N77 That's wonderful that 13 fertilized. What a great rate. Usually you lose more than that. Go Girl. I'm sure they'll freeze some, and normally about 70% survive the thaw, but yours sound super strong, so I bet you'll be suprised. Those embies are fighters! You're on your way to a strong BFP! Good luck hon!

Snowwhite: Congrats on AF. Glad to hear you're on your way.

Hopeful: I'm thinking of you. You must be feeling really sick. That's a ton of eggies. Rest up dear! It's hard to tell how many days you'll need aftert ET, as you had a lot of eggs retrieved. You had quite a scare too. Just do as your Dr. and your body says. Take as much time as you need. I remember my cycle 16 years ago, I was really young and had 17 eggs to retrieve. Back then that was a ton, as IVF hadn't been around that long, and the technology wasn't what it is today. I was definitely over stimmed, and could barely walk. I was doubled over. I took off the whole two weeks. I needed it. You'll know when you're ready to go back. Don't worry about your job. I told mine I'm having some minor surgery. Didn't tell them about IVF. You have to do what's best for you not them. :-) Take care and get lots of rest. I hope you're feeling better soon. Good Luck with ET!

Doddo: Good Luck tomorrow. 5 embryos sound great. Hope that 5th one divides nicelely. Some do grow slower. A girl on the Dec/Jan thread had only one frozen and they thawed, it didn't look good at first but then came around, and she's preggo now.

Charlie: Glad to hear you had a great birthday. You certainly deserved it!

Croella: I'm going to do just that, what my body tells me. Last night I did have two sips of wine off my husbands glass. I think I'm ok, being that I haven't transferred yet. I can not give up my morning two cups of coffee, but that's all the caffeine I drink. I'm not a soda drinker. I am going to go back to work right away this time, as last time I sat home for a week, and it made the 2ww drag even more. UGH! I went crazy.

Annie: BEAUTIFUL BABIES! I believe they're smiling too. I can see it. :-)
Take care girls. I'll update you on my scan tomorrow. Grow eggies grow!!

Donna and Susan - Todays our day! Lets go get our little babies back and tuck them in nice and warm.:D :D (Susan - I so have the same dh - needs lots of help as cleaning is not his talent!!)
STICKY STICKY STICKY!!! Image

N77 - Thank you so much for the well wishes. You had the most fabulous fert report. You must be so happy. I bet they all do great. Sometimes a few don't grow well (that's my difficulty), but you have plenty even if that happens. Congrats!! The progesteron is used to support the uterine lining and prevent it from shedding - ie AF. It also can make boobs gi and tender

Snowwhite - Welcome to the world of poking! They started me on lupron and follistim the evening of day 3 too. Good luck and sending you the folly fairy.

HOpeful - I hope you're feeling better and taking it easy. My goodness you know how to put out the eggs. Maybe send a few my way?!?!

BWHD - Have a drink for me! Maybe a nice after dinner liquer? I think I'm off everything with the transfer today! Good luck on your scan tomorrow!

CroElla - How are your stimms doing? I loved your photo critique! Althoug a doubld chin can be quite cute on these little ones!!

Rebecca - I'm checking again before ET to hear your news. I know it can be the most agonizing phone call for fertililzation report. My first IVF had 0 fertilize (they did resuce icsi) and we were absolutley devastated and I haven't recovered from that fear. Sending the fertilization thougths to all your little ones :D :D I have a very good feeling about them!

emp, It's going well. I have my 3rd scan tomorrow. My right oavary is producing really well, and my left is really slow. Last cycle they couldn't get to anything in my right because I had blood vessels in the way, so I lost a ton of eggs. Hopefully they'll get to it this time. If not, I'll probably only get a few eggs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm hoping fifth time is a charm. How about you?? I too am on pins and needles. needles literally. heee heee

I had the same problem this round - L was basically asleep at the wheel while the R ovary went gangbusters and I actually got mild OHSS as a result! go figure. We xfr'd 4 embies on day 3 (why not, right??!!) 1 8c, gr.3 (1-3, 1 being best), 1 6c, gr. 2, 1 6c, gr. 3 and 13c, gr. 2. - none to freeze. Seems we're on the same boat here - i turned 41 in Dec.m DH is 38 (so, he keeps reminding me... :) ) Beta is 4/21... They had me on a ganirelix cycle this time - so no BCPs - just dove right in with the stimming on day 3 of period. I kind of like that better - not so much agonizing wait time and less drugs overall.

We're hoping this works for us and trying to keep up the positive thoughts!

Cheers,
Lisa
