Ladies - WOW!!

The thread has exploded this last weekend. It has taken a while to get through all the new posts.

CarolynB - Congrats on the start of shots. Weird place to be when we congratulate each other for something painful we do to ourselves. But I know how bad we ALL want BFPs.

Jemima - Intervaginal Progesterone :( Because of my age, I had to use three a day. My Dr and pharmist both told me to keep them in the fridge. That wasn't the only Progesterone, I was taking up to five 200mg tablets a day, a 500 mg shot each evening, and the 3 supposatories. Be very grateful you are still young.

Aunty - Fostering. That is a great thing for many children who deserve much more than life has dealt them. I love your lists and they are very helpful especially since there are so many of us on the thread. You have a warm heart and a caring soul, it shows everytime you welcome someone aboard or address someone's questions. Thank you!!

Welshgirl - I will be praying extra hard this week for you to hear something back from the clinic. I hate it when Drs. have us between a rock and a hard place and think nothing of it, whether it is intentional or not.

Angie - Extra prayers for you this week as well. Let's hope that after Thanksgiving you will have something extra to be thankful for. You were concerned about transferring 1 or 2 emmbies. I know many have given their advice, but I'm sure that whatever you decide upon will be exactly what God intended and it will be GREAT!!

SSalgado - Did you get the patches in so you could start them today? I hope all goes well for a successful start.

I was so worried because I was long overdue for AF. I called Dr. Thursday and he said to give until the end of the month and if AF didn't arrive, give two 2cc shots of Progesterone on Dec. 1. Guess that was enough to scare me into it. AF arrived Saturday morning. Never been so happy to see AF. After 1st IVF, just afraid it would throw cycles so far off that it might delay 2nd IVF start.

Is anyone else getting erratic notices on postings? I got one notice Friday and one this morning and when I get online, there were 4 new pages of postings.

Someone had mentioned aspirin. My Dr. has me taking 1-1/2 baby aspirin each morning as well as my prenatal vitamins. He had me on the baby aspirin prior to the start of the first IVF.

Aunty - sorry I used your ticker. I didn't notice until I had already sent. I know the milk is good for calcium intake, but what does the pineapple juice do?

Aunty - On the notices of posts -- I did not get an e-mail notice that you had just made a post. I had to get on and check. I might get one notice a day and some days none. Any one else had this problem? By the way, I love pineapple juice, I think I will try that this time also.

Gone for the evening.

Hi Everyone...

I know I haven't posted for ages but have been having a bit of a break from the whole thing. I have however been having a read of your posts from time to time to see how you are all getting on.

So, its my planning appointment for IVF No2 today. I am starting to feel excited and positive but at the same time we seem to have so much stacked against us that we are obviously scared and a bit apprehensive of failing again.

I am looking forward to joining you all again and hopefully having the same incredible support from all you September Hopes and Dreams ladies who have moved across to this thread. I know we can help each other over the ups and downs - we made a great team last time.

Will let you know how it goes this afternoon.

Lots of love

Hi Ladies,

Caroline... Good luck on scan. You will see those beautiful eggs soon. I remember first time saw them I was so happy. Felt like saw a baby on my uterus. I know it is silly.... Anyway, I think your dietarian right. Don't let the lever works too hard I read about it... I will be thinking about red mead soon :D :D

Shantala, im so sorry. I can feel your feeling. Keep PMA. Im praying for you.

Babyblue, Oh honey... Im younger doesn’t mean I don't have issued. I have so many problems in my weak body. I think if your clinic allowed you to do IVF that they sure you will be able to get BFP. I know a girl wanted to IVF so bad but all clinic rejected her. She is only 30!!! I know your miracle waiting for you. All you need to just walk to it with Faith. Hug for you... :D :D

Becky, sweetie I hope they will give you the information for you. Im praying for you.

Ems, Good luck on appoinment. Let us know the result.

I hope everybody okay. As for me Im planning to do diabetic test tomorrow. I watched TV today about diabetic. I think I have the sympthom. One sign I always want to drink alot. I told Debz about it. Before my 1st IVF, I did the test. Before ate/on fasting it was good, also after eat. In fact after ate, my sugar blood drop. But Im feeling weak lately. Forgive me if Im worry too much... But I don't like being weak all the time. Pray for me. I let you know the result.

All the best to you. You are all in my thought and prayer. GBU

A new year and new beginings

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

After a long wait we are finally looking forward to heading down the IVF track with out 1st attempt early Januaty.

My husband had a vascatomy years ago. We had it reversed almost 3 years ago with no success. Last week they were able to collect a good number of sperm using TESA. We are both really excited as we feel there is now a possibility of having a baby. We are starting IVF in January and I am looking forward to getting to know others who are heading down the same track. It is all new and exciting - I haven't allowed myself to get to optiomstic until last week. We have an appointment on the 13th December I guess at this stage they will decide what programme (is that the right term to use ???). I'm looking forward to heading down this challange and adventure. Best wishes to everyone else heading down the same road over the next couple of months

Welcome Arizonakiwi to this great thread. You'll get all the support that you need from these wonderful ladies. Ask away if you have questions as many of us many have faced the same thing before. It is great news that they were able to collect from your dh and now you can get started. We call it protocol in the UK but may be called programme down under? There are lots of different protocols - different start days, different drugs, different doses etc etc But it will all become clear!

Lots happening over the next few days:

- Rachel - Happy 30th Birthday for tomorrow. Have a great day. Only wish that I was your age

- Em - good luck for your appointment today. Do let us know how you get on? Let's hope that you can make a plan. That always helps so much I find

Jemma - Good luck for your test tomorrow. I think that it is good that you get it done. You know your body best. Best to get all the tests done before you start - I find that quite reassuring. Fingers crossed it will all be fine

Nimble - Think that your appointment is tomorrow. Good Luck. Hope that they answer all your questions. I take a long list with me everytime I go - sure that he hates seeing me coming

Sanny & Christine - Looks like you both get started tomorrow. Welcome about the ivf train. You are both going to do great

Bec/Aunty - I was told 2 litres of water a day. It is weird how they seem to tell us all slightly different things. I have been doing that for 6 months now although now it is cooler I usually end up doing more like 1 1/2 litres a day. But know yesterday that I drunk more than 2 litres so need to be careful. How ironic would it be to end up in hospital for over drinking water. I shall keep an eye on it. Thank you both for the words of warning

Babyblue - Glad that AF showed. I agree with you that anyone would think that we were mad to be cheering when she arrives and when we do shots. But that is the world that we live in!!!! I was on April-May thread and a lot of the girls said that pineapple - contains selenium - think that it is also in almond nuts? It is meant to make you nice and sticky inside. No idea if true or not. But I eat loads of fruit and could not see how it could do any harm. Needs to be fresh fruit or fresh juice I believe. Let's give it a go!!!

Angie - very best of luck for your ET. Will be great. You'll be the 1st lady onto the 2ww board!!

Happy Thanksgiving for later this week for all the ladies on the other side of the water.

For my UK friends then the Robert Winston programme is on tonight at 9pm and all about snow babies. But you probably all knew that already!

Hugs to everyone else. Hope that you are keeping up the PMA if at all possible.

So I am up to 2 shots a day. Antagonist was a little rougher than stimmies pen as slightly bigger needle and I got a bit of rash around the site but has calmed down already so no big deal. Still feeling quite good. Sleeping really well. Acu this evening to help me make nice eggies! Wonder if he will do the needle in the head again to calm me down!!!??? The only thing that I have done is cancel a couple of evenings out this week as would rather go home, get into my comfy PJs and curl up on the sofa in front of the TV. Can recall that last time I prefered to keep myself to myself when I had the chance so am just going to go with it.

Take good care.
Lots of Love

Hi everyone - I'm finally back after my fantastic break. I didn't want to come home it is so cold and dark here compared to Florida. Anyway I had a wonderful time and my cousins wedding was great. I can't believe how many of us will be cycling together, I'm sure we were only on about page 12 when I went away, I have so much to catch up on!

I also have loads to catch up on in work so will write more later

Take care all

Hello

Carolyn - thanks for your thoughts and understanding words. its very true that its best to get all the tests out of the way first. after a nights kip it seems less of a wait today. :) i actually looked into hammersmith when i first looked into clinics and we decided to stay as local as we can (although oxford about the same in the car than london on the train). its meant to be a really good clinic though and had a friend who was going to go there but then found out she was pregnant. lucky thing. thanks for the reminder of the programme tonight - i cant wait. i look forward to this every week now. great to hear that you've started your next lot of jabs today - one step closer to that BFP!! :D you did make me laugh when you wondered if your acu would be sticking needles in your head again.

Bec - thanks for your support. 2 phases sounds very complicated but maybe thats it! maybe you're on your way to that BFP like carolyn

babyblue - my postings have been weird too. not erratic but it wouldnt let me know when someone posted. now, it seems to be working again. all a bit bizzare.

aunty - pineapple juice..hhmmm.. i do like it so i might start adding a small glass like you to my plan. yummy.

ems - hope your planning appointment went well today. do let us know how you got on. whereabouts in kent are you? i graduated from there this june just gone!!

jem - thanks for your thoughts and prayers. hope you're feeling better. x

arizonakiwi - welcome!!! you'll find some fantastic support on here. i'm new to all this too and will be starting my first ivf soon. i asked lots of questions at the beginning and still do now and it really helped me.

Rachel - Happy 30th Birthday for tomorrow! woohoo!!

Hayley - glad you had a good break away and welcome back! hehe.

xx
