Thank you, everybody. I'll try to be very careful with the medication today and take my time. It was really stupid of me to panic and try to get more water. I should've just done the shot with watever I had.
I don't know about time change. I forgot to ask the nurse about it. I'll go with the change and do my shots at the same time as before - 6am. I can't really even think about doing shots at 5 am.

oh, forgot: I had a dream two days ago that I'm in bed after the transfer and I FELT the cramping in my dream...... I guess I'm going crazy..... ha-ha

Hi, I 'm new to the forum. I started my stims on Oct 20, and just had my 2nd ultrasound today. I have 11 eggs that are growing normally. Many others that are not a good size, and probably wont make it to retrieval. My biggest two are at 13.5 ml. If all goes well, I'm looking at retrieval around the end of next week or towards the weekend (Nov 4,5) My birthday is the 7th, so wouldn't that make the greatest present? This is my 4th IVF attempt. I did three 18 years ago at a very young age, and all were BFN. I'm now 39, turning 40 in about a week 1/2. I know my chances are so slim because of my age, but I'm very excited about my stimulating, as I didn't even think I would get this far with it. (I had a friend go through it last cycle, and cancelled because she did not stimulate. She was 41. So, so far I'm on the right track. Hopefully those follies will keep growing. I would love to be able to talk to you all during your cycle. I've read many of the forums on the site, and thing the support is all so great! Good luck to everyone! Janice
Ellie, I too have a huge bruise on my stomach. I think I hit a blood vessle, and it's really nasty looking. Some smaller ones on my thighs, but my stomach is kind of a mess. This is normal. Unfortunately, just really nasty looking!

Hi Janice and welcome. I'm pretty close to you. I started stims on 10/19 and just had 4th ultrasound yesterday (they had to monitor me more closely until my eggs get to 14 because I'm not on lupron, so they have to give me another med call cetritide at that time to keep me from ovulating too soon. So, my 2 biggest were 14's. I have a lot 15 or so on each side but know they won't all make it, and my quality hasn't been the best. They are thinking egg retieval will be Thursday or Friday (11/2 or 11/3). How are the shot's goin? I'm worried about my estrogen level being too high because I'm already at 4000, but I"m also on estrogen supp, so it's hard to say how much of that is the increased number. They don't seem to be too concerned yet though. I always stress about everything during my cycle. I'm doing acupuncture also, so hoping this will help.

Things have been so crazy at my house. I had family visit from out of town. They don't know about my IVF so I had to sneak around. It was so funny. Things are going well with me. I had bw and us this morning. I have a cyst like I suspected, but like last time it isnt producing hormones, so I am good to go. I dont think that cyst ever left. It does concern me, because I don't want this to be the reason for another BFN. I know that if it were an issue, then I would not have gotten the green light. I did get 9 eggs last time, so the cyst didn't impact the stim too much. Does anyone know if a non hormone producing ovarian cyst has anything to do with implantation or any reason that IVF wouldnt be successful? Tonight is my 1st injection. My break in between cycles went by fast. I can't believe that its time again!

hi all need some advice, really freaked myself out today. on puregon 300 a day . using a 900 vial. had third last night and went to remove EMPTY vial and it was half full... completeley panicked and rang nurses but they said there was no need to worry and they always put more in ... surely not that much more.... has anyone else had this problem?
tested pen and it dispensed 300 and then another 300 for injection.. all from one vial.... dont understand any advice???

Hello everyone! I've been working hard on getting the landscaping done. Darn my yard is bigger than I thought and there's yucky gravel everywhere that needs to be cleaned up. You can't really plant anything in that. We had to buy $300 worth of soil! Can you imagine $300 for a big pile of dirt. We could use more too. At least we know we're saving 10k to 15k by doing it ourselves. I want to get all the hard stuff done before my ET. It's crunch time, only 11 days to go.
Welcome Janice, Congrats on 11 follies! You've come to the right place for support. Everyone here is really good at that. I should be doing my ET a few days after yours, so we will be on the TWW together. Are you doing 2-3 day transfer or 5 day?
ss, there might be some extra, but I'm sure not half. You might want to check with your clinic to make sure your pen is dispensing correctly. maybe it only messed up once. Are you being monitored by your clinic? If you're not getting the proper dose and response is low, they should be able to tell when they do your BW and US. If your follies are responding fine then I wouldn't worry. Good luck.

Kelly, It sounds like we're right on the same schedule. I will probably go to retrieval Thursday or Friday. The shots are going ok, but the Lupron gives me really bad headaches. They have to give me something to take for those, cause I couldn't stand it. My stomach looks like a big bruised apple. Other than that, I've been pretty excited about how far I've gotten considering my age. I don't even know what my estrogen level is, but I'll be sure to ask tomorrow. I have my 3rd ultrasound tomorrow. I too am doing acupuncture this time. I've never done this before. I will keep you in my thoughts, and prayers. Let me know how it goes Thurs/Fri.
Hopeful, Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure if I'm doing 3 or 5 day yet. I'm having icsi, as my husband had some sperm deformity issues, and I'm not sure yet if I'm doing assisted hatching with 3 day transfer, or 5 day blastocyst yet. I think I'll find that out closer to transfer.
wannababy1229-my cysts produced estrogen, but in all the research that I did on cysts were consistent that the cyst might interupt follicle production (which it didn't for you) but as long as you had eggs, the cyst does not effect the IVF out come.
Jeck...words cannot express the sorrow we all feel for you, most of us have been through it...we are all here for you.

Hi ladies!!, a lot going on this morning!!, I am at work so I will personalize later, but I just wanted to tell you that I went to the Dr's office today for US and BW, and I had 13 follies in one ovary and 10 on the other!! wowww, I couldn't believe it!!, they are 15mm the bigger ones, so maybe by next control I will have some at 20mm and will be ready for ER, hope so!!!!

Hope you are all doing OK, just had US and from what I can remember I have about 18 x 8 follies and about 15 x 9 - 15 follies! That would explain why my ovaries feel like a couple of Maris Pipers!! My lining was good apparently @ 8.1 Next ultrasound on Wednesday so have to keep with 150 gonal dosage until then, they will then apparently have to make a a decision which to go for, ie overstim the big ones hoping that the little ones grow or go with the biggies! Apparently the 8's don't always grow, so only time will tell, not bad for less than a week of stimming, just using the complementary therapies to try and counteract any OHSS side effects, I thought I was dying last time!! by the time ER came about I was screaming to get them out, it was like a scene from the exorcist!! Wish me luck!!

Wow, that's a great number of follies! I'm very happy for you.
I went just for the bw today. They will let me know if I need to change anything with my meds. The nurse said if you loose a little bit of meds, it's ok. I also asked her if I can use less water to dissolve Menopur. She said, it might hurt then because it will be more concentrated. I'm injecting it now with a little angle and it helps. Otherwise I get a huge bump while injecting it. I also do it very slowly. I hate Menopur.... It doesn't hurt but it's such a pain in the butt to do it.
I started not long ago but already feel bloated. Luckily, no mood swings so far.
ss, that's really weird. I use a pen for Follistim. Sometimes I have to shake it a little bit to get the drop on the needle before injecting. Can there be an air bubble or maybe something is wrong with the pen. I doubt that they will put much more medication than it says. Let us know what the nurse will say.
