Annashope-still praying for you. Im hoping for really good news.

AFM-Quick update. I recieved a call from the nerologist this morning. He wants to see me back on the 20th and also wants me to scheudle and appointment with an ENT as soon as possible. The MRI I had done earlier this week showed the following;

1. 5mm pineal region cyst.
2. Thick mucosal changes within the right maxillary sinus.
3. Partially opacified right mastoid air cells.
4. Small retention cyst or polyp in the left maxillary sinus.

I did a little bit of research on pineal cycsts and they are almost always benign. The cyst is located in a part of the brain that house the pineal gland. They can cause headaches and visual disturbanses along with dizziness. This may or may not be the cause of my migraines. I assume this is why the neurologist wants to see me back on the 20th. Pineal cyst are typically just followed up on every so often to make sure they are not growing. The other findings make sense given the number of sinus infections I have had and the constant sinus pain and pressure I feel. I will schedule the appointment with the ENT and see what he or she says.

Maria, I have a cyst in my sinus too. Nobody has ever cared about it. It shows up on my MRI.

Blue-I guess the concern is all of the sinus infections I have gotten recently. Otherwise, the neurologist will probably just monitor the pineal cyst in the pineal gland area of my brain. This he thinks mat be the cause of my migraines. The sinus issue they will probably just order sinus rinses, other medications, etc... in order to reduce the sinus pressure & recurring sinus infections.

So long story short....we ended up being able to biopsy 4 of the embryos and 1 came back normal today. so, we just finished transferring our 1 little girl. we are praying that she will stick and snuggle in for a 9 month stay. i have estrogen and progesterone blood level testing on tuesday, and then beta on the 25th. so, i am snuggled into bed and dh just went out to get me some snacks and movies.

So, just got off the phone and of our 9 eggs, 7 fertilized! Pretty psyched. He wants us to go in tomorrow for a 3- day transfer (which is actually closer to 2.5 days but he says it's fine). Ill post back tomorrow night after transfer. Wish me luck girls

Annashope, I jumped on the board when I got home to check up on everyone, and I couldn't be happier that your beta was so good and strong. Keep up the good work mama, God does perform miracles!

AFM: yeah, my boss told me I'm interviewing with the district manager next week for a possible promotion. Sales numbers and commision are looking good, so I stand a good chance. I'll do whatever it takes to keep my feet planted in the sand.

Globe great fert report I can't believe you have 17 fert that is amazing. When I did IVF I was a poor responder and we only got 4 eggs and of those only 2 made it to transfer. Sounds like things are moving well congrats

Sunshine good luck on the interview I am sure you will do great. And I am a total shoe shopaholic so yay for 6 new pairs. I got 2 new summer sandals this weekend now I am just waiting for the weather to warm up so I could wear them

Maria I am sorry about the cysts. Good luck with the neurologist I hope you feel better. I have no experience with sinus infections but I did have migraines as a teenager and those were terrible. Feel better

AFM the bleeding has slowed to a tiny bit of brown spotting so God willing it will go away. Thank you everyone for your kindness and support. We are still in shock

Maria: oh those cysts sound nasty. How are your headaches today?

Julia: im doing ok thanks. How are you?

Afm: for the first time was upset a "friend" is pregnant. Not so much that she is pregnant, she moved back to south africa in dec to start a family and is now due at end of oct!! What upset me is she knew I was doing ivf and just posted a general notice to all her friends on facebook which I found really insensitive and its really unlike me to be this sensitive but I feel it.

Also went to a general meeting on adoption last night. We are now nearly two years on this road and its a bloody mess for everyone. Most people are 5+ years on the road and are no nearer due to the hague convention. We are like israel in that its generally 7+ years to adopt, children are much older - between 3 and 5 and countries are just not dealing with ireland. Dh is 45 in june and im 41 in oct so I really doubt this will be an option for us. So back to ivf and im njust going to have to put my head down, lose more weight and really be as stress free as possible
