hi ladies,
can anybody tell me the FB forum about IVF?
and does everyone inject Progesterone after transfer? I start my cycle and Dr. said he will not use Progesterone and only insert the Estrace pills. I am not sure it is enough or not.
thanks.

Hi Maggie, the FB group is called IVF Gals but if you have trouble logging on. just send me an IM message with your first and last name and I will invite you to join the group, it is a secret group so the regular facebook crowd cannot view. As for after the ET I only used progesterone but had better luck with IM shots. Anyway come on over when you are ready, sending you all the best! Christy

Been quite some time since I really posted here....It's hard to believe after 3 yrs in this journey we are moving into the 3rd trimester. It's surreal, but I still have some hurtles to get through. Did not pass the 1st glucose test last week so have to go in for the 3 hr test on Monday, my numbers were borderline...Dh found a new job that's local so we can stay in the area but have to decide how I'm going to balance daycare with work since I need to help dh out, so much to figure out. It's the stuff you never think about while trying to get pregnant but I am not complaining just overwhelmed a little right now. This morning I had a sharp pain in my right side near hip and it would not go away but drinking water did help some but it comes and goes. My only other issue is under my right breast, like a burning sensation weird maybe from my bra but hard to say for sure. After I get through the glucose craziness we go back on Sept. 6th for a ultrasound. This journey can be challenging but it certainly has taught me patience is the biggest virtue...

Hi all,
I am new and nervous. Quick background on us. I am 31 and he is 36. He had a vasectomy after having three boys with a previous marriage. We met and it was magic, we got married and want to have a baby of our own, so we reversed it in 2011. That worked for a bit but then scarred over. Now we have to go in and to a TESE to get the swimmers. That is taking place in a few weeks. Then while waiting for all this we found out I had one bad tube (Hydrosalpinyx) and during the surgery to remove that in June they had to actually take both tubes...so I am tubeless. I was not to upset as we have to do IVF regardless of the tube situation. I started oral contraceptives this month to get the cycle regular for the other medications that are to come. Sorry for the long intro. Glad to find this forum to get advice, knowledge, and support!
Thanks
W

This place seems to be cooling off since I was last here. Anyway, I hope that all are doing well. Has anyone heard from Leora? I was thinking of her today and wondering how she was doing.

Hi everyone, yes our forum has cooled off, since most of our former cycle buddies have joined the "secret fb" group called IVF Gals. Yet every now and then I will check in over here, even though I don't frequently post I wish everyone well on their personal journey!
Update on us, we managed to pass the 3 hour glucose test, and now down to 6 weeks until his EDD. Work has certainly helped the time fly by, but I want everyone to know even after the longest journey, miracles can still happen.
Much Love,
Christy

Dear Ladies,

I have been watching this site for some time throughout my own treatment but never posted previously. I wanted to post now to pass on some advice. After a number of unsuccessful attempts i finally got a BFP. There are a number of things that i did differently this time around, mainly my diet (before & after egg collection), supplements and also introducing some more healthy activities such as abdominal massage and yoga. I know that my body was def in a healthier condition this time around as the quality of eggs & embryos was much better. I just read a really useful little new e book on amazon the other day called 'Return to Fertility' by Ruby Rose, it had a number of really amazing tips that i wish i had read at the start of this 3 year journey. Some of them i had sort of discovered myself but others i will try in future. It has been written by a lady who has gone through ivf herself but also contains lots of useful references. Some of the practices mentioned seem quite 'way out' but its a really interesting read. It also gives a number of very simple techniques that could be tried out to achieve a natural pregnancy (even if you have gone through IVF). She goes through for example her experience with traditional chinese medicine & what it taught her (keep feet warm during 2ww etc!), the importance of acid/alkaline balance, what exactly she ate during ivf, supplements, activities like self abdominal massage. It also gives an interesting 'spiritual/mind perspective', about the importance of our connection with our 'spirit babies'............as i said i wish i had known about it before my 3 year ordeal!!

Anyway lots of luck to you all,

Ladyfizz xx

Hi ladies! This is my second IVF Journey and today was my ER. I only had 6 eggs. The first Round I had 7 eggs and 5 fertilized. They transferred 2 and I became pregnant with a singleton, unfortunately I lost my baby at almost 10 weeks. I will know by tomorrow afternoon how many of my eggs fertilized. I mean prayerful and hopeful. Through God all things are possible.
