Hi there

Well back from the IVIG and scan - all looking good apparently so just waiting for a phone call to see if I have the trigger tonight or tomorrow.

I met some lovely girls today and it made the whole thing pass relatively quickly which was a blessing.

Hope that everyone is ok.

Love and hugs to all.

Hi Caroline .. my AF's been 3 days late each time, when waiting to start stimming.

Heather .. Thanks for your post. Yep .. will get some PMA together soon and get the ball rolling ! My monitoring sounds very similar to yours, however I have NEVER had a follow up meeting (2 fresh and one FET) ..!!

My daily "me moment" update

The hospital have phoned and I'm doing the trigger injection tonight so EC is scheduled for Sunday morning. I'm taking Pregnyl - apparently that's the one in the buttom - is that correct?

Well, if I wasn't nervous before I certainly am now!!!

Anyway, I hope that you are all well and doing ok.

Take care

Good luck for sunday everything sounds as if it has gone really well so you have every reason to feel positive.Enjoy the 'day off' tommorow (no clinic visits) and do something nice with DH to spoil yourselves.

Hi LP ... My Pregnyl was in the tum too, but I'm sure it doesn't really matter - each clinic has their own own way, as with everything ...

Don't be nervous LP .. be Excited !!! I'm excited for you !!

I have more questions for girls.

Little P, How do they know if you have killer cells? It isn't somehting my Dr. ever mentioned. Is it something you can develop or you just have it? Do you feel ok after your treatment & is this something that will work for your future pregnancies?

Caroline, I thought the Dr should have done a day 3 transfer too & didn't even know day 2 was an option especially since I only had 3 embies at day 3 but my Dr. said he is one of 12 clinics in the US that focuses on day 5 transfers because the scientific studies have proven that the embryos will arrest either way if they are going to arrest & that the chances are better at a day 5 for implantation. This did not make me feel any better & I haven't seen the studies anywhere that have shown that. I think that is why I'm am more stressed this time. I didn't realize how invested I was until I got the call that there were no embies to transfer.

Heather, why wouldn't I have any downregging test? I went straight from bc pills then stopped the pills then af then gonal f?
Thanks,

NK cells are something we all have, only my levels are too high which means they treat an embryo as a foreign body and kill it off. This treatment is to hopefully combat that and allow my body to sustain a pregnancy. There are several of us here who have tested positive for this. I was referred to my current hospital because they thought this might be the issue. I have a history of m/c and excellent embryos which is why they were concerned.

There are no guarantees that I will have success, but it has taken us a step further into finding out what our infertility issues are. I'm just trying to stay full of PMA at all times.

How did the EC go?

Hey L.P great news, nearly there. This is going to be a llllllloooooooonnnnnggggggg Saturday  hope it is sunny for you x
I had my Pregynl in my tummy, my DH did it, it is different to all the other injections and it didn't help that DH bent the needle before he put it in my tummy!!!! It was fine though, just took a bit more skill !

I have my scan on Sunday 9.40 a.m we could be on the bed together lol!!!

Good luck to everyone else x

Wow! It's all going so quickly!! My pregnyl went in my thigh. You are probably getting ready to do it right now???!! Good luck

All

Hi, hope oyu are all ok.

Pixiesmom

Don't worry about what everyone is doing. That is it, we are ALL different. Just remember that your clinic will have made dreams come true for lots of couples and know what they are doing. The best clinic is the one you have got! I did get worried comparing diets/experiance so I know how you feel. My clinic has a very good reputation and doesnt do many scans/bloods or offer diet/lifestyle advice. GOod luck sweetie!

Hey Ladies

LittleP, glad to hear the IVIG wasn't too awful. Time does tend to pass more quickly when you have people to talk to so it is great that you met some other wonderful ladies. I did my pregnyl shot in the tummy also but I guess it doesn't matter as long as it gets to where it needs to go!

Sand, I think the PMA is on the way up again. You sound much brighter already! :D I am sure withdrawal from the drugs effects energy levels and state of mind. I felt fine immediately after my BFN but then felt revolting for several weeks following. IVF sucks. I am not sure that my clinic do follow-ups either, it is probably more like a first appointment for the next treatment!

Pixiesmom, your posts suggest that you are doing a short protocol. In this case they are working more with your natural cycle and would not need to test hormone levels prior to stimming. I assume they will be monitoring your LH levels during the stimming to avoid ovulation. I wish my clinic worked like that! I also wish my clinic did day 5 transfers. Many embryos won't make it to blast stage so you know that they are putting back the pick of the bunch. My clinic do 2 or 3 day transfers so you really have little idea about the quality of the embryos that are being replaced.

Jamato, welcome back. Glad to hear that everything is on track. EC seems to have come around really quickly. Hope you are doing ok.

Caroline, I hope AF shows up soon. I can't help with AF timing as my protocol doesn't allow for AF at all.....all the drugs cross over in their timing. I am sure I have read that others have had delayed AF due to the downregging drugs. Hang in there, I am sure she will show up soon. Try wearing nothing but white trousers, generally works for me!

Have a great weekend and Happy Queen's Birthday (I can't believe that we get a public holiday for this and you guys don't....go figure!)

Hi there girls

Firstly thank you so much for all your kind words.

I didn't hear back from the hospital so in the end DH and I read the instructions and there was this very pretty picture of an injection area on the bum - so that's where we did it.

If it's wrong, then show over I guess!!!

Feeling very tired now, but relieved that tomorrow no visits to London and no more injections (well, at least I think that's what she said  - I seem to have no memory at all at the moment :!: )

I hope that you are all well and looking forward to the weekend - let's hope this lovely weather decides to hang around for a while.

Thanks again for your wonderful support, you've really helped me keep on top of all this.

Love and hugs to you all

Little P

LittleP - Good luck for Sunday! I hope everything goes perfectly for you & DH. Don't worry too much about where you put the injection - the only real difference is how fast it is absorbed by the body (quicker in bum & slower in tum - but the end result is the same).

Will be thinking of you over the weekend.
