hi denise
cant imagine how you guys must feel with twins in there , its strange and hard enough to take in the physical side of just 1!
just got back from holiday in Cyprus today , 2 weeks in the sunshine was good for but got too hot towards the end and wanted to come home to start preparing , final week of work next week which i have taken as holiday , unfortunatley my company have not made it easy for me to work until 4 wks b4 and i have opted to make my ( there?) life easier by taking mat leave earlier than i had hoped. i am quite pylosopical ( how do you spell that!!!) about it , hey, what goes around comes around i always say.......
anybody any advice on breastfeeding pumps, do i hire one from NCT, spk to midwife about hiring or buy a pack , if buy any advice on from where and what make etc........ would be greatfully received, thats my next peice of planning.....
lol to all us ladies on waiting , i hope you are all feeling well and looking forward to the end result.
xxxxxx

Honestly, I don't know what I'm getting into with breast pumps. I know that Medula is a top of the line pump, but quite pricey. I just went with what was on sale at Walmart, so hopefully it doesn't hurt too much!

I had another u/s today, Mandy, and my babies are doing great. They're 4'6" and 4'8". Unfortunately, one is resting on my diaphragm, and the other is using my bladder as a pillow... what do you do. Their arms and feet are all on the same side together, so lots of kicking going on over there!

Looks like I'm heading for a vaginal delivery as one is head down, and the other looks likely to follow. Also, doc said he's going to try to get me to 38 weeks, as my health is still prime. Awesome, except I'm already uncomfy..lol!

Well, DH and I are going shopping today to get the rest of the stuff we'll need immediately. We've had 3 showers and have a ton of some stuff, and we're having 3 showers after, so I don't need to buy everything, but some stuff you can't live without, right? And honestly, I'm looking forward to the shopping!

Hope all you quiet ladies are baking those babies big!

Hi
Just popping in to say 'hi'! Saw the midwife on Tues, but not our usual one. This one was SO much better - what a difference. For the first time, we came out full of it all instead of feeling like we have to be apologetic for being pregnant!
Out of interest, when did you/are you all stopping work? Everyone keeps saying they thought I would have finished by now (nearly 34 wks), and to be honest, I'm really starting to struggle now, so they're just rubbing it in!!! Still another 3 and a bit weeks to go.
Glad to hear you're all doing well.
Lots of love, xxx

Hi Lavendar

Good to hear your doing well, if not slowing down a little. I'm done work, but I'm an educational assistant so I would be done now anyways. Its nice to have the time to nap. My body is so tired these days.

Hi girls

so lovely to hear how well all are doing!! Dont have baby showers in Germany, but have bought a lot of good bargains on eBay! Lav - I dont work since last year, but In Germany its law to give up work for "Muttershutz" at 34 weeks, you can work longer if you can prove you are fit but most women dont - that said the lave the other side is also very good, so its not a gamble like UK. Poor you. Why not just get signed off sick???

Sweetie is doing great guns, he is 47cm and 5lbs 2oz and looking very fit and active, so he'll be long and slim not a biggie fatty like my sisters babies - probably have the donor and dh's "LONG" genes to thank for that! Also head down, so hoping for vaginal delivery, just wish the back thing was better getting real sciatica now, if it gets intolerable they'll have to c-section, so I am having accupuncture to keep under control.

35C here - toooooooooooooooo hot for hippos like us!!

biggest hugs to all

Hi everyone!

How are you all coping with the heat? I'm ok apart from balloon feet...and legs...and well, everything really!!! Isn't it gr8 being preggers?!

Still working. Finish July 22nd. Gotta keep going really as I teach and lots of my kiddies have exams and concerts coming up - they'd have a big old panic if I suddenly deserted them!

Been going to Parentcraft classes. We get a tour of the hospital in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that as I can see me and DF wandering around with me in labour and ending up at the fracture clinic or something!!

Anyway, must go...reports to write!! Lots of love to you and your bumps.

Hi Everyone
Not posted for a long, long time. Internet been dodgy. Think we've sortd it now. Finished work on friday. Doing lats minute preparations and then its just a case of sit and wait for that special day when our bundle of joy decides to come into the world. So far pregnancy has been trouble free, but have felt uncomfortable this last week with heatwave and night times are uncomfortable too, But I am not complaining because I feel I have had it so good. Hope i can say the same about the birth which I hope will not be long now.
Anyway i hope you all take care of yourselves and get plenty of rest, that's what I'm trying to do.

Hi everyone,

sympathies about the heatwaves you are getting - it's hot here all year round but at least we're set up with aircon, so you can get out of it regularly and sleep in a comfortable temperature.

I'm also getting swollen feet and legs - bit painful to walk on at times, but as that is the only side affect I've had so far, can't really complain. It was really only a problem whilst England was still in the world cup and the matches were being shown late at night... missed a lot as I couldn't stand around the large public screens that are in the pubs and bars around town. Anyway, England were crap, and that's that.

So how are you girls doing - well I hope... please post if you get a moment.

love
Caroline

Morning All
Had a lovely day yesterday. Went to hospital, all is well, booked in to be induced for 31st, hope i don't get that far, decided I would like to have him on Monday as 10 is our lucky number!!!!! DH off work for day so we went round shopping centre and had a coffee, went to ikea and bought a rug for nursery, had lunch at Bella Italia, it was all very nice. Started today with a fried breakfast, DH going to pick up cot mattress and we're going to have a picnic at Clumber park this afternoon. We're taking dog with us to give him a bit of attention before baby arrives. All in all I feel quite calm and relaxed. Tomorrow I will watch men's tennis final and then I will cheer on those tasty Italians in world cup final, bliss!
Hope you are all having good weekends too!
