jan, thank you for the kind words. I am doing better today. Slight cramping and my breasts are not as tender. So I think nature is taking it's course and we will have much lower beta tomorrow.
Both of my donors were proven. RE was very surprised at the numbers we got with #1, but thrilled with the numbers from #2. They told me their goal was 9 fertilized. Then when only 2 were genetically good ones, he was very surprised. I really don't know what to do at this point, other than write down all my questions and wait for our follow up appointment.
Thank you for your comments about the acupuncture. I have been struggling with my knees the past 6 months and have not been feeling well physically. So I really think I'm going to look into this, hoping it will help me with my general health also. Honestly I've been feeling like my body is just too old and tired for this whole process and I'm scared that might be contributing to our failures.
becca: Glad that you are feeling a bit better today. This process is quite a draining one, emotionally as well as physically. I agree with Jan and feel that acupuncture really helped with my relaxation and health in general. I would highly recommend it--it can be expensive, but check to see if your insurance might cover it. I didn't choose to take the herbal suggestions, but I did take some of the dietary ones--cinnamon, "warming food", etc. Take care of yourself and hang in there. (((HUGS)))

Juli I know exactly how you are feeling. My first beta was 5.78 and my second was 9.79. Going to have a third one in 48 hours. I don't know what to think.
bad news,my test was negative
We really thought this cycle was the one, everything went so smoothly, from
picking the donor to the egg transfer, the embies were great quality and
still it's a BFN....I don't know what to think anymore....I can't even
get pregnant with 20 something-year-old eggs...geez
It was DH's b-day as well, wish I could've given him the best news ever
but sadly.....it's a no, yet again
Oh Jan! I am so sorry. And on DH's birthday makes it worse.....((((HUGS))))) Exhausting indeed. So sorry. Take extra care of yourself right now. This process is so unpredictable and difficult to say the least. Will you be trying again soon? You have 4 perfect frosties, right?
Thanks for the hugs Margi
Yes, we do have 4 more embies, thank goodness.
I don't know yet if we should try right away, I'm thinking
maybe in 2 mths.
How about you, how is your pregnancy coming along ? You are so lucky
take care
hi Juli, Becca, and Jan, so sorry for the news, especially when used DEs...please take good rest and then try again whenever you are up to it in the near future. It's a tough journey for everyone, even for the younger girls...hang in there!
Margi, how are you doing with the twins? I thought that you had prego buddies here and was happy that you could find someone to talk about you pregnacy journey, and to compare notes and so on. Do you know there is a place where pregos talk about twins and triplets on this message board? Hope some of the over 40 gals here will join you soon. but please don't be shy to share your news here.
Tammy, catharine, are you still here from time to time?

Hope you are all well.

NY: Never heard back from you....how did everything turn out?
Tamera: Are you getting ready yet? I know that you have a few months yet before your trip. Were you able to connect with Anton and Greek Chick on the IVF board? I hope that you are feeling positive and optimistic!!
Tammy: Glad that you are at peace with your decision and enjoying your time and trips. Yes, I am still on bed rest, can you believe it? But I will do what I need to do...I have come too far to risk losing them.
Becca: How are you doing? Did you decide to jump back in? Trying the acupuncture?
Jan: How are you holding up? Still planning to do FET later in the summer?
Juli: How about you? Moving forward again soon?
Yasmina: Thanks for the encouragement. It feels odd to share my news, especially when there are several BFNs. I will try to find the twins message board...I hadn’t come across it.
AFM: Still on continued bed rest. Both of my “mangos” are looking healthy. All of the scans and b/w are coming back in our favor. Had the Level II with MFM. Unfortunately the SCH is still there so OB wants me on continued modified bed rest--with some increased activity allowed--for another month. That will be until I am 22 weeks along--and I will be turning 44. This started at 7 weeks, can you believe it? Honestly, I didn’t even know this was a possibility. But I appreciate this blessing and hope that all will turn out well. I can feel them moving around now which is an absolute thrill.

Margi, I know I am not on this thread usually, but I wanted to give you words of encouragement. I had a SCH with my son and learned and read as much as I could about it. I heard of one lady who had a SCH throughout her pregnancy. When she finally delivered, it was discovered that the entire center of the placenta was separated only the outside of it was attached. However, thankfully, the baby was fine. That is an extreme case, and some don't turn out as well, but it is my understanding that yours is getting smaller. I hope and believe that you and your little ones will be okay.
