Hello:

I just arrived from my appoinment. They find my right ovary!!!! :D . Didn't mention the measure of the uterus but show me three lines and said it was very good. I have 3 follies in my right ovary and 2 in my left, measuring between 9 and 12. I don't know what all that means but the RE was pretty happy with the results. He said he was worried last week but now we can relax. He expect 6 follies at the end of this week.

Do you ladies, who has helped me and become my very personal dictionary and confidents, know if this is good? I though it should be more follies? Anyway, I'm happy with 5.

Today I begin with Ganirelix. I can't believe everything is going so fast.

Hugs for everyone and thanks for be here for me, and for everybody else.

Did my day 4 u/s and bloodwork. Nurse said we are off to a good start but didnt mention the follicle number or sizes which is probably good so I dont obsess about it. She did say my lining is only 5 but she is not worried because its "early in the game". Next appointment on Thursday.

CTMichele, I hope you can start BCPs quick and get off them in two weeks! Keeping fingers crossed.

Sari, glad they found your ovary. Im not sure if that is good at this point or not. I am an IVF newbie. Im sure one of the veterans can assist. And I agree with you, its going fast!

Ok, I called the doc's off and spoke to a nurse. She is now going to talk to my doc and ask her. She told me that maybe if the doc says ok, they can do blood work and know if I'm about to ovulate or to get my af. So If not they can give me a pill to make my af come :)

Hey Girls a few personals
 Nicole- Sorry to hear about your BFN. I like your spirit and adoption is an amazing option, so I'm glad your starting to get your head around it early since it takes a while for some to accept. I must tell you, we had one failed IUI. DH had 2% morph at the time and there wasn't much optimism from RE. We never really cared for him and switched to another RE. New one said he was willing to do IUI, but by the second semen analysis the morph was 1%. We just looked at the facts and decided not to waste money and time on IUI since the chance of getting pregnant is so low with our low morph. If your husband has 0% morph, I can't imagine that they would even talk to you about IUI. We ended up doing ICSI, and even though I didn't get pregnant (I don't think it was due to egg quality, but to implantation issues that I am going to work on this time around with my FET), but 13 out of my 15 mature eggs fertilized thanks to ICSI. I know you aren't crazy about IVF as we weren't either, but honestly with your situation, unless I read it wrong (which happens  ) I would think your best bet would be IVF w/ ICSI. Just something to think about. Either way good luck to you, and you will have your baby someday one way or the other.
 Michelle: Secondary Infertility is where someone got pregnant without intervention for the first, second, etc child, but then upon trying to get pregnant down the line, they then have infertility. Someone like me that had a c/s with my first lets say, and has a lot of scar tissue, could have secondary infertility due to the adhesions that weren't there the first time.
You were right, my FET date is for April, Thanks for catching that. I'm still in March mode I guess 8)
 I have a request in today to have RE call me since I have more questions regarding the FET. As of right now he has me doing the FET for a blasto transfer on day 25 of my menstrual cycle. Just seems so late to me. I am not on lupron, so I'm not sure how that all works. Wondering if any of you girls that had FET's had that experience where they transfer so late? I'd love to get any feedback you guys have.
Well gotta run, Have a great day ladies. It's nice and sunny hear in Richmond, VA so I'll send a little sun dust to all of you :D

Melanie, thank you for your kind words, they are so appreciated. Yes, I plan on grilling the RE's office RNs about the only 2 SA they have of my DH to find out if we are still doing the right thing by pursuing IUI. I'll be calling them on day one of this new cycle (any day now).

Time will tell.

thx again! :)

hi everyone! i've been to clinic today for bloods and scan, they rang me this evening and told me all is well and im stimming on thurs the 26th for sure now. i'll be on puregon 150 iu at evening time, and told to drink loads of water.. is there any special thing to do? what's the protein drink? im bleeding as well since yesterday it was pinkish initially to bright red and brownish today.. i've been told it's ok, though i've been scared.. yesterday was my first day back at work after 5 weeks leave, and working the whole week through, rostered for nite duty on sun, i wish they could find substitute, im taking another leave.. i dont want to take chance, work is so heavy and stressfull. i could feel my ovaries pulsating.

hey girls

carolyn- thanks for popping in, I bet you are a busy bee, looking forward to hearing from you later in the week.

melanie- thanks for clarifying secondary ivf. I guess I am not then, we have known since day one that we had no choice but ivf since dh has no sperm in ejaculate. I do like to dream about it though, wouldn't it be nice not to have to go through all of this.

estrellita- glad to hear af is coming for you, even if they have to make it come. Atleast you can get started.

sari- so glad they found your right ovary. It would have been quite a mystery if it wasn't there! Don't stress about numbers too much, everyone is different, it only takes one to get pregnant!

latino- you are still in the early game. You have plenty of time for those follies to keep growing.

afm- I never got any phone calls from anyone, not RE or reg doc, so I decided to call RE again this afternoon. They said they tried to call my reg doc and haven't heard back yet. They said as long as they get verbal clearance then I will start bcp's tomorrow. She said I am on the top of her pending pile for april's cycle and if they don't here from the reg dr by 10 am they will let me know so I can call them...so I wait some more...and wait....and wait

I just picked up mil from the hospital, she was discharged tonight. DH is at the pharmacy with her getting meds and she will start her very intensive outpatient program on thursday. She has to go to that 5 nights a week for 4 hours each night. She is also going to AA meetings on top of that, so she seems pretty dedicated right now. I hope her enthusiasm about getting better continues. The first month is always the hardest.

Ok, I might not be able to check in again until tomorrow. Oh goodness, the baby is sooooo cranky right now b/c she refuses to take a nap...looks like an early bedtime for her tonight, which means an early morning tomorrow for me...boo

Talk to you all soon

Well I finally got the call from RE. Apparently I'm on the verge of OHSS :o Talk about out of the blue!!! Eveything was going perfectly and all of a sudden my estradiol levels are 5107 which they say are a little high. So I was given options to trigger tonight and proceed and hope for the best or "coast" which is go a few days with no meds to try to get E2 levels down and reschedule ER. If I proceed I have to report any symptoms of OHSS to them and if I do, they will continue with the ER, freeze the eggs and schedule an FET in a few weeks. The risk with "coasting" is poor egg quality. Right now I feel completely fine. RE thinks things will continue to go well but wanted to warn me of what COULD possibly happen. I'm pretty optimistic though. Just praying my body doesn't go into crazy shock mode tomorrow and start falling into the OHSS trap. I went out and bought my Ensure Plus Protein and will continue to drink an insane amount of water. So anyway, I did trigger tonight! Right now ER is scheduled for Thursday and ET for Sunday.

I do have a question about the Ovidrel (trigger shot). When I removed the needle after the injection I noticed blood (my blood) in the vial  Is this ok?? I freaked out about it of course but DH said it was ok. What do you ladies think? Has it happened to any of you?
