Hey Everyone!

Just a quick update before I get a quick rest.

The EC went great! We ended up with 18 eggs. Only 1 was immature. We agreed to donate 5 eggs to research. So we have 12 that they will be trying to fertilize. We will find out in the morning. Then on Wednesday the will tell us if we are doing 3 day or 5 day transfeers. ( 2 eggs)

okay I need a nap.

Hugs to everyone!

Danielle

Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a few weeks and finally decided that I would join in with such a fantastic group. I have been trying to understand all the lingo and abbreviations, so I apologize if I sound ridiculous and need to ask what something means. I wanted to inroduce myself...my name is Bella and I believe I am the oldest one here (I'm 43) and have just went to an RE who didn't give me the most encouraging news. But we went forward anyway. My first FSH was 38 and on second visit was given clomid, the FSH went down to 17 then 14. Started taking Menopur injections and schedule an US in a week. The US had an 11cm follie in one ovary and an 12 cm follie in the other. Continuing the menopur injections and had another US Saturday. One follie grew to 18cm while the other stayed the same. I need to stay on the clomid until monday when I go in for my next US. Started taking Femtrace on Saturday as well. Today went in for an US and one follie at 22cm, the other still has not grown. Tonight I get a Ovidrel injection and tomorrow go back for an IUI. I know my age is such a big factor and I'm praying I didn't wait too long for children. I would be devastated. I'm so greatful that there are boards like this to help me understand the process and know that what I'm going through...so many others can honestly relate having gone through this procedure themselves. I appreciate the kindness and knowledge you all bring. Hope I am posting this on the right board? Wishing you all baby wishes, tiny kisses and 10 litle fingers and toes! :D

Big welcome to all the newbies -- one of you asked a question a while back regarding the BC pill? My doctor prescribed it to give my ovaries a "rest" -- and also to be able to control the start day for down-reg.

Am finally about to begin my next cycle!!! I'm to take my last pill tomorrow and then will start the nasal spray on Friday and begin injections next week. We are going on holiday to Spain (so excited) and will have to take our kit of needles and meds with us -- anyone travelled with this stuff before? I've got a note from my doctor but it feels so bizarre...!

Lisa B75: Oh, sweetie, I'm so, so sorry to hear about the loss of your and DH's friend. I hope that you both, and his family, can find some comfort in your memories of your friendship and in knowing that now he is at peace. I also hope that all went well today with the ET. Please, please, please take things easy over the next little while. Rest up and let those little embies do their thing. Thinking of you.

Niccy: How are you doing with those injections? I'm starting up next Friday!!!

Danielle: 18 eggs!!! How wonderful -- and even more wonderful that you donated some for research. Keep us posted on ET -- sending you lots of PMA.

Angela: I'm so very sorry to hear of your BFN. Hope you are taking some time to recover -- you and DH please be kind to yourselves and take things easy for the next little while. Your day will come, I know it!!!

I12bamum: So glad to hear that all is well with you again. What an unnerving experience -- especially since all your docs couldn't give you any definite answers. That's modern medicine for you isn't it -- on the one hand, look at all the amazing things they can do (the baby-on-the-way in your belly as proof!!!) and on the other, there are times where they just look at you as if to say, "duh, i dunno?"

Sending lots and lots of PMA to everyone who is sniffing, stimming, injecting, waiting, waiting, waiting....will be joining you all shortly!

Hugs to all!

Good morning to you all. Just thought I would copy the list back forward. I have phoned the clinic today to agree the funding for IVF and they are sending out the blood forms for me and we will get the referal appointment in May so I guess we will be testing around June time.

Re the list, if there are any changes to be made on it either copy and paste it or let me know and I will make the changes.

Good luck to everyone. Will try and send some personals later.

Hi Everyone. Angela - so sorry to hear about your BFN. However - great news that you are getting things going with IVF - maybe this is the answer for you! I know it seems to be the best solution for women with "tubal issues" like us :) .

sml - thank you for your sympathy and well wishes. The death of dh's friend has been very difficult but we know he is better off and in a better place now. Have fun on your trip to Spain! And don't get arrested for smuggling those needles - lol!! I never thought about having to travel with that stuff. Let us know how it goes!

Danielle - I think I posted to you already - my mind is so full today! I hope your ET went well and we can get each other through this crazy 2ww!

Welcome to the new ladies - you will find it very comforting here.

As for me - well I had my 2 excellent rated blastocysts put back on Tuesday and felt very hopeful that this is going to work! I started getting AF symptoms (bloatedness, sore breasts, slight cramps, cravings) with my very first progesterone shots last week so I am trying not to read too much into what I am feeling now. The cramps have subsided for the most part but I keep getting "twingy" feelings down there and of course it is driving me crazy wondering what in the heck is going on! I assume you all know what I mean - lol! How cruel is it that progesterone shots, PMS, and early pregnancy all produce the same symptoms!! Anyway - I am trying to relax and just breathe. I started bawling last night for no reason and told dh - "this isn't going to work - I feel like I am going to get my period I just know it." I realize I am just catastrophizing and hormonal right now and I need to just stay positive!!! I guess this is just one of the "downs" of the rollar coaster. All in all my attitude is good and, if this cycle fails, I will not give up and will try, try again.

I am testing on April 13th - if someone wants to update this list - and i am having the dreaded HPT debate with myself. I have 2 in the cabinet and can't decide what to do. Guess I just need to calm down..lol!

To everyone else - lots of PMA and "relaxing" thoughts to you in your cycles, 2ww's, meds, pregnancies, etc...

Hey everyone!

The HTP debate... Im right there with you.. However.. I have 11 tests left over from the years.. and Im ready to clean out the cabinet.. =)

I took 2 of them even before the ET, I wanted to see if the meds would leave my system from the trigger shot.

As of Wednesday 4 days post Trigger shot I got a Positive result from the test.

Then Thursday before my ET I took another test ( im using first morning urine in each case) I got a negative. That was 5 days past my Trigger shot.

I had my ET Thursday and Im going to wait 5 days post ET to test again.

So Next Tuesesday I will do another and see what it says..

Just so that you all know.. I have never gotten a positive pregnancy test. Even with my two kids.. So I have little hope for a positive result from an HPT even it I am pregnant.

But I just wanted to see what would come out of those 11 tests.

Hugs to everyone!

Danielle :D
