I just wanted to give a little update. DH and I are back on the acu. DH is taking some chinese herbs. We believe the last the herbs contibuted to his good sperm count/quality back in November. In early March DH will try to bank some swimmers and then hopefully we can do around of IUI. Of course untill then there's always ala naturale
Catharine: I was wondering the same thing. The site was down for a few days.
It is good to hear that you and DH have a plan.
It is hard to believe that my Andrew will turn 3 years old next week! This is such a fun age. He is
very inquisitive and is constantly asking me questions...............like, "Mom, did God make glass?"
He is also very funny and is always trying to make people laugh.
Hello to everyone else.

Kat so sorry for your loss cycle Be gentle with yourself and may you be blessed soon (((gentle hugs)))
Catharine all the best to you and hubby. We had a consult with chinese herbs and I have some herbs for hubbyman that is supposed to help with counts, motility and morphology and it's called Ho Shou Wu. I hope whatever herbs your hubby's on works a treat and you get your natural miracle before you do the IUI
Hello to all!
We had our consult last week and it went well although we have to do some re-testing since the last results are outdated. Our Dr is lovely and a caring Dr who truly believes every couple going through IF should be blessed to have a child. He is so caring that when we told him that hubby's dad is sick he commented about hthat in his email note to me.
The same day of the consult we learned that FIL is very sick, possibly lung cancer Hubbyman left to be with his parents who live across the country. He is having a test right now to see where the cancer is located and whether it has spread. We are praying it hasn't. Please, if you do believe in the power of prayer, I ask that you pray for us all especially my FIL & MIL.
Anyway this has obviously put our IVF cy on hold as for one we have to raise all of this ourselves and had a bit saved however we had to use that money to send hubbyman back to his parents. I am not bothered about IVF at this moment as I just want my FIL to get better.
Anyway I wanted to wish all of you the best. I will still pop in from time to time to cheer from the sidelines.
I have a question for you and hope to get your inputs/helps. We are going back to San Antonio for a short visit. I would love to bring our two ivf kids to show the REs, nurses and embryologist to let them know what an amazing job they did - both of our kids born after we left SA. My problem is when I was there, all the staff were not very personal nor friendly. My guess was they were trained to behave like that. Because ivf cycles are so emotional and stressful, they need keep their distance with their patients. I did not like the their emotionless faces, but I truly impressed by their professionalism. So, here is the question for you all, how could we show our appreciation to them without being personal? The thing is that the clinic does not allow to put up any ivf's kids pictures, they think the baby pictures would induce stresses to the patients. So, any ideas?
I apologize if you find this post annoying. I do understand it's a hard struggle during the ivf process, which I never forget. I keep coming back here because I want to be with you while you are on your difficult journey. I'd have posted this question on the Parents after ivf" board, but it has much less participants there. I appreciate your indulgences. Wish everyone gets what you wish for.

First IVF cycle BFP!
Twins! Due March 8, 2010
Yasmina: My RE's office has photos of babies all over the walls. When we had an appt. to discuss the frozen cycle, I brought
Andrew with us and introduced him to my RE and staff. They were glad to see him.
Renee: Take it easy these next two weeks. I never had nausea with Andrew either. I guess I was lucky!
BFK: So sorry to hear about your FIL. Hopefully, he will get better soon so that you and DH can resume your IVF plans.
Hello to Catharine, CarolineP, Kat and Garfield Tracy and anyone else that I may have missed.
AFM, I'm trying to get my Andrew better before his birthday party on Friday. He has a bad cold with a croupy cough
and runny nose. He has also been running a low grade fever at night. This evening, he said, "Go away cough!"
He is too funny.
Take care all,
Tammy

Sabi-Congratulations! Two bundles of joy. I'm so happy for ya'll.
Yamina-my RE's clinic also does not post publicly. However, they do post the pictures in the staff break room. You may want to inquire if this is the case. I agree with Renee on the food for staff, a tray of lunch meats, or fruits is always a welcome gesture of thanks.
Renee-hang in there girl. Sending you lots of PMA to help you through this first trimester.
Tammy-I hope Andrew is better by Friday. How excited he must be.
I see some new names but the familiar ones from the past as well. I haven't posted since Oct 2009. Good to see that you are all doing well and your children are doing good too. Noticed that the boards have changed.
Children - We took a very nice bakery cake and pasteries to our RE's office when we had to leave. They told us to send photos, even though they don't post them in the waiting room.
Tammy - I can't believe Andrew is 3. I believe I started posting on here while you were pregnant with Andrew. Hope Andrew gets to feeling better.
Sabi - Congratulations on your twin boys!! Just curious, but how much did they weigh? I hope I can make it to 36 weeks. Did you get to take them home right away or did they have to spend any days in NICU? Are the sleepless nights as bad as they say? Did they put you to bed early?
Renee - I will keep you in my prayers for a success this time. I remember the fatigue very well. I didn't have nausea, but the fatigue was almost unbearable.
BFK - hope your FIL gets good news on his tests. I will keep him in my prayers for healing.
AFM - I am 29 weeks today. I am still at work (but with my feet propped up). It has been crazy trying to get two of everything together for the twins. We are expecting a boy and a girl. I have had a really good pregnancy, so I feel very blessed especially with my age.
Since they have changed the boards, I cannot find where I can change my profile. I have browsed about all the headings and I must be overlooking it somewhere.
Kim: That is wonderful news about your twins! I bet you and DH are extremely excited. It is hard to believe that Andrew will be three on Sunday. He has been such a joy.
AFM, Andrew is feeling much better this morning. His fever is gone and his appetite is back. Unfortunately, he gave me his cold and I'm feeling yucky.
We are not longer trying to get pregnant, but of course we are not using any protection so I guess there is always a chance.
We are still in the adoption line, but DH is a little hesitant to add another child to our family right now. As we get closer to the referral time, we will have to make a definitive decision, since I would have a very difficult time rejecting a referral
once I saw the baby's photo.
Hello to Yasmina, BFK, Catharine, Sabi, Renee, Kat, CarolineP and anyone that I may have missed.

Kim congratulations to you on your pregnancy! Wow! What a double blessing! Thanks for your kind words and prayers. Sadly the suspicion was correct and FIL is sick with lung cancer along with heart issues. My husband picks up his sister today and then changes his ticket so he can return in a couple of weeks. It has been strange him not being here. I am glad he is there with his Dad and I hope he can cherish this time with him, should he be on his way to heaven
Tammy hello!
Happy weekend to you all!
Not sure that IVF is in our future since this latest turn of events. However we shall look into some other way that we can do this when God wills it.
