Heh Ladies

JAG update!
I am back in the town where the clinic is. We drove down last night. I had my scan this morning - boy I was sore afterwards! I Have 24 follies ranging from 20mm to 8 mm and smaller. Most up above the 14 mark with my lining at 10. They will test my blood again tom and then trigger will be Wed night for collection Friday morning eeeeekkk nearly there!

Did anyone else feel really, really tired? I feel exhausted I even shut my eyes in the waiting rm for ultrasound! Thank god I don't snore! Still very bloated, but I guess its to be expected with all those follies.

Ange - I am with you on the forgetfullness -I forgot I had my scan this morning - I thought it was yesterday - Hows that for ditsy!!

Debbie - keep up the PMA plleeeeeeassee it will be fine!

Staci - your clinic sound great! Fingers crossed your lining grows.

Clair good luck with your scan I am thinking of you!

Dancola, Hemberson, Sharon, Jodi - how did the transfers go? I am thinking of you and sending you lots of cyber hugs and positive thoughts.

To everyone else - I hope you have a good week. I can't wait to hear how you are all doing.

Must fly now - I need to pick dh up from the office he is working out of this week. At least I can leave these backpackers to it.

Take care

Hello Girlfriends,

Boy oh boy!... These meds i've been taking for tmts sure do make me become - Forgetful, Bloated, Nauseous, Crampy & Tired  .

However so, I do feel crazy cheerful & chirpy :!: in the Mornings!....
YES, believe you me  .... I'm a burst of Sunshine when i get up...that is, of coz until the woozyness & sore sets in the afternoon, then i become a  ....heehehehehe..... LUCKY for my stash of chocolate bars to keep my psychotic self at bay from the rest of my household....

So, with all the ravaging side-effects of these tmts that we BOLDLY and WILLINGLY project ourselves into, LET'S GIVE OURSELVES A GOOD PAT IN THE BACK  .....

POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE,
Chanteq :P

Hey jag ! Hey Ladies!

I had my transfer on Sunday. They transfered two embreyo's they said becasue I'm so young 27 not that young :) Everything went perfect so far. They gave me two grade A embreyo's now I'm on my 2ww. I am sooo nervous. Everything has been perfect so far now I'm like ok, when do they attach, what are they doing down there, are they still there? if I lay on my side, will they not attach, I mean it's crazy. I don't have any symptons either but a stomach full of gas hahah lololol. I don't want to push to hard, I didn't even want to use the bathroom hahah lolo crazy right. Man I know how everyone feels. They say they normally look for somewhere to attach on day five which would be today. All I can do is keep praying like I"m sure everyone else is. I feel like I'm going to come on my period, but the nurse told me I will absolutely not come on my period that's what the medications are doing. My test date is August 29th. Two whole weeks, Good Lord :) that's a long long time. I'm going to try and focus on something else. Good luck to everyone it will soon be over, just keep the faith, I need to tell myself that too. :)

Hello All,
Seems like there is lots of PMA around so lets keep it that way. I'm feeling on top of the world today as I've just been offered a job that I had an interview for last week. I know it is a crazy time to change jobs but I may be made redundant in a few months so this way it's on my terms. Don't think my new employers will be too happy if I start my new job then go on maternity leave, but who cares today :D :D
Just hoping that all of this positive energy continues for the next few days. I'm thinking that if I get past tomorrow without af showing then I'm in with a chance. Keeping everything crossed.
Keep up the PMA girls

Love

Congrats on the new job Debbie.

Too many others to name check but hope everyone is doing OK. I had ET yesterday but will opt out (Sand if you see this) of the test dates thread. I fly to Italy on Friday and won't be back until the Tues after Bank Holiday, with no internet access meanwhile. So not around to post results etc. I'm sort of superstitious and don't like to see a ? hanging around on the test dates thread as I always assume it's some poor soul who had a -ve and is too gutted to post, so would rather not imagine a ? against my name! DH has been incredibly superstitious this time around - he made me take a new holdall to the hospital complete with new dressing gown etc. Didn't come to ET with me either (came later to take me home) on the basis that he came last time and it didn't work!!

ET went well - we had 9 blastos to choose from (as opposed to the usual 2) so had 2 grade 1s transferred, one of which had started hatching. 7 blastos frozen so at least I have a backup if this doesn't work.

Sharon - after my EC (25 eggs) I was convinced I was suffering from medium OHSS as I was vomiting etc the first day. Kept on drinking the water and after 3 days the pain had subsided. Feeling pretty ok now, taking today off and then back to work tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

Hello Everyone

Post by Babysoft »

Hello Everyone..I haven't started IVF and may not have too, but after reading all of your threads and seeing how supportive you are of one another, I decided to post a message here just saying

U ARE GREAT WOMEN :D

Well a little about myself..I'm 28 and have been ttc 4 years now. My dh is 29. I was seeing a infertility specialist for over 2 1/2 years and he barely gave me any answers. I felt like a science project..I think he specialized in trial & error! It has been an emotionally draining roller-coaster for me and now I finally feel like the ride is over. About a week ago I decided to switch doctors and go to a highly recommended ER...I'm so happy with the results! I received good and bad news..I found out my cervix is completely closed (no clear reasoning), but this is the cause of my infertility! I've never been so happy about bad news before! The reason I'm happy is because it is a simple procedure that takes less than 1/2 hour to reopen my cervix! I'm just so happy not to hear someone tell me I have "unexplained" infertility..everytime I heard that I wanted to say..go ahead attempt to explain it..I have a lot of time!
So now I just have to wait for my cycle...unlike everyone on this thread I am so wanting it to come, so I can get started. So for all the women who don't want AF...throw her my way...I'll take them all!

Anyway best of luck to all of you and I hope everyone gets BFP's!

Hi All

Good luck on your 2WW Nicola and Tonya get plenty of rest sending you loads of PMA.

Sharon = How are you doing?

Debbie - CONGRATULATIONS on your new job. Let's hope for a double celebration :D

Way to go Jag 24 follies no wonder you are bloated!!!

Staci - How are you?

Chanteq- You are so positive and it's rubbing off on all of us!! :D

Had 2nd scan today. My lining is 6.1 , there are 5 follies in left ovary(amazed considering most of it was taken away!) and 7 follies in right, one at 13mm and two at 12mm rest between 8-11mm. With my FSH being so high i'm quite pleased so are clinic. Next scan on friday and then depending on how follies are growing EC will be 22nd or 24th. I can't wait!!!!!!

Hello to everyone else who I haven't mentioned especially to the "Scan clan" this week. Good luck all.

Hi Girls

i am back after a long weekend recooperation getting my emotions and thoughts back into a postive flow. (My 1st IVF cycle was cancelled friday after no follicle growth.) I have been scanning through the 3 pages of messages to catch up and wanted to ak you guys about a few things.

CLAIR55 you mentioned high FSH, and that triggered off a memoryin me.
something the nurse said to me on friday 'before you started IVF your baseline FSH was 17 this was high'. What does this mean? :?: :?: :?:

I didn't get to ask her so much emotion going on ...she then began to discuss what might happen on the next cycle. Where they will NOT down reg me the same way ( 1 inj of triptorelin for 4wks down reg) but work on my normal cycle with ov stimi meds. This I understand okay. but i have to wait for a normal AF then they will work on the next 1...
so :?:

Approx how long will it be before AF comes?
( AM not asking you lot to be clairvoiant here    ,......just anyone else been through similar time there feedback would be most helpful.) My normal cycle 28 days and the down reg drug was due for a top up 14th Aug (sunday).

Thanks Girls P M A to you all.
]Thank you for letting me into your lives. it's helpful to see you guys further along doing so well. lots a love Jen xxx

Hi everyone (no I'm not an August buddy, I just wanted to butt in on a few things).

Nicola, I'll PM Sandra for you re. the test dates thread. She's back tomorrow but this way she'll know for sure. Congrats on ET, enjoy your time away. I didn't know you could have blasts frozen, shows how much I know!!

Jeni. Sorry your tmt was cancelled. I'm slightly amazed your clinic let you start tmt with FSH of 17. Many clinics (mine incl.) want 10 or less before giving the green light to start. I had 14.4 in January and was delayed until it dropped below 10 (luckily in Feb it was 8.9). I think some clinics operate on 15 or under. Quoting from the lovely Zita West:

Less than 6 = Excellent. Very reassuring level.
6 - 8 = Normal. Expect good response to stimulation.
8-10 = Fair. Response between normal and slightly reduced (will vary)
10-12 = Lower than normal ovarian reserve. Reduced response likely. Reduction in egg + embryo quality with IVF. Reduced live birth rates.
12-17 = Generally indicates a more marked reduction in response to stims and further reduction in egg and embryo quality with IVF. Low live birth rates.
17+ = Very poor or no response to stimulation. No live births. 'No go' levels will be determined by the particular lab analysis and IVF centre.

Hi to everyone else. Good luck
hugs
Debra.
