Hi everyone,
Just a quick note today. I'm still feeling the valium I took this a.m. for my ET so I don't have much energy. Good thing the superbowl's on or else DH would be bored!
Well, of our 11 eggs, only 5 fertilized, and 4 made it three days to biopsy for our PGD. 3/4 came back free of disease so we put them all back in. Two of them aren't very good quality and are not likely to survive, but I thought, what the heck? Otherwise they'd just get thrown out and in me there can always be a miracle. The other one looked good, so we're really hoping for that one. We have our pregnancy test on 2/13 so either we'll be celebrating on Valentine's day or I'll finally get to have some wine that night. I'm hoping for the former! Here's the update:

- Heather, Starts inj 31st Jan, 1st scan 14th Feb
- Lynne - 5 embies ET Sat 4th Feb
- Sue-e - FET Feb(hopefully)as long as ovulation not Wed,Thur or Fri !!!!

- Alison - ET 10th Jan
- Angela - 9 embies, ET Thurs 2nd Feb
- kendra's mom - 1 embie snuggling in, test date Feb 11th
- Kelly - pregnancy test feb 13th

- Cla - BFP (tentative!) Bloods on Wed 8th Feb

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll write more when my brain is less foggy.

Charlie - Hoping those follies catch up, Lynne ended up with only a few at the beginning and then ended up with a good bunch of eggs (over 10).

Macca - try not to worry too much as different clinics do operate differently, but remember you are in good hands they have done this treatment thousands of times before. Good luck

Kendra's mum - good look, wishing you a BFP

sophie - so do you plan on using the name Souris? Wishing you all the best. Hope the visit with your mum goes well and you get lots of pampering.

Cla- thinking of you and hope you get the best results ever.

Sorry if i have missed anyone, could only see the last few posts.

good luck, to the ladies with BFP, hoping the scans bring fab news

love

Hi guys

Charlie, hope those follies are multiplying and growing!

Kelly, well done with the embies, finger crossed and hope your 2ww will go smoothly!!

Anna, I was on a short protocol for my last cycle and I had scans and blood work everyday! This time I was on a long protocol and i went for bloodwork and scan only twice  ! So i dont really understand...

And a big thank to all of you girls for your support...you are the best!

Tomorrow is my EC, have to get up at 5 to be at the clinic at 7H30, and should be back home in the evening. I am hoping for less pain than last time, but all i am praying for is quality eggies!!

I'll catch up with you girls in a couple of days!

Big hug

Afternoon all!

Lisa - I hate that there are different protocols at different clinics, as it makes you think you're missing out on something. I didn't have to go that much either - take it as a good sign - things are obviously progressing as they want or they'd ask to see you more!
Charlie - Hope your scan today shows a "spurt" like Souris's did!!!
Gina - Good luck with the test on 11th!
Tracii - Good luck with the baseline scan tomorrow!
Amanda - how can the doc say that he would have liked more than 9 follies. Take no notice - it's a fab number!
kelly - great to hear they transferred 3 that were free from disease. Good luck for the 13th!
Sue e - Here's hoping ovulation will be put on hold for a couple of days!!!
Souris - Good luck with EC tomorrow!
Anna - spent the weekend watching sport mainly - am a footie fan so Sunday afternoon was spent in front of sky Sports!!! Will start jigging for you!!

As for me, well I did an hpt on sunday and it was negative. Purposely didn't buy one of those super sensitive digital ones as I wanted to do a couple and compare the darkness of the lines. But there weren't any. I don't have the greatest record with pee on sticks though (half the time they don't work) so I'll just wait not until Weds and see what the clinic say. The fat lady doesn't sing till then!!!!

Thanks for all your messages!

Hi all,
just wanted to pop in and say good luck to Souris for tomorrow and Cla, I hope everything has got clearer by Wed. A faint positive is great. Hang on in there.
I had ET on Sat which went smoothly. I've been on bed rest since then, but am starting to go up the wall. Thankfully I kept lots of work to do in bed, so today I've got through that. Tomorrow I am working half day, but Wed it's back to the 12 hour slog! I can't wait.
Good luck all.

Thanks for all your kind words, but unfortunatly i had my scan and i still only have 5, but they still refuse to put up my meds :x looks like EC will be put back to next mon, im so angry with my rubbish ovaries and the staff, i know they are trying to keep me safe but this is our only chance as we cant afford 7000 to try again, so i thought that being young i would have some to freeze and use later.
And after that i came home from work and the woman who lives next door crashes into my car and one of my cats s**t all over the dvd player,
how bad can this day get.

Anyway enough of me moaning on how is every one doing?

Good luck and big bags of baby dust to all.

Come on feb girls lets make this a month full of BFP!!!

Hi Charlie

Sounds like you have had an awful time!

Chin up it can only get better!!!!

1 question did you say your cycle is costing £7000?

How come it is so much, here it Oxfordshire it costs around £3,500.

Have you looked in to NHS funded? Maybe get on the list?

Take care

Hi all,

Charlie,
How come it costs so much?? I pay £3148.00 plus approx £250 for drugs. Maybe look at other clinics, even up north maybe.

Cla,
I had a negative HPT on my first ICSI and the next day I had a faint positive which subsequent HPT's got darker every day. The clinic tested and advised biochemical preg. I did miscarry at 8 weeks but that had nothing to do with it. Just one of those things. Just be positive. I reckon it has worked for you.

Anna,
Have you started your treatment yet?? If so, how's it going?

Souris,
Hope all went well today. Good luck with the ET on Thursday.

You will all think I am really sad but I had tarots read and was told destination showed 1 girl and 1 boy closely following. Am I been a sado by been so superstitous and believing that it might be true. When I read my stars on Sunday it said that I would see twins this year. I'm hoping it does mean me and not the fact that I will see my twin nieces in July (they live abroad). I guess we all grap at straws and hold on to any hope. Anyone else as bad as me????

Wow - sounds like ivf is a little more affordable over there! Here (in California, at least) each cycle runs about $8000 plus $4000 for meds, and then we paid an extra $7000 for the PGD. Ugh. And, my husband and I have absolutely no insurance coverage for this. We're out of $$ so this is our last shot. It's gotta work!!! PMA!!!
Journey - hope the scan went well today and you're ready for EC on Thursday.
Charlie77- sounds like you're having a rough time. Hang in there. Those 5 follicles might be filled with beautiful eggs that all fertilize. You may end up with something to freeze in the end, you never know. Chin up, and keep the PMA.
Lynne- you're a day ahead of me. How's your 2ww so far? Mine's okay -- keeping busy at work.
Cla - good luck with your test tomorrow. I hope you get a nice strong positive this time.
Souris - how was EC? I hope you're not in too much pain. Keep us posted about how many they got and how many fertilized!
Sandra - I was on the short cycle and never had blood tests and had US every 2-3 days. Every clinic is just so different!
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all doing well.

Anna, Lynne, Journey, Cal, Lisa, Kelly, Sophie,

Thank you so much for your kind words.
I just came back from the clinic. I am a bit sore but in much less pain than my last cycle.
Unfortunately, out of 13 follies, we got only 5 eggs... I am really scared due to our very low fertilisation rate (last time, 3 embryos out of 11 eggs!!)... I am trying not to give up now, but i dont want to keep my hopes too high...

I will know on Thursday morning...

Thank you very much
i will keep you informed
you such great girls,
bless you all
