Well had our hospital appointment yesterday and baby is breech with her bum down. The doctor we saw as most of them had the worse bedside manner and had me in tears, i relly wasn't keen on ha ving her turned but i felt that he tried to bully me into it even though he would then contradict himself by saying it probaly wouldn't work, Then he scared the hell out of me by telling me how having a c-section is risky extra in my case. So i was ready to say we would try turing her then we meet with the midwife and she was really anti attemping to turn her as it can be really disstressing and they may have to deliver her as an emergceny and again she didn't think it would work either. SO any way we are booked to have a c-section on the 22 nd nov, I went there all excited yesterday and now i am quite scared about the whole thing.

Oh Mrs B
I could just shoot some doctors. I am so sorry about your app. Everything will go fine, c-sections are so routine and problem free.Doctors really should think about what they say a bit more, and act less like gods and more like humans.
Just think you will be holding your baby on the 22 november.

Mrs B, I agree with Miss Piggy, C sections are utterly routine these days and nothing to worry about at all. Why did he say this was more of a risk in your case? You're young and healthy and happen to have a breech baby - to me that seems like the most usual reason and best case for a section. Better than an emergency one which would also be fine but probably a little more emotionally draining.
Just keep focused on the end goal, a baby!
I know that I have no preconceptions about a 'birth experience', our baby didn't go in the conventional way and it looks like it won't be coming out the conventional way and I totally don't mind as long as it comes out healthy!
Only 3 weeks to go - time to start practising changing nappies!!!

Mrs. B, do not worry about the c-section. I was not sure how I would deal with it, but it was not as bad as I was expecting. I am exceited that you know when your little one will be home with you!

Thanks for your messages girls i feel a bit better about it now can't belive she will be here that soon, Im still worried as i had major surgery 10 years ago on my pelvis ( This is why we had to have IVF due to scarring) I have had probelms ever since and have been told that they would not want to operate again on me due to the fact that my insides are stuck together and aren't laying were they should be, so there is a risk they may cut through something like my bowel or bladder. So anyway im trying not to think to much about what might happen i know doctors have to make you aware of the risks but i just felt he went the wrong way about it as its really the only way she is going to come out!! Has anyone else been suffering with rib pain the last couple of morning mine have been aching don't think it helps that we have a rubbish mattress. Denise how are the babies doing??

Denise, its fantastic that they're doing so well!! They look adorable! I can't believe they can go home already, I'm sure it must feel like the longest time to you, but it seems just amazing. The care for premature babies is fantastic, it is heartening to see them thrive so well.

Hi ladies,

Denise, love the photos of the little one's they are sooooo cute!!! so glad that william is finaly home with you, bet you cant wait to victoria home too now. hope the sleepless nights aren't too bad for you.

Mrs B, good luck for the 22nd bet your getting so excited now.

Tams, so your little bean is still in the hammock position, thre is still time for s/he to turn yet honey. i saw my midwife yesterday and my little one is head down but not engaged, but since then s/he has moved and is back in the hammock position, think its the most comfy poss for them!!! still no new on what will happen with me, got to wait til 36 weeks but i'm getting bigger now and the heart burn has now turned to reflux during the night which is killing me slowly.... i cant wait to finish work now as after being on my feet for 12hrs my ankles are starting to swell. still not put on that much weight tho still only 5kg but there is still time yet....
the only thing that is worrying me a little is that i'm measuring 2 weeks behind my dates, the midwife didn't seem to bothered but have to see her again next week.
how is the course going it must be hard on you..

well hope all is well with everyone can't wait to hear of the next BIRTH!!

take care

lol

Hello!

Sha, I have a m'wife appnt this wed and a scan and am then seeing the consultant next Tues when I'll be 35 wks (was supposed to book for 36weeks but decided that 35 was late enough!) It feels as though the baby is still in the same position but I guess I'll know for sure on Wed. Can not believe you have only put on 5kg, I had put on 12 when I last checked, have now stopped weighing myself as too depressing!!

Miss Piggy I have been having all sorts of strange pains and quite a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. I am getting truly unweildy now, putting on shoes quite tricky! has anyone else had a lot of Braxton Hicks? Also the baby seems to get hiccups at least 2 x a day.

3 weeks left of the course, can not wait until it is over - 2 more projects to finish, I can see some more late nights coming up.

Hope you're all well, I can't believe we're nearly at the birth stage - where has the time gone?! Does anyone else feel as though the idea of a baby in the house is still totally sureal??!!

Must get back to work now

hi everyone,

Tams, good luck with the scan, lets hope the little one has move head down for you. As for hiccups, my little bean gets them all the time more around 3-4 times aday. as for putting on weight i was starting to get worried about it but i have put another kilo on this week so i'm putting down to starting late, so its all down hill from now on i think!!! :o
as for it still not feeling real, i totaly agree, i just cant believe that n a few weeks time i'm going to have a baby of my own!!! dont think it will sink in until i hold the little one in my arms. :D

Miss piggy, pains, pains and more pains and yes they do seem to be worse at night, i dont thik i have had a full nights sleep for 3 weeks now and its starting to get me down, i'm finishing work on friday and it can not come quick enough, can't wait to put my feet up and chill.

has anyone thought about xmas shopping yet?? i'm normaly on the ball and have started to get things by now but for some reason i just cant be bothered to walk around the shops, DH and i went out on saturday with all good intentions of doing some xmas shopping, in the end we bought a few things for the baby and had a lovely lunch!!! no xmas pressie in sight!!!

looks like it will be internet shopping for me this year

well ladies our time is getting closer hope everyone is doing ok.
keep us up to date
