Indie- 7 is plenty! Even many people who retrieve more eggs don't get many fertilized...QUALITY, not quantity! I only had 9 retrieved and 4 fertilized....BFP :) I'm so sorry you got sick- I can't belive they didn't give you anything!

Thechosenone- yes- I had AF type cramps frequently until very recently(now just occasionally). I'm 10 weeks tomorrow. It's all the changes going on in your uterus...totally normal!

Stress- I was very tired and luckily I'm a school librarian so now school's out. I just went to work and came home each day at 4:00 and laid dow for a while! I go to bed early too. I spend a lot of the weekend napping!

Awesome Baylor! Tomorrow will be so exciting!

Glad you're joining the party in progress Angram...keep us posted on your stim reports :)

Ladies I'm back, I got the gel :( 5 of my 7 fertilized conventionally (no ICSI) so I'm pretty happy about that. She said that she did see a 3day transfer though in my future...but the embryologist would make the final decision in the morning and the nurse would call me.

For those of you that got the Gel....how do you get it to stay in? She said the vaginal walls were like a sandwich and they stayed together unless something like the applicator...etc was to separate them and then they went right back together. Not sure if I'm different or what...but anytime I've used Monistat or other vag. meds/creams it's always came out....maybe mine aren't like a sandwich LOL

I'm going to call my nurse tomorrow, well she'll call me and I'm going to ask. If it's all coming out of me, it's not doing it's job and I'm worried about that. She also said (the randomizer, not my nurse) that this stuff is 'sticky' so it's supposed to stick and assured me it would be okay....well not 2 steps out of the office I felt some come out, then felt more come out when I went to the bathroom, then some on the way home.....arGGHHH!!!

Well, looks like if nothing changes I'll be PUPO on Saturday :) Thanks for all the positive vibes and sticky vibes too!

Hi Indie - 5 fertilized, that is awesome! Day 3 transfer is still very good, I think my RE does mostly a 3dt and his BFP % is great. Good luck! I used crinone on my last cycle and it wasn't that bad, but a little did come out. I wouldn't worry too much about it, crinone has great results. I think the study calls for it during the day, but my previous cycle my RE called for it at night, maybe that helped keep it in. I think morning is better though cause it gets it moving around and I had an issue with major build up the first time around, which was incredibly gross when it fiinally came out. You'll do fine and very soon you'll be PUPO!!! :D

Angram I read that some RE's say to scoop out that buildup after the 2nd day or so....GROSS!!!! I'll do anything to get a BFP though LOL When she told me I had to do this for 12 weeks though...icky! I plan on putting it in at 6am on the mornings I don't have an appt and laying back down for a while...maybe that'll help it stay in place :)

Indie...I have gel...and I lay down for 10 minutes...that helps a lot if not a lot comes out....and also I discovered that it much better if I hold the applicater in this position :

tip down towards your girlfriend and back portion a lil tilted up and then push inside

So basically the applicator is not parallel to the ground

Also I keep my legs up. for those 10 min..

I do not clean anything by going inside...I only clean the stuff that has fallen off....

Its more gross (more come out) for the first 3-5 days than later....dont know why...I used toilet paper wrap during these days...because the panty liner feels wet after some time....and then make a new wrap everytime I go to the ladies room

also the color of the gel changes when it falls off...sometimes....not always....

I hope this helps...

My Beta today was 19000 and progesterone 131....Nurse was happy...

stress WOW, look at that BETA!!!! Congrats! Thanks for the tips on the Crinone...so you're saying kind of shoot in in parallel to your hoohaa instead of going vertically in? I do plan on laying down for an hour or so....I'll do it at the earliest possible time they let me (6pm) and then lay down till 7 or 7:30. I have a very very non busy summer too...LOL so that should help.

Thanks again!

Stress - that is one incredible beta!! When do you have another U/S?

Indie - Is your ET tomorrow morning or Saturday?

baylorbear - How was your u/s today? I was thinking the other day..I had to get my study b/w done on a weekend at Seton Hospital and I ran into a woman from out of town and she wasn't sure how to get to the RE's office from there. Was that possibly you? This would have been a couple of months ago, I think maybe Easter weekend. I'm sure there are a ton of women that travel to Austin for treatment, but just thought I'd check :)

I'm on day 3 of stims and I go in tomorrow for b/w and u/s. Hoping all goes well and my current dose is doing my follies good.

Indie- congratulations on 5- that's awesome! Did you get a definite on how many they will put back? Will you go for the max? Exciting!!!!!
Maybe you're lady parts are more of a pita or taco than a sandwich...hence the stuff falling out! :) LOL Good plan to lay down...and UGHHHKKK on the build up and digging it out! Good luck!

Stress...awesome beta ...is today the U/S?

Happy Friday and blessings to everyone as you grow follies and babies!

Becca That is what I said on another board....I think my lady parts are more like Pita bread LOL I went back to bed this morning after putting it in, and so far so good...but it still feels icky. My husband said "did you tell them that you're not like most women 'down there'?" LOL...ummm, thanks honey!!!

I'm going to just pray about how many to put back in and I know that God will make the decision for me. I pray that there are exactly 3 left on day 3 and that'll make my decision for me. Or even 4 left on day 3, but one that is arresting...again, easy decision. I'll let you guys know how many she says are still dividing when she calls me this morning.

Karen What time was your ET? She said mine would be in the afternoon, but that sort of puts a crimp in making sure that Crinone gets in there before 10am....what did you do? Maybe she was mistaken and it'll be in the AM?

Hello all... I had my ultrasound yesterday and they confirmed 2 strong heartbeats (124 & 117 bpm's)... Yes, TWINS... My DH and I are still in shock so we are working on the excitement side of things. My RE has me coming back for another U/S in a week as he was unable to tell if they were identical twins or fraternal. He had some concerns that they were identical and possibly sharing the same sac which is not good; however, when he measured them, they were 3 days apart in growth, which led him to think that maybe one of them was just a late implantation and there were indeed two separate sacs. He also spotted a 3rd "something", but he couldn't determine if it was just fluid flowing through my uterus or possibly another baby. The 3rd something was on the opposite of the other two and did not look like the other two, so we don't know quite what to think. I am a nervous wreck to say the least. We had somewhat prepared mentally for twins, but triplets were not in the equation. I hope you all are doing well.

Congrats.....so glad you got to see them :) Hope the 3rd 'something' is just a shadow since you guys were not prepared for triplets!

Ya'll are cracking me up with the sandwich vs taco/pita discussion, I totally have a visual, thanks

baylorbear - I am so excited to hear you're having twins and got to see them both. I also pray that the 3rd something was nothing, and agree with Indie, maybe it was a shadow. Take good care of yourself.
