Hi there everyone! Just dropping in to say Hi..
CT-Michele just wanted to especially comment on how fabulous I think you are you always seem to find the time and reply to EVRYone here and know exactly what is going on with whom. Thanks for that because it helps me catch up.
Just wanted to let you all know that I just ovulated so my next period shouldnt be far away and then I will be day one!! I am starting to get very nervous though trying to stay positive.
Thanks to everyone who helped with my little DH matter. It really was no big deal I was just trying to be as supportive as I could and I wasnt sure I was going about it the right way.
Oh I just wanted to let you all know that I have done all of those things that you advised me already! I probably sounded like I was being cruel to him but in no way was that the case, because I haVE always stressed to him that this is HIS baby I want to have etc etc... I just wanted to make sure I was doing enough.
hope2be- Thanks for you nice comments. I am on these boards way too much...i guess you could say I am addicted! I have so many other things I should be doing, like homework, or housework, but I find myself drawn to find out how all of my ivf friends are doing.
I am glad to here things are good with you and dh, just keep on supporting him and both of you keep up the pma!
ianmichael- I am sure it is possible to get late hpts, that is probably why they make you try again. And don't lose hope yet, I was a late implanter myself and hpt's didn;t show for me until late, but I don't know how iui's differ.
sbr- glad to see you are still around and hanging in there. I am a teacher too, but currently not working...took the year off to be with my baby, and am considering staying out for a while longer. But I still tutor after school a couple days, and even that paperwork is overwhelming, so I don;t know how you are doing it. I was teaching last year during my first ivf and it took a toll on me, but I made it through. We really do have a lot in common don't we?
cymplicity- day 10...you must be close to trigger...do you know yet when it will be?
sisi- so glad to hear your embies are still doing well. Only 2 days until you bring them home!
Sari- so jealous of 72 degrees. We are getting an early spring deep freeze hear in ct, with wind it was below 20 degrees today. 72 would be awesome right now, I am looking so forward to 50 and sunny at the end of the week.
so I went to RE today. Of course my blood pressure was through the roof again even thoughb I have been doing everything in my power to get it down. I check it twice a day at home and it is fine (still a little on the high side, but not anything like it use to be). I am eating almost no foods that have any salt in it, taking omega 3's and trying to be active and lose weight. After I left the clinic, they called to tell me RE wants clearance from my regular dr before starting bcp's (which probably raised my bp more). So I am waiting for blood results from RE tomorrow, and I guess clearance from regular dr which they will hopefully fax tomorrow. So frustrating, RE had me on bcp's for over a month and a half right before my polyp surgery and they didn';t seem to care then even though bp was higher then. I just hope I don;t get delayed again.
Warning...TMI...another frustrating thing, why do they always ask for a urine sample so they can do a pregnancy test? They know I have my period today and I had the surgery and still can't have sex anyway due to the surgery. I was basically soiling myself b/c af is so heavy. I handed the lady the cup and it didn';t even look like urine, was all red, I was like, do you really even need to waste a strip? I know it's all just in case, but really unnecessary.
Ok, I will check on you lovely ladies tomorrow and hopefully have more news on myself. And mil is coming home wednesday, we are going tomorrow to have a family meeting with her dr regarding outpatien care, so things are looking good.

Good morning girls. Wow, everyone was really active the last couple of days! A few people to catch up on then...
Sisi - tomorrow's the big day and then you'll join the PUPO club!
Carolyn - thank goodness AF arrived in time so that she didn't mess up your timetable! Enjoy those drugs, and not injecting! What a good omen that ER for your ED is going to be on your wedding anniversary. Good vibes...
Kim - you're an absolute angel for doing your little dances for me. I think between you and the lady who does my acupuncture, you have managed to reduce my daily headaches a little so THANK YOU!! Unfortunately I'm still getting the hot flushes and night sweats but I don't mind those so much as I can still function normally with them. I'm hoping now that your "roll-on-2nd-April-so-I-can-have-my-baseline-and-hopefully-start-stims" dance for me is going to work just as well! So more importantly, how are you doing honey? Hope the 2ww isn't dragging too much - I guess you are back to work now so hopefully that will keep your mind otherwise occupied. Not long until your beta on Friday... By the way, I love your idea of a window into the uterus so you can see what's going on daily - I think we would all love one of those!!
Cynthia - how did your u/s go this morning? So fab that your follies all look good - I'm rooting for you to trigger tonight and for a bumper harvest on Thursday!
Latie - Five fertilised eggs, that's great! Hope they go from strength to strength - did you have a day 3 transfer yesterday or are you having a day 5 tomorrow with Sisi?
Wintergirl - welcome to the thread. Hope you decide to join us - looking forward to getting to know you better.
Lee - oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that you got a negative with your HPT. BUT if I've learnt anything reading these boards, it is that nothing is certain until beta, so try and keep the faith...
Babyluv - happy stimming! All the best for your u/s on Thursday - grow little follies grow!
Hopeful - another welcome. Hope the stimming is going well, let us know how you got on at the clinic today!
Babymex - my heart went out to you, honey, when I read your post about the ectopic surgery. You have really been put through it recently and I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you and for you to get some good news on trying again with IVF in the future. Like others, I thought your sister's offer was awesome, what a lovely family you have.
Estrellita - I'm doing the AF dance for you!
dys - yay, you're onto the next stage. Happy stimming!
Ianmichael/Nicole - a third welcome! I think a lot of us have probably tried IUI before IVF so I imagine there's a lot of experience on this thread if you want to ask questions! I had IUI four times over the last 10 months. Your question about being told to do HPT's afer IUI - I was told to wait 2 weeks after the procedure then do a HPT. If it was negative, but AF still didn't arrive, then I was to test again 2/3 days later. If AF arrived before that, then I didn't need to do a second test. I think it is because of the chances of the HPT giving a false negative, so if AF doesn't arrive you need to test again when (if you are pregnant) your pregnancy hormone levels will be higher. Assuming that they did the IUI on the day you ovulated, then AF should arrive 14 days later so if it doesn't, I would continue to test every few days until either you get a positive result or AF does arrive. All four of my IUIs didn't work, so I can't say from personal experience whether people have had a negative test after 2 weeks but a positive test 2/3 days later. But, having read stories on this board about ladies getting BFN's off HPTs and then getting BFP's at their beta after IVF, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Hope that helps!
Sari - thinking of you for your u/s today. Let us know how you get on. I love your story of your DH waking you up because he wanted to see his baby and kiss your tummy - so sweet!
hope2beamummy - hello again! So you're still on track, yay!
Tabatha - trigger tonight! Hurray!! And 17 follies, wow...
Sarah - hello! Wondered where you'd got too! I know what you mean about the amount of stories on this thread being overwhelming, it's not easy to keep up sometimes, especially if (God forbid!) you don't check in for a day. Like Michele, I'm probably a little addicted and find myself having a look a few times a day. I'm pleased to hear that you're still on track, let us know how you get on at your u/s on Thursday.
Last but not least, Michele. I'm so happy for you that your MIL is coming home tomorrow, I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping that she continues to improve strongly. And a big THANK YOU on behalf of all of us for doing such a great job with our tracker, it really helps to keep up to speed with everyone (I can't believe there are 34 of us now!) - I don't know how you have found the time alongside a six month old baby, your MIL situation and your polyp surgery. You really are this thread's superstar! I'm so pleased that AF arrived finally for you. I know you said that the clinic wanted to see you on day 1 or 2 of AF and that you've been having a slow flow for a few days now so were worried that you would be too late getting to the clinic, but I've always been led to believe that you count day 1 as the first day you have a 'full' flow of bright blood. I always have a day when I know AF is arriving but I have dark brown flow (not heavy) and I've been told not to count that as part of AF. Good luck with your blood results tomorrow and I'm trusting that you Dr will give you the go-ahead for IVF - didn't you say that your blood pressure was roughly similar the last time you did IVF? So I can't see why they would take issue with it now... Still, best to get/keep it down if you can so I'm sending lots of calming de-stressing vibes over the pond - here they come, on their way over now...
Looks like this week is going to be a busy one for lots of people - I will be thinking of you all...

ianmichael3- welcome to the board. I'm currently cycling for IVF however, I've been thru several natural iui's before and was still posting on this board. You will find support here even if you'r doing IUI, many of us have been thru iui first so feel free to ask any questions you might have as for the hpt mine told me to do hpt if i dont get my period withing 2 weeks after iui for me it arrived before I could actually test but I was testing 4 days before anyways because I'm a POAS addict lol
estrellita- I hope your AF comes soon we'll be doing the AF dance for ya!!!
hope2beamummy- i agree Michele is our thread superstar! Thank god for her to keep us all up to date
hjw- thank you
Michele- so sorry to hear about you BP urghhhhh if its not one thing then its something else. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you today so you'll get the clearance to start BCP! and I'm so happy for your MIL sound like she's going on the right path!!!
here's something for Michele thanks for keeping us all up to date and organized!!!
Hey Ladies-
Little update on me- Got AF on Friday- Yeah- so had appt yesterday (Monday) for U/S. Ovaries where nice and small, so got the OK to do FET this cycle. Luckily my RE doesn't make me wait a cycle after fresh.
FET looks like it will be around 3/12 (+/- a day).
I have 11 frosties- 6 are 2PN stage (Day 1 of fertilization- earliest stage to freeze- but best survival rates for thawing) and 5 day 3 embryos. We are going to thaw all 6 2PN zygotes and hope to do a 1-2 blastocyst transfer. Embryologist and RE hope to get 1-2 blastocysts from the 6 thawed zygotes. Not the best odds, but if we make it to blast, the odds of pregnancy are much greater. Obviously we'll have to go with the flow depending on what makes it past thaw and how they look at day 3.
I personally feel that the hardest decision of IVF is deciding what day to transfer and how many. I'm sure a lot of you ladies would agree that this is the hard part. I'm not a gambler, but it feels like that to me. I really don't want multiples, but want best odds of getting pregnant. All in all it makes for some hard decisions.
Yesterday I started Estrace tabs 2 mg twice daily. Hope they treat me right and I don't turn into too much of a b*tch HaHA.
Well I'll try to keep you guys updated. Not as much to tell with FET. Have U/S and B/W again 4/2 to see about starting progesterone. I'm going with the flow and doing the PIO even though I am not into it, but I'm willing to change since last cycle was a BFN. Babymex: I feel so close to you since we cycled so close together last time and ended up with BFN in the end. I have to say though, emotionally, it is easier to get a BFN like I did, then to get a BFP like you and then go through all that you did. I have heard that you can have a pregnancy outside the female reproductive tract, but of course it is super rare. I just feel bad you also had to have the painful surgery and then that you have to wait so long to TTC again. What is getting me through my BFN is knowing I get to give it a go again with my frosties. I am so inpatient (you can ask my husband), so am so grateful I don't have to wait, and can dive right in. Your spirit really is wonderful and so much stronger than most women. You should be really proud of yourself.
Hang in there and recover quickly. Remember not to overdo anything so you don't hurt yourself, OK. Take it easy. Well lots of love to all of you and lots of baby dust as well
Melanie
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for ALL the warm welcome and info! I POAS today and BFN, so just sitting around waiting for AF to arrive, too- like you others.
Is anyone on here going through secondary IF? Just curious because that's where we are at, DS is 6 1/2 years old, so if God is willing, he'll be a GREAT help with a baby
Anyhoo, I'll post with more info as I get through this second round of IUI. I told my mom this morning to talk to her churchy girlfriends to begin to spread the word that we would consider adopting and would be willing to sit down with a girl and her parents just to talk. I guess I'm just alright with opening that window and not leaving it closed anymore.
Melanie, that is so awesome that you get to start right away!! I'm Impatient to and I'd probably go crazy if I had to wait a cycle . 4/12 will be here before you know it
AFM, I had my stim day 11 u/s & b/w this morning. RE said based on my scan I'm triggering TONIGHT!! Yaay!! She said it would only change if something was drastically off with my b/w. She'll call this afternoon with those results. I pray everything is in order becasue I'm COMPLETELY out of meds! She said a pharmacy down the street from the clinic sometimes carries spares. It would be a HUGE inconvenience to have to drive all the way back though (45 mins). Anyway, I'm hoping for the best

Hi guys! Thanks for the book suggestions. I ordered a few from amazon.com this weekend and they should be arriving tonight.
I'm planning on taking as little time off from work as possible. I think it will be better to stay busy, plus we have a paid time off system instead of sick time and vacation time, so I want to save as much as possible to use as vacation
Today we begin the round of antibiotics and I am scheduled to start Lupron on 4/2. This puts my suppression check on 4/13 or 4/14 and if all keeps going well, ER will be sometime the week of 4/27.
We do the drug orders from a mail-order pharmacy that ships overnight. If I need the Lupron on a Thursday, should I order next Monday and get it Tuesday? Or go ahead and get everything at the end of this week and just have it a week in advance???
statsgoddes, I got my meds about 3 days in advance. If I were you I would go ahead and order as early as I could in case there are any mix ups. However, some meds only have a 30 day shelf life so you may want to hold off on some. For instance, I was told PIO only had a 30 day shelf life and if I would have ordered it when I ordered the other meds, I'd be throwing it away around the time that I needed it! Which reminds me, I need to order that today My mail-order pharmacy told me I could just order the PIO the day before I needed it but I'm too scared something would happen and it wouldn't get here on time.

First, thank you all for the nice comments about keeping everyone organized. I just find myself on here way too much and since I am on so much, it m akes sense for me to keep the list. I never really considered myself a "threadmaster" per say, but I do enjoy keeping everyone up to date. Without a list, I think we would all be lost.
statsgoddess- what books did you end up ordering? Even though I already have agood one at home, I was thinking about getting another to keep me busy. Ya know, for the longest time I have considered trying to assemble a book for ivf'ers, almost like a chicken soup for the ivf soul, with stories from willing participants. Wouldn;t that be a good book to have during this time?
Our cycles will be close together, if I stay on track, my ER will be around 4/21.
cymplicity- yeah for trigger! So that means ER on Thursday right? Let us know when you get the official word.
ianmichael- so sorry about another bfn on hpt. Like others have said, if af doesn't show in a couple days, try again. I am going through a secondary ivf, if by that you mean I already have a child. My dd was born this past august, she is almost 7 months old and is an ivf baby...so our first try was successful. We decided with the possibility of delays and failure, we don;t want to wait to try again, so here we are.
melanie- I am so glad you get to try again so quickly. You said fet around 3/12, but I am guessing you meant 4/12? I do hope it works for you this time, and I agree how many and on what day is hard, I am glad my RE kinda makes that decision for us. It is kinda understood that we will transfer 2, and I personally would not want to ever transfer 1. And RE decides what day to transfer depending on number and quality.
dys- thanks for the beauitful flowers! I hope my bp gets sorted out too, I am just sitting here waiting for phone calls. Hope your stimming is still going well.
hjw- thanks for the calming vibes. I hope they work. I swear, I have "white coat syndrome" where my bp only goes up in the office. When I got home it was fine, so I will see what they say. I take it twice a day at home and the machine is hooked up to my computer, so it records it. I could even fax them a report if they want, I really think they are making too big a deal about it, they didn';t seem to care last time.
tabatha- yay for trigger for you too! How exciting, sounds like you have a lot of good eggies in there!
ok, I will update you all as soon as I have any news, I am going to push pretty hard to start bcp's today, I will only be on them for 2 weeks, and if I get delayed again I am going to be mad! I will repost our list too.
