Hi Ladies! I only have a quick minute to post since I just got back to work from my 2hour OBGYN apt and I have to rush to get my classes ready for tonight!!! Everything looked great!! Saw baby Flick and the DR answered a lot of questions and since she knows of my situation (she also sees both of my SIL) she is having me come back in 2 weeks instead of 4 which would be 12 weeks so I'm very excited I get a scan next week with my RE and a scan with OBGYN the week after!!! I then have my N/T scan between week 11-13 so I feel very fortunate that all my doctors are being so understanding to my nervousness and I get to see baby flick a lot more times!!

I was told no highlighting the hair until after week 12  but I will sacrafice my vanity for a few more weeks!!! Oh, I also ordered 3 belly bands on ebay for like $14 bucks!! I will let you know how they are when I get them in a few days!!!

love to everyone-

I will also try and upload my pics tomorrow on photobucket and paste the picture of my belly!!! Although I'm not too excited about being the first to post a belly pic!!! haha

Hello Ladies – I hope you don’t mind me joining your thread!

I guess we have decided to combine two threads, so I thought I would come over here and introduce myself. My name is Angela and my due date so far is December 22. I will have my first u/s next Thursday. This is my third IVF cycle; my first cycle resulted in a BFP but I lost my daughter at 21 weeks in 2008; my FET was a BFN in May 2009, and now this cycle w/ a BFP ... finally! I look forward to getting to know you ladies over the next few months and I believe I know a lot of you ladies already from other posts and cycle buddies.

Claudia Ooooh, you lucky, lucky girl getting all those extra u/s!! I'm a little jealous... No, just kidding I'm so happy for you!
Yep, Lou and her killer bikini - ready body wants us all to post our belly pics! I will, but I'm telling you all I am NOT bikini-ready!

Angela - Welcome! to the land of the soon to be expanding bellies! I've followed your story on the cycling thread. I can only imagine what you went through losing Ashley. I'm so sorry. But I have to believe that you now have your own Angel smiling down on you and your belly. I was so happy to see that your beta rose nicely, even though I know you must have been stressing hard! But they did and now you'll be having a Christmas baby!! It doesnt get any better than that! How exciting!!!

WOW, everyone really got chatty today! lol

Helene - Welcome!! Lots of talkers in here so you will always have something to read every day. :) Your next u/s is a few days before mine. I hope you post pics of your little bean! I seriously have to upgrade mine. I don't have any pics since they were little blobs and now you can tell they are little human beings. I am still amazed. :D

Katie - Yeah, not a bikini bod here either. Not since after DD and before IVF. lol I think my belly looks huge, but I guess that's because I had babies before. Gaining 2 pounds with a belly measuring 18 weeks isn't bad right? What do the books say? lol I have nothing but Google to rely on. At least by him saying they look similar to you both, it must mean that hair and eye color are similar right?? As far as health, I suppose that if anything (god forbid) happen, you will be given the information? All I know, is that knowing simple little things isn't violating anything and I will offer that info when donating my embies. DH and I are both blonde hair blue eyes so it's like 99% that the babies will be the same. I am short and he is tall though... wonder how that will turn out for our little ones? lol He keeps telling me "Ford babies are all big" and trying to scare the crap out of me since I have two in there. The house does feel like home! It just isn't put all together yet. We have been focusing on getting the other place ready for inspection. We had a pre-inspection today and we weren't done but got a thumbs up.. just have a few things to finish up which we planned on doing. No worries though... I didn't do much at all. All I did was pressure wash the porches and the washer is very light. Moving back and forth hurt my wrist a bit, but it was nothing, got better right away after I was done. :)

Angela - Welcome and congrats on your BFP!!! I am due November 4th but dount I will make it that far. As long as I make it far enough I will be happy! My birthday is October 12th so some think I might get a birthday present. I would prefer closer to a Halloween surprise! :)

Claudia - You and your luck getting u/s! lol I had to go to the ER to get two of mine, though one was a real emergency. Other than the ER visits, I had one with my RE and one with a tech to make sure I wasn't miscarrying... that's when I found out I was having twins and got the pic in my siggy. :) Waiting from 7 weeks to 11w4d was torturous! I was so worried, but after what I have seen, my nerves are much more calm. I know exactly what you are feeling, wanting to know all the time how things are and see it as proof! I think during the 1st tri it is all we think about is "proof" since we can't feel them in there or see them or see a big ole belly bump. Come 2nd tri it becomes so much more real, but of course by the 3rd we will all be big and miserable... but very happy!! I scheduled my hair appt right before transfer and then scheduled my repeat for three months later. I thought I was being safe, but turned out if we can't color before the 3rd month, then I was also clever. ;) I could use a touch up now, but I can wait till May 4th... at least I think that is when my hair appt is. lol

Lou - I totally agree on not sharing the IVF. It is personal and creates too many questions when people know. They always want to know what's wrong with you or your DH. Even if you do share about IVF, what the issues are, are without a doubt no one's business. I see it best just not to share.. anymore that is. I did share as you might remember reading with my neighbor and that turned out to be a disaster. I learned my lesson. I am in a new neighborhood and no one has to know! lol

Malya - To post pics you have to get a photobucket account. Upload a picture there and go back to your home page. Under the picture will be codes. You want to copy the IMG code and paste it to your post. You can also EDIT your picture to make it smaller if it is huge and make it itty bitty like mine in my siggy, then copy and paste it. :) I hope this helps! Don't worry if it is really big though... all the better for us to see your little peanut! :)

Boots - Welcome! Glad we are all in one place now! It will be easier to chit chat now! Lots of sonos happening next week! I think the thread will be full of pics!

Gi - The unpacking is going very slow. I have organized the kitchen a bit. It looks normal anyway, I still have to rearrange where the movers put all the pots and pans and other things. We mostly have been focusing on getting the other place from under our hair. Monday we won't have to worry about it anymore and can focus on putting this house together. Lots to do, but it should get done in a decent time.. or so I hope! I don't like it in Texas much, but I hope we get to stay here for a little while. I don't want to have to move the babies too early!

Babyluv - How are your other babies adjusting to the pregnancy? Do they understand what's going on yet? That's great that you adopted! You get the best of both worlds!

Hi everyone! I'm a little bit nervous about joining in before my ultrasound on the 30th...but I believe in the power of positive thinking...so here I am. :D

I expect to be told that I am due around Dec 21...but because my uterus was cut vertically in my c-section 2 yrs ago...I will have no choice but to deliver no later than 36 weeks. I just hope that I do make it to Thanksgiving...because DS came at 35 weeks due to low amniotic fluid. So far I am feeling pretty good...no morning sickness or anything...just like with Zach...knock on wood. I just totally jinxed myself, didnt I? Ok, so I take it back...I never said that. I do have strep throat as some of you know, but am feeling much better already.

My last beta (last Monday at 14dp5dt) was a 524. The exact number I got with Zachary at 14dp3dt ...2 yrs ago. Talk about very odd and kinda cool. My nurse thought it was really cool, too. So I go this Monday the 26th for another beta, then ultrasound at the RE's on Friday the 30th, and my 1st OB appt will be on Monday, May 3rd.

Weird question. Does anyone else have to remind themselves that they are pregnant? I sometimes forget and almost pick up my son...and am like, "Oh yeah!" It is such a surreal feeling. My DH actually said the same thing...that he keeps forgetting. I think part of the reason is that doing a FET like we did...and only having seen the RE 2xs total during this cycle and not being on soooo many drugs this time...makes it feel a little more less real than it did the 1st IVF. Does that make sense? lol

Time for me to go read and catch up with everyone now. :D

Tammy, Ryan and Helene,

Welcome! I am glad to have you here! Tammy, just wanted to let you know, yes even though m/s is really bad for me, I still find myself lifting things and doing things I probably shouldn't. Its not intentional, I am just used to doing them.

afm, FREAKING OUT TODAY!!!!!!!!! Found out at lunch time yesterday that my oldest DD has been exposed to Fifth's Disease (there are 3 kids confirmed in her pre-school class with Fifth's). I know Fifth's can be really bad for the fetus.......I called OB nurses and left message yesterday, they never even bothered to call me back. So I called and talked to receptionist and she said just to make sure I let the OB know today I have been exposed. They will do bloodwork to see if I test positive, nothing they can do if I do, other than monitor the baby closely. Of course my appt is not until 2:30 pm, so I am sure the blood results will not be available until Monday. From what I read, its just a wait and see game.

Claudia -- Yay for extra scans! it's always nice and comforting to see what's going on in there. Don't worry... you won't be the only one with belly pics up... mine are going up tomorrow. What kind of belly bands did you buy? I tried searching them and seems there's many types.

Helene -- One bean sounds perfect to me! Congrats! BTW-- Nov 28th is a great day... it's my birthday too!

Steph -- Really? You've only gained 2 lbs and you've got twins in there??? OMG... I'm gonna be huge...lol... I've gained 4 already!

Katie -- Oh lordy, what a fiasco with your DH's traffic ticket! Craving meat and cheese huh? I've only been craving chocolate and ice cream. Holy cow, $30K is a lot of money. I had no idea a domestic adoption cost that much. Where does all that money go? I'll get my belly pics up tomorrow as I am at work now. I've gained 4 lbs already so this tummy is NOT "bikini ready". But I do like to look at it in the mirror and "admire" my pooch...lol.

Angela -- Welcome and congrats! A Christmas baby!! How special.

TammyS-- Welcome! And yes, I spent several weeks in total denial that I was pregnant and even made a few trips to the dollar store to get HPT's just to confirm. I didn't and still don't feel any different. Just a bit tired at times.

Ronda -- Fifth's Disease, YIKES!!! I'm crossing my fingers that you will test negative. I believe you and baby will be fine. Is your daughter being tested?

Dr Boots (Ryan)-- Hooray for no m/s! I haven't had any either. Let's hope that continues for both of us!!!

AFM -- Weighed myself this morning. Gained 4 lbs so far. Let's not mention the 5 lbs I gained cycling. So really I'm up 9 lbs. I'll get some pics up tomorrow of my tummy. I've taken a few along the way so I'll share my progress with everyone. I'm at work, so I must get back to it. Tonight is my last night of working two jobs too. I hope I can make it til midnight... ugh!

Lou - Yes only 2 pounds, but lets not forget my 30 lb gain during 3 cycles!!! lol So I am really up 32. Because of the previous weight gain, I am scared to gain too much. I am going to be a blimp!! I feel like one already actually. They do say that women who are already overweight don't have to gain as much as a fit pregnant woman, but I know they will want me to gain at least 25-30 with twins. UGH!! If I had a singleton, they would only want me to gain 15-20. I only gained 15 with DD 11 years ago, but I wasn't eating right either. I was young and knew nothing and had some eating issues back in the day. I have to do what is best for the twins and if I have to gain, I will. I just hope my body can burn the fat I have and the weight I gain is nothing but babies!

Ronda - I have my fingers crossed that the baby will be just fine! I have never heard of this, but what is the process now? Do you have to wear a mask around her, sanitize everything, wear gloves to touch her? Has anyone told you how to care for her and protect the baby at the same time?

Tammy - Welcome! Glad you joined, I think every one of us wasn't sure on when to join the pg thread because of being scared. I know that there are some that were more then pround of it.. like Lou! lol I think I remember she joined while still only 4 weeks right after her positive beta! It was a great positive move! To answer your question, YES! I am preggers with twins and got a belly bump the size of an 18 week singleton and I still have to remind myself at times. I will even have to push on my belly periodically just to feel the bump. It's like I am afraid it went away or something. lol I know what you mean about the difference in cycles. I only saw my RE twice too. Once to check my lining and the 2nd to do the transfer then didn't see him again until my u/s. Quite different but kind of nice too.

Well, I am finally on .25 of PIO so by next Thursday I will be completely off. About friggen time! lol I am having some issues lately with stretching though. My uterus doesn't seem to want to bend with me at times and sneezing really hurts anymore. Feels like I am pulling a ligament or something. I am always holding my belly now when I cough or sneeze to try to help it. Well, as far as the house, we got a lot of unpacking done last night. Not much left in the house now, but there is a lot they threw in storage that doesn't belong there so there is still a lot of work to do. After all the unpacking we can finally hang the decor. That's always fun. Soon this place will not just feel like home, it will look like one.

Hey Steph, I am packing right now to move on May 15 or so. I do have to lift boxes too but they are NOT heavy just toys. But that's only one room dones or almost done :)

About the stretching, you know even though it's painful and it feels like it's ripping it's ok. I only felt that in my last pg not sure if it was cause I was careful what I was eating and how much I was gaining but it was all ok in the end. Back then I was in the beginning of overweight in the BMI chart so I was allowed to gain .5 lbs each week starting in the second trimester. This time cause I am in the "normal" far range I can gain 1 lbs a week starting on the second trimester. I will try and NOT pass that like my last pg. My OB was so proud of me not gaining too much. Actually I am being careful as of now just making sure I stay in the "normal" ranges and not get to the other sides still. I am short so it's really hard :)

Hi everyone -

How are you all feeling today? i think that my fatigue may be starting to lift, i 'm starting to feel more energy again, so I'm thrilled for that. I was just waiting to finish the first trimester and just kept reading the pg books and they both said that you'll feel more like yourself soon - so yippee for that. But now I've got loads of spring cleaning to do that I've was putting off these few weeks. I swear I dont understand how 2 dogs with such short fur can create so much shedding!

Ronda Yikes! I'm sure that was some info that you could have lived without! If you have the book "What to expect when yoou're expecting" Fifth's disease is on pg 503, and says that 50% of women were exposed to this as a child and should now be immune to it. It also said that that at worst it can cause anemia, so whew! if you had to be exposed to something at least it is easily treatable. Fingers crossed for your results on Monday.

Helene Welcome! Good to see you again. I added you to our list and you have the same EDD as Claudia :D Here thats on Thanksgiving weekend
(just in time for turkey!) but if I'm correct in Canada you celebrate thanksgiving at a different time? How are you feeling?

Steph Hooray for the countdown to no more PIO! I was soooo happy to have my last injection - but now I'm eager to be done with the crinone too. Now hopefully my P4 will cooperate this next b/w! Tell your DH its not funny to scare you thats theres 2 in there, its not fun to stress them getting out of there so early - we have plenty of time to fear that later. I personally dont even want to think about it yet. But I do know that my whole personality changes when I'm in pain I can only imagine how much fun i'll be on the delivery day  You just take it easy putting the last of the house together, some things can wait til DH can lift them.

Ryan Oh, I love that name! Your OB will confirm your EDD - bet you cant wait for that, right? I used the ivf.ca calculator and it was dead on when my RE confirmed the EDD - although i think that it doesnt really matter too much, babies come when they are ready, not when the calendar says they should  I'm in NY too, about 1 hr north of nhc in orange county.

Tammy Welcome! Wow, that is weird to have the same beta numbers for Zach and this bean. BTW - Zach? love that name! I'll put dec 21 as your EDD until your OB gives you a different date - I guess no Christmas baby then. Yup, it makes sense to me, it actually still feels surreal to believe that I'm finally pregnant! gee and it only took 7 attempts and donor embies - sigh. i have a funny feeling that some of us just wont really believe until the delivery day!

Lou From what I've read on other sites, the 30k for adoption is eaten up between attorney's fees, agency's fees, home study. ugh who would have thought? OK, miss bikini girl - i'll take your 9 lbs any day over the 30 lbs I put on cycling back to back from June to Feb. Of course though, you put the work in at the gym and my lazy a** does not. Yippeee for being the last day of working 2 jobs - you poor girl, you must be wiped out.

Gi How is my favorite Irish rose doing?

Claudia Hi! Are you still buried in at work?

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo
