furmomma - Getting AF symptoms are very common in the 2ww.. That's what makes the 2ww so unbearable because the PIO give off AF as well as preggo symptoms. You have a very good chance of this working with DE so hang in there and GOOD LUCK!!!

thanks. I think while i had the symptoms I worried something was wrong, now I dont have the symtpoms and I worry something is wrong. OMG what a nightmare.
I still feel bloated but I think it was because my diet in Argentina was so different from my home diet plus my re told me not to walk the 4 miles daily I liked to walk while I was in argentina.
Has anyone in the over 40 group heard of "low cost IVF" in Georgia? I am the kind of person who gets through a tough time by making a plan for what to do if my first plan fails?

Kamina: Hello!!! How are you doing?!

Jan: Glad to hear that you have plans! Having more than one plan is a great way to go. Hoping all goes well with BOTH adoption and FET in December. Keep us posted.

Furmomma: Welcome! How are you doing? When is your beta? Seems like it should be about now. I have everything crossed for you!! I don’t know about the low cost plan specific to Georgia, but I know there are several different types of programs out there.

AFM: Ladies, after a very LONG and difficult pregnancy, my two blessings have arrived!! I had the SCH for the first half of the pregnancy that made me so frightened I would lose them. Then, towards the end I ended up with severe case of Pre-eclampsia. I was hospitalized for it, and then ended up going into labor the next day, at 33w3d. I was terrified, but my beautiful two children were born via c-section (as Baby B’s HR wasn’t responding well to contractions). It was a good thing I didn’t labor with them, as Baby B...my sweet boy...had a “true” knot in his cord. Doctor was very shocked at delivery. Apparantly this is fairly unusual, and if the knot had tightened, it could have had tragic results for my dear boy. But all is well. They are both in the NICU but thriving even better than could be expected for their gestational age. At 12 days old, they are breathing on their own and are taking all their feeding via bottle or breast. No more tube feedings or IVs. As soon as they mature a bit, and my little girl stops “forgetting” to breathe during feedings--which is normal for preemies--they will get to come home! Probably another week to ten days or so.

My DH and I feel so blessed!!! We welcome: Sofia 3 lbs 9 oz and Levi 3 lbs 6 oz.!!!! They are just perfect beyond words.

Greetings! and Blessings to All :D

I've been MIA and the boards have been ablaze with activity.

Margi-congratulations! Tears in my eyes, I'm so happy for you and your DH (((((HUGS))))).

My apologies I do not have much time for an extended post. My heart goes out to the ladies that have recently experienced BFNs. Know that you are in my prayers.

AFM-Not much as changed--I am still looking for employment. DE/IVF/ICSI on hold indefinitely--economy sucks [especially when I've been out of the work force for 3+ years-it's hard realizing/accepting that I'm over educated and have no valuable skill sets]. Still praying for another wee one to enter ourlives--still trying to keep to the healthy diet and supplements, added royal jelly to the regimen [will be modifying this as well]. Gaelic football season has come and gone, no more distraction from all this; time to heal all the weekend warrior wounds. DH doing well and still employed; DD still continually impresses and entertains us on a daily basis. She turns three in ten days. I can not believe how fast these three years have gone. She keeps asking if she can drive the truck, hahahaha.

A big shout out to Caroline, Yasmina and Tammy.

Glad the board still lives on. U go girl, U GO!

Cheers!

Hi Margi, Came by to see how you were doing. Congrats on your son and daughter. They look adorable. That long bed rest was well worth the wait.

AFM- We are trying TCM, since we got off the IVF roller coaster. I'm willing to actively try for 1 more year, before moving on. Not ready to give up yet.

Wow, it's been so long that I have not visited our site. Today, I logged on just to see how everyone is doing. Surprised, shocked, sad, and happy.

First of all, congratulations to Margi26. It's not an easy journey during your pregnancy, but I am glad your precious Sofia and Levi are finally here, safe and sound! Premies are difficult to take care of but from your post, they are both thriving and able t to breath on their own. That is great. You sounded very confident and strong. Take care and come back whenever possible.

Furmomma, it's so sad to hear your news. 20K of hard-earned money is gone, but in ivf days, I was getting over each failed cycle by thinking that the money did not belong to me and I can always earn it back. However, the aging issue is something that I cannot control and very difficult for me to handle. I have posted few of these on my website (see link in my profile attached). You can check them out.

Catharine and Caroline, so glad to see you here to share views and insights with everyone.

Jan, good luck on the Dec. cycle and I am glad that you are starting the adoption process. I believe my ivf babies would have never come to us without my agreeing on adoption. That's wonderful.

Adrian and To have Fun 08, Good to meet you here. Good luck on your next cycles.

Everyone else that I missed, have a great holiday season!

hi yasmina. Good to hear from you. I read some of your blogs just now and it was like reading a novel. I really enjoyed it. You should write a book. AFM my daughter is 2 now. we tied after she was born to have another but no luck. I was scheduled for a hspg today but doctor called and cancel. rescheduled for wednesday. i just turned 44 so my chances are slim i know. not doing ivf again. still paying for the last one two years ago which failed but ended up getting prego on my own following month. just gonna keep trying natural maybe a little clomid or something. we are luck to have our daughter and if we dont have another one we are happy with her. my cycles are getting longer in between which isnt a good sign. just shows me old age is catching up. a hard fact to accept. Glad you are doing well.

Hello Ladies,

It has been a very long time since I have been on the boards. It has been a very busy semester for me,
as I am teaching 4 classes.

Big congrats to Margi!!! Your twins are adorable.

Hello to Yasmina, CarolineP, Mrs. Cutter, Catherine and anyone else that I missed.

AFM, Andrew is in preschool and will start kindergarten next year. I can't believe it. Time sure does
fly by. I think I posted that we decided to withdraw from the adoption program before we got our
referral. We would have received the referral 2/2011 and probably would have gone to China in April/May 2011.
I am fine with the decision, as I feel that it was the right one to make for our family at that particular time.

My sister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer is now cancer free!! She went through chemo first and then had a
mastectomy. She is currently going through the reconstruction process. It was truly an answer to prayer.

Take care all,
Tammy

Tammy good to hear from you. So glad your sister is cancer free. I dont know if it was her choice to not to just lumpectomy but enitre breast but feel its a better choice most of the time. In my job i see it come back after lumpectomy. It depends of type of cancer but i think see is wise. I am so glad she is doing good. Praise God. Andrew sure is growing up. Time flies on this board. Its nice hearing from some of you that i counted on several years ago. Sounds like you are a busy bee. Wish the best for you and your family. AFM stil trying to get another miracle the olf fashioned way. take care. keep in touch.

Hi guys, so glad to see our old veterans here!

Mrscutter, thanks for stopping by blog site. I wrote some posts about our ivf journey, it's simply unforgettable. Glad you liked some of them.

Tammy, happy to know you are still watching. Busy is good nowadays, so many people are less lucky...Happy tp know your sister is cancer free. My mom died of cervical cancer at age of 56, I hate cancers! Send your sister my best wishes!

Is it easy for you to decide where to send Andrew? We had such a hard time. We are moving by the end of the year to another school zone so that DD will start her k in a better school zone. However, we are still undecided. We may wind up sending her to private school...

Hope every one comes back to chat from time to time! I miss you all!

If I won't post again before Xmas, merry Xmas and happy new year to every one!

MrsCutter: My sister made the decision to remove the entire breast, as that was recommended to her. She is doing great and is wanting to make most of the food for our Christmas Day lunch, since she has not felt like cooking for a long time.

Yasmina: Deciding which school to send Andrew has caused a lot of discussion at our house too. I am leaning towards a private school as well. It is a Christian school and has a good reputation. What really made me look at private schools is the class sizes at the public schools. In our school district, his school had 5 kindergarten classes of 24-25 children each last year. That is one teacher for 25 kids! They had one teacher's aide that rotated between all 5 classes. This past March Andrew was
diagnosed with SEVERE peanut and tree nut allergies. This is one of the reasons that I am leaning towards a private school, as they have smaller class sizes. His preschool also has kindergarten, but I think it would be better to start him in the school where he will go to 1st grade instead of switching him after kindergarten. I think Andrew will do better in a smaller setting.
Good luck on your decision! By the way, my DH really wanted him to go to public school, as our tax dollars pay for it, etc.

Hello to everyone else.

Merry Christmas !
