I had another ultrasound today. I have 10 follicles forming so far. She said my uterus lining is thickening up real good. She said that I am responding very well...and that both ovaries are responding very well. So good to hear. She called this afternoon to say my estradiol level is now 596. Medications stay the same. My next visit is on Monday. Does anyone know what estradiol level 596 at 6 days of stimming means? The nurse said it was good...however, I am curious if it is a little high or not for 6 days.

Originally I thought that I would stim on meds pretty quickly like I did for IUI. So instead of ER being on Monday as I was guessing....it will more likely be on Thurs or Friday. So I guess I gotta take these shots a little longer than I thought I would.

I was due for ER on wed or thurday and I am doing it saturday. I responded really well in the begining and things my levels went a little nuts. So they coasted me and had me change add a shot to lower my progesterone. In the end all is well (so far) So everything will work out. Im glad im done with shots for a little while anyways. Kbear: YEAHHH!!! so glad the embies are staying strong! Remember cut the fresh pineapple into five pieces (middle trunk and all) Then eat one section everyday for five days!!

Crap! I'm gone for a day and sooo much has happened. Some of you triggering tonight. Some last night. Geez. I can't keep up. Congrats and good luck to all of you gearing up for ER. And those of you getting ready for ET

To elaborate on my visit Thursday. My b/w was a 30 (very suppressed) and they also counted 14 follies (antrafollicles). I asked the nurse what the heck that was and she said that they are sacs (follies) but just not at all developed. She told me that for my age I am crusin' right along. They are usually happy with 10. So I'm really excited.

I am keeping all of you in my prayers and I will be back on track with all of you tomorrow when I return to Houston. {{{{hugs}}}}

Tammy - 10 follies for me too! Very exciting! My level was low at 750 on day 8 of meds but then it shot up :0 so don't worry about the levels too much right now, everything changes day by day

ME - Got ER this morning, had 10 folies and got 7 mature eggs out of it They will call me tomorrow with the status of fertilization, we are doing ICSI - lots of positive vibes please!
It was easy to do the ER, slept the whole time and woke up with some cramps. I am still woozy from the meds but feel fine and I am going to take it easy all day. DHH is being awesome. Feels like mild AF right now.

I used the numbing cream for the PIO and didn't feel a thing! Nothing! So if you want the name of the cream I can go dig it out!

I breezed through the last postings so if I forgot anyone, sorry, I will catch up tomorrow

I am so relieved...AF is here, so i am starting my stim meds tomorrow as planned! Any last minute advice? i hear menopur stings...does icing it help??

Okay, I have not updated in FOREVER! So sorry to all I had a few bumps in the road and have been in bed for a few days.

CONGRATS TO ALL! I read most of the posts and everyone seems to be on schedule for the most part!! YAY!!!

Well I had ER on Wednesday and got 12 follicles. 10 were good 5 are GREAT to where they are fertalizing at the right rate. Tomorrow I get 2 or 3 put back in. Not sure how many yet but I am only 23 so most likely on 2. Any ideas or comments on the amnt they put back in at my age? I just dont want to end up with 6 kids! lol. But Thursday at 5AM I work up in the worst pain in my life! I was so bloated and could not breathe because my organs were so swollen! I ended up going to the ER and got pain meds to where I could breathe again. The dr. said my ovaries were so huge and rubbing up against the perini (something or other) which makes everything else hurt and swell as well. So they gave me great pain meds which tonight is the last night I can take them since the put the eggs in tomorrow. SO wish me luck! And hopefully to all you women out there about to get the ER done I hope nothing like this happens to you!! *prays*

How long does your calendar say you'll be on it. Mine is supposed to be 8 days....i guess i can do it! Do the moodswings go away soon after you stop taking the meds? i'm a little freaked out - can you tell?

I heard the numbing cream is called EMLA - i think i read abot it on this site. it's perscription

I'm 24 and my husband and I decided to put just 1 back in (if the embryologist says that it's a strong one). my RE said that at my age they don't put back more than 2 anymore. we did lots of reading on this, and i found some studies that said that you only have a 2% higher chance of getting pregnant with putting back 2 vs just 1. we would be ok with twins but really just want 1 healthy baby. twins are a riskier pregnancy also.
so we'll see how the embryos look but at this point, the plan is to put back 1.....we'll do 2 if we have to - max. and even if you do put back 1, there's a chance of it splitting to twins anyway - especially if you do a day3 tranfer

Thanks 21bat. Yeah I am a little nervous about 3 lol. He said most likely 2 which is fine with me. I did not know there was a higher chance of splitting at day 3 transfer though! Thanks for that information!

Hey girls!!

21bat: Don't mean to scare you! I can't even remember if the gonal affected me last time, but lots of ppl say it makes them like an emotional basket case! I think I will be on them the same amount of time. I forget how many days before ER you stop? anyone know?? I forget if you are using the pen. It sooo much easier than mixing, but a little stressful when it comes to injecting b/c you can't really see the amount you are putting in, so I am a bit stressed.

Suga: That is horrieble!!! Didn't your RE notice their size during the u/s? You poor thing! So sorry you had to go through that! I pray there is no more pain! Good luck on the ET tomorrow How did the PIO shots go???

21bat: Glad AF came just in time, see all that worrying for nothing I know you are so relieved.

Rio: 7 is a great number; rest up and make dh do all of the work!

Weezie: 14 is great! DO start stimming today or tomorrow??

I started gonal tonight and was a bit stressed making sure I primed the pen right! Then I expected to push the thing all the way in, but it didn't go in all the way, but I pushed real hard. I hope that is right! It is tough not seeing how much of the meds actually goes in. It also bled a bit. I do the Lupron at a 45 degree angle and never get blood. I wonder if the 90 degree angle with the gonal cause the bleeding... I go in Tuesday for an u/s, but am curious how long I will have to be on Gonal. I only have 1800 units. At 300 units a night that will only last me 6 days. Will I have to buy more??? ER is still se for 1/28 unless my follies are stubborn.

Ok, must go get ready for the classes I am teachign tomorrow! I hope everyone else has a great relaxing week!

i'm using the gonal-f pen also...in the evening, and menopur in the morning. menopur is the one i need to mix and i am really nervous about it - i start tomrorow at 6:45am i am more worried abot the pain. i am on the gonal-f and menopur for 8 days (through the 27th). my tentative retrieval is 1/30 and day 5 transfer is 2/4
are your dates abot the same?
are you on menopur also? when you mix the powder and liquid, will you be using the entire amount each injection? i am instructed to take 1 unit, and i got tons of the monpur bottles so i do think it's 1 bottle/day...but thats a lot of medicine!!!!

are you guys staying on the same amount of Lupron when the stim meds started? my nurse first said to decrease from 10 to 5, but yesterdat she said to keep it at 10. is this what you're doing also?
