OMG, I am so f'ing tired. I'm glad it is quiet here at school.

My brother got me a book for my birthday called "Awkward *****, My Life With MS" by Marlo Donato Parmalee. It is fabulous. I finished it in two sessions. She is a feisty one. It was so nice to read it and feel validated and inspired. She wrote about her symptoms in such a vivid way that really brought the reader to a place of understanding. I loved that she shared some symptoms with me and gave me words to describe it.

Lauren319- the PIO sucks. Like I said before, you can try rubbing the spot to see if it will help. Make sure to alternate sides daily. Try not to inject directly into the lump. Easier said than done, I know. I hate those shots. I get pain that lingers for weeks after I stop. It's really bothersome when I run. Good luck with it!

Well We got 5 eggs from me. I think 5 is a good number for me anyways. we never get many but it is all about quality I am feeling completely relaxed. The anesthesiologist gave me a "mickey" as soon as I got back there and then she hit me with another "mickey" before she put me out. When I walked in from the bathroom, I went ahead and hung my own IV bag up. They were laughing at me. Anyways, now we just wait for the fertility report tomorrow and the donor to her thing.

Leora- You was asking me about the donor. Let me see if I can explain it in my drug induce state. She is doing IVF too to get pregnant but her problem is not her eggs where mine is. She has 2 children already. So we split the cost of her cycle & her meds. Our RE helped us out too along with you guys who sent me the medication I needed for my cycle. They are suppose to call today & let us know for sure that her ER is tomorrow. Then we have to wait & see how mine do and hers. I know we will have some decisions to make. I usually transfer on day 3 bc of the embryo quality and I would think hers would be day 4 or 5 so yes I may have 2 transfers. But If mine by some chance do wonderful we may just use mine and freeze hers or do 2 of mine 1 of hers if mine are struggling. It is kinda of up in the air at this point. We just have to wait & see. My RE is already getting anxious bc I have never done as way as I did this cycle. He was like we don't want you to have triplets so we need to see how all the embryos do then make a decision. Hell the may need to "mickey" him..lol.

Blue- That is wonderful about the book. I don't have MS but I do have Lupus. I wake up in pain most of the time, but I just push it aside get on with my day but some days I just lay in bed. It is nice to read an inspirational story from someone who lives it day in & day out. I have yet to find one on Lupus SLE maybe I will write one..lol.

Amanda, I think writing your own book sounds fantastic. I've considered it. I have a couple of friends with Lupus. Each are the same but different just like those of us with MS. I'm sorry you have to live in pain too. That sucks. Fatigue is my worst symptom. The pain is better since I started taking baclofen regularly (a muscle relaxer used for spinal cord damage related spasticity). My legs often get very heavy feeling or sometimes feel like they have disappeared. I'm sorry that you too live with an invisible disease.

Good luck with the fert report. Can't wait to see how it goes.

We've talked a bit about this before, but wanted to revisit it. What have you done to improve egg quality and sperm quality? Dh is fine but it couldn't hurt to enhance the quality. I produced nicely. We got 14 eggs (1 on the left and 13 on the right), 9 were mature and all fertilized. We ended up with 5 that made it to blast. None of them made it to a viable pg.

I want to get started on supplementing, etc as we prepare for our next round in the summer.

Leora- Yes I ovualte on my own usually between 28-30 days, I think last time I Was on estrace but not sure if I was on anything else since it has been a while since i have done a FET, hopefully this is the cycle for both of us So glad your E levels look good and that your Follies are doing better

Lauren319- You are too funny you have ne cracking up over here about the NANA and wiping blue lol I havent had to do the tabs or shots .. I dont think I could handle them...

Wehavehope- I am doing well trying to be patient while waiting for all my test results...

Kynlee - yes I'm doing a "natural FET" & he had me start 20ml shot of Lupron (I choose every morning) cause evenings I'm never home at around the same time to do it.. I started last Friday. They said to call when I start my AF (which I hope it's Sunday , Monday or Tuesday! For planning purposes. Then he said Transfer is 17days after I start AF..
What does Lupron do besides making me gain weight! I feel like I gained 8lbs since Friday!

Blue: you are amazing. Well done on all your training and your new jeans, you deserve them I must get that book for dh. You asked about improving sperm quality. Coq10 is important and magnesium and zinc. Also no caffeine, alcohol or stress - no problem then!!!!!

Lauren319: your turn of phrase is funny but your experience isnt. Are you having any sort of downtime/relaxation, etc?

You know, I’ve dreamed so many times the day I joined you on the Pregnant After Treatment board and then you moved on the Parents After Treatment board and still that day hasn’t come for me yet... I get sad sometimes more than others but no matter what I can never lose hope that the day I am going to share my babies stories with you is not that far! You know what they say that hope dies last, well I am holding on to that and can’t let go. Miracles happen every day and I know, feel, hoping, that I will get mine soon! What else is there but for hoping, right? Oh! Margi I am SO happy your beautiful California babies are growing so well and Lou, Chloe is just gorgeous! Amanda- Yeah baby! Looks like you are doing a very good job this cycle! I am looking forward to yours and your donor’s fert report. Sounds like you have a good plan with this donor honey. I am crossing everything for you! This time is going to be IT! Mark my words! ...I had an x colleague that had Lupus and it ain’t easy peasy. But she was into so many things I found it amazing! She was a Gym freak, a super mom and excellent at her job. I always told her she was my hero and she always laughed at me. When she got pregnant with her 2nd child the doctors told her that it was too risky for her to have that baby due to Lupus (during Pregnancy she wasn’t allowed to take her meds and do her Lupus shots because those would hurt the baby and other complications she had during her 1st pregnancy) but she insisted on keeping it and whatever happens, happens. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and as soon as he came to the world she went back to her meds and everything went well... You should write that book! Why not! After my 3rd failed IVF I started writing a ‘book’ with our story – step – by step – describing all the heart ache and drama from day one infertility came into our lives and I know the 'book' is to have a happy ending I just don’t know when that will be!...even if I never publish it, I find it very therapeutic at this phase of my life.

Lauren319 – So are you getting used to the PIO shots yet? I was on PIO shots during my 5th IVF together with prog pessaries and it wasn’t fun AT ALL! so I feel you girl! even though that wasn’t the plan at the beginning of my cycle, at the beginning of the 2ww I was slightly spotting and my RE thought that it will be better if we added into the cocktail and PIO shots. Fun fun fun! The things we do to have a baby! Thursday is just a day away! GOOD LUCK honey!!! I sent you TONS of sticky vibes!!!



Annashope- Oh honey thank you so much for your kind words and wishes! They mean so much to me! Well as for my next cycle, ...is coming soon I guess The plan is once I get a job we are starting our 8th cycle and hopefully the bring home baby one! But is taking SOOOOO longggggg to find a job!!!! its insane! Whatever! We are starting soon! If I get one of those job I am being interviewed now, then I am thinking maybe Sept...we’ll see. Oh! I am so glad your Easter miracle is growing up nicely! You are going to be a mama for a 2nd time! Isn’t that great!

DH and I part:
Not that much going on here girls... We had a lovely weekend and spend some quality time with DH. We stayed home all weekend and DH was up in his office at the attic writing his book and I made lunch and he had a break and then I was outside reading my book in the garden (have I mentioned that we have like 30 Celsius degrees around here already! ) We had our first swim in the pool this Sunday and it was very refreshing. I gave him his own time/space to focus on his book and he appreciates that of course by having small breaks to chit chat with me and come downstairs to kiss me We watched our movies at night and even though he has spend more time writing and less with me which I didn’t mind because when he did he was 100% with me and that is what matters at the end. Monday he went to work and Tuesday was a Bank holiday (1st of May – Labour day) and he was busy at home writing his book all morning, I made roast beef for lunch and ate at the veranda, we watched the latest episodes of ‘The good wife’ and ‘House’ and in the afternoon we visited our godsons (2 different families) we left the house of the last one at 8pm and we went to ‘Wagamama’ for some Japanese and then back home to watch the movie ‘Shame’. Realy, realy weird movie, mostly because we didn't expect that kind of plot (like watching a porn movie actually! ) but we liked it very much! And that wasn’t because of the sex in the movie. It was very well played! The actor was even nominated for the Golden Globe award. You should see it if you haven’t still.

BTW do you have any movies to recommend?

Job part:
I had 2 interviews last week and I guess they went pretty well. (not that it matters nowadays ) I am still waiting for that 2nd call for interview from the University position and it’s like taking FOREVER! WTF! They already told me that I passed the first interview and they will call me for the second one...2 weeks ago!...seriously! I mean, if you want to hire somebody then do it! don’t waste peoples time and raise hopes if it’s going to take you months and months to make a decision to hire! It doesn’t sound professional to me! I have already called on Monday and asked when to expect the 2nd interview to be and they just told me that they will let me know. So more wait! I received an e-mail from Marcus Evans last Friday telling me that the position I was interested is now full but they have another one opened (Marketing & PR Coordinator for Marcus Evans Europe team) and they liked my CV and skills etc and if I haven’t found a job yet and the job interest me to let them know to arrange to see me. So more wait for me!

Miscellaneous part:
In the mean time, the past 2 weeks I have painted the house on the outside and the wooden fence around the house and did some pretty serious gardening I found this amazing pedestrian street in that looks like it came out of a Monet painting and it is only 7 min with the car from my house and I go 4 times a week for a power walk. This is my second week so far. I go with a cousin of mine at 7pm but today I went this morning because she is going a trip to the States tomorrow for 10 days. Actually she is going with her husband in Indianapolis for their son’s Bachelor graduation from Purdue University. Lucky her! So, it started raining on my way back this morning and it was awesome walking in the rain! I physically I feel great lately and that is the only good news happening right now! Hell I’ll take anything! Between the job search and the IVF anticipation journey to begin at least something is making me feel good!...besides my loving DH of course!

Anton- Thank you so much for your thoughtful post, you should join your husband and write books together... Seriously, you really should! Ironically as I read your post it started raining down here and I mean pouring down rain, so much my precious Vegas started whining for me to bring her inside. I spent the morning talking to my best friend from AL making plans with her to come see me in 3 weeks. She really cracks me up, I told her I would take her 8 yr old daughter to visit Zoo World, she said what about a botanical gardens and I said yes we have that and it's only $1,she quickly responded well let's do that! I mentioned to her that we could go out for pedicures she said well I have everything we need, why not lit some candles and bring out the footspa and treat ourselves to pedicures on your back patio. She really cracks me up but I love her creativity with candles. I told her I know someone that does Mary Kay facials so I'll call her and set up a time. I want to pick up Belles and make it a fun day for her too. Maybe even ask if she would want to spend the night over here with the girls. Lol I would almost feel like I'm kicking dh out for the weekend. But I'm so excited about them coming!!!! Almost so excited I forgot I have a job but hopefully my boss will met me off 4 days! Anyway this was suppose to be a "personal" to you, lol not exactly sure how I got sidetracked? Anton- I love your outlook on life and your positive attitude is certainly contagious to everyone around you! Oh and I must must check out that movie you talked about! Ahem what did your dh think about it and did it bring your closer in the bedroom? omg sorry for being open-minded but they say these things can help to.

Annashope- Awww I'm sorry to read you are having morning sickness. I hope there is something you can take to help relieve that. Yay next u/s is this Friday? As for us, I have 2 natural cycles before IVF officially starts in July. Tentative date for ER is scheduled July 23rd. I told dh we should just go ahead and move it up one month b/c of my birthday. He said a month won't make that much of a difference and I have everything already scheduled at work to take a week off, he doesn't think I should change everything now and I'm so busy working 40 hrs time is really flying by. Also someone referred dh to teach AP classes at a local high school starting on Monday, it's a temp position for now that could turn into full-time. But right now they told him it's for the summer so we'll see but glad the college is keeping him on for one more year so he has time to research other jobs.

Leora- How did the sNs go today? I absolutely cannot wait for next week to get here for you!

Kynlee- I love playing "words with friends" lol I have 4 games going on right now. How's that purse you're crocheting coming along?

AFM: Thinking about Cinco de Maya and craving a margarita right about now, but really "trying" to be good!

Need some help here.....
I'm on Lupron daily since Friday (today was shot #6) I did my weekly acupunture last night & as he starting taking the needles out he told me wow your bleeding & have red spots at the needles (which I never have) then he takes the needle out of my right hand (between my thumb & pointer finger) & I had a HUGE mass! I could barly move my fingers & my hand started to swell fast! I couldn't put my hand in a fist & I had no strength also.. He first thought he hit a vein but there was no brusing & then said he probably got the muscle? I iced my hand all night & can now do a soft fist & the swelling went down some but it's still really weak! I started googling to see what it could be & I did find 1 story that a guy did all these tests after this happened to him & it turned out to be just a allergic reaction. This was my 10th session but the only difference is the Lupron I'm on . Has anyone experienced this?? Typing with only my left hand is hard!! Ughhhh...

Anton- I get all my test results on the 9th hoping for good news so I can get started for my FET.. Its My Anniversary in June so that would be something else we could celebrate if I ended up with a BFP Crossing my fingers that you get the cal back from the University soon, that stinks that you have to wait so long for 2nd interview... Have you seen the Vow with Tatum Channing I loved it if you havent seen it check it out ( I did cry during parts of it )

Christy- Still working on the purse that is my side project right now I am working on Christmas gifts for all the Kids I have already done about 8 scarfs and 2 hats Sounds like you have a Fun weekend planned for you and your Best Friend, 3 weeks will be here soon I love Words with Friends I have about 15 games going right now
