see if he can help me. Have also found out something about hair analysis for minerals which they then try to balance with supplements? Does anyone else know about that or has anyone else tried that?

Love to all.

Carolyn-Glad you are starting to feel better hun. Yes, time will heal the pain even if it doesn’t seem like it at first. I’ve heard about the hair analysis but don’t know anyone who’s tried it. Let us know how you get on. Wishing you a nice calm day at work.

Sarah-how are you doing? Good luck for your next scan on Friday. 15 Follies is a great number. You take it easy now and rest as much as possible and don’t forget to drink plenty of water. As for the 2ww, Zita West recommends 3 days in bed. I didn’t stay in bed but took it very easy for the first 3 days and still try to rest in between. No heavy lifting ect. Let hubby do the housework Image

Cyot-hun…I wish I’d know what to say/write to make you feel better. Guess there are no words for it. Thinking of you and sending you a big fat hug. I’ll still pray for a BFP for you tomorrow. Please do the progesterone shot tonight and go to the blood test…you never know. Good luck.

Dania-how are you? Any news yet? My fingers are crossed for you. Please let us know how you get on.

Jackoa-good luck with your Stimms. What are you on (Units and Med)? Hope everything goes ok for you.

Sofia-thx for the article about the hcg-sounds very interesting. How are you getting on?

Natalie Anne-how are you feeling? PMA to you girl.

Lucy-How did it go hun? My fingers are crossed for you and all those lovely little follies. I will add you to my messenger if that’s ok. Then we can have a good chat if you fancy it. Don’t be scared you will not be alone!

Wendy-welcome to the 2ww. Hope it will be a relaxed one for you (does that seem possible ?*g*) Hope your little embys make themselves at home. Good luck.

LauraLou-Hope everything went ok for you today? How are you feeling? Good luck and all the best for those follies.

Well as for myself…the rash is still there and seem to be at worse in the mornings. Maybe it is the Progesterone…I had a look and it contains vegetable fat that’s all it says. I had the same ones twice before and never a problem. But it was always in winter so maybe it’s a reaction with the sunlight? I don’t dare going out…I look really horrible Image

Struggling a bit with the PMA at the mo, not feeling down or sad but don’t feel pregnant neither if that makes any sense. *g* Only 6 days to go…that’s if AF don’t show before which it has done the last 2 times round.

Wishing all you Girls a lovely day and a big hello and Image to everyone I might have forgotten.

The wait is killing me. My beta test date is May 24th. 7 more days to go. I cannot think about anything else! I swore to Dh I will not come to the board because it makes me even more obsessed but here I am on the computer reading about IVf and symptoms. i have none. i am so worried. the embies should implant today- it's day 7 and I feel nothing....

Carolyn, would you please update the list with my test date on it as well? Thanks!!

Love

I just got back from my EC. They got 10 eggs!!! The doctor was surprised, he thought we'd only get 6-8.

They will call me tomorrow afternoon with how many fertilized. We are doing ICSI, so hopefully most of them will.

They will probably do the ET on Monday (5/22). They will do it on Saturday if there are only two good embryos, but with 10 eggs I'm guessing we will be able to wait until Monday and pick the best two.

I have some cramping. I never get menstrual cramps, but I imagine this is similar. I am going to take some Tylenol and lay down.

I can't believe this is finally happening!

Best wishes.

Dania

I am so very very sorry for you & your dh. I don't know why but I so thought that you were going to get a positive result. You looked after yourself well & stayed away from evil pee sticks. This is so hard.

You'll need to hug & cry lots. Be there for each other. I can promise you that it will get better over the next week for you. It is hard and very raw and all just beneath the surface but you are a strong lady and you will manage.

We really are here for you. Please stay on the board with me & Em plus anyone else who wants/needs to stick around. We can really help each other & we will do this again & we will get a positive next time. Don't want to move to another thread and get to know another group of people - well not right now.

Thinking of you & sending you really big hugs.
