I feel down. Sometimes i want to give up just because I hate the way the meds make me feel but I cant I want to be a mother. Someone to say I love you to in the mornings, kiss on the forehead at night. My greatest desire it to feel a baby's kick and to hear their first cry when they are born. I want to be in the position and choose not to give up. I am one crazy emotional woman with serious mood swings. Haha these meds make me a little  . I go for my 1st u/s b/w since starting stims. I will be sure to keep everyone updated!

I have my 1st appt tomorrow since starting stims too. I have turned out to be a huge chicken when it comes to the needles. I really did not think I would have a problem giving myself the shots but.... it has been tough. The first shot my dh was laughing so hard. It took me 20 minutes of attempting b4 I had my dh go ahead and give it to me. It was not painful at ALL! So the next night I go to give myself the shot and again 20 minutes later finally do it but didn't do it as gracefully as my dh bc I immediately bruised and it itched. Soooo tonight I try to give myself the shot and chickened out again!!! My dh gave me the shot and again no problems!!! I would just let my dh give me the shots everynight but he goes out of town one night a week!! The side effects have not been bad at all so far. I have a slight headache right now and have teared up twice in the last 2 hours over stuff that I should not be crying over! So overall not so bad!! I'll try to do personals tomorrow, I'm about to fall asleep!! I wish you all a wonderful week!!

Jenn LB25: I'm praying for you

Waiting for 4: Sometimes we have good days and sometimes we have bad days. When you have the bad it just feels good to vent it out so you can move on. I wish you lots of luck and try to keep positive. Yeah at those rough times it seems rough. I used to hate it when someone who doesn't know what I'm going through would tell me that. So If I heard it from anyone of you guys on here it means a bit more. Chin up gal :)

Ct: Thank you for the info. Good luck with your meds and wishing you lots of baby dust :)

Espinoza: If it makes you feel better to get it looked at again then go ahead and do it. You need to be comfortable and try to relax and if that helps relax you do it :) Also good luck on the FET :)

Molly: thats crazy. You had 10 follicles one day and then the next day you produced more to make 23. Our bodies can produce them like that, that is so crazy. I can't wait to hear back from you. Maybe I read it and understood that wrong :) I'm a bit slow sometimes :) Also good luck to you too. Are you doing ICSI? Is this your first cycle?

DNT: I am so sorry to hear your news. My heart breaks for you. I hope you can raise your spirits soon and jump back on the cowboy :) you like my analogy :) I'm trying to make you smile :) Ps listen to Waiting for 4's advice too :)

Lady_J: First of all I love your organization on this board, love it, love it!!! I was trying to do that on my own in excel and then I saw yours so I stopped. It's so nice to see who is at what stage. Thank you also for the warm welcome :) Now about what were all here for :) The meds they have on my caladar is FSH on about feb 11th is when they project I will start them. They gave me this calandar on my very first visit so I've just been following it :) They didn't say anything much about me haveing 5 follies on each side. The doc just mentioned, "oh looks like you have 5 resting follicles on each side" Thats all. What is PCOS?

aspotofTea: Your story is hearbreaking. I'm sorry you had to go through that. That has got to be difficult. You probly should tell them the process you are going through so they can be more sensitive to you. People told us it's probly better not to tell, but we told family and friends so they can help support us. We ofcourse were a bit embarrased at first, but now it's like yeah this is what we are doing. We were haveing trouble doing it the normal way so this is what we have to do. Try to remember to stay relaxed and keep stresses in a distance if you can. Well good luck!!!

Good luck to everyone and I wish you all lots of baby dust!!!

PS Can someone tell me what does BETA mean? I haven't taken the shot class yet so maybe thats something I'll learn then or in the Embyo class.
I'm 26 -DH 27

LOL! Yes you heard right I had 10 on Sunday and 23 yesterday. I guess I had more on Sunday, but too small too measure. I was really super worried, on Sunday when they told me 10 eggs, and my lining was 8.9. They said your lining being 7.0 is good, but seeing people on here have much higher then that made me worry. Yesterday my lining was 11.8. I left the doctor's office so happy. They called later in the day and reduced my dose some to 150 of Gonal F at night, and 75 in the morning with my Ganeralix. Yes this is my first IVF, but as I mentioned before I use to be an egg donor, so I am kind of an old pro at the shots. That is also why it made me so nervous when they said I had only 10 eggs on Sunday.

We are doing IVF do to male factor, and I am even using the place I donated my eggs at. They were super good to me back then, so of course when we had our own problems I went right back to them. My estradol level went up to 1130 yesterday, so I guess I will have ER later this week.

I will write personals later. Good luck everyone. I have to get ready to go get my blood work and ultrasound.

CA- Thanks for the pep talk... sometimes it just helps to be reminded that this really isnt that hard- its just the meds talking.

I heard from my nurse late last night. I had to drop my Follistim to 37 units! down from 175, that seems pretty low. She said my estrogen looked good and they wanted to keep it there. I think it was either 3,245 or 3,425... I dont know what that means. We are still shooting for a Friday ER, this should let the little follicles catch up.

DH and I decided to go to Austin this weekend to get away from SILs baby shower stuff. I just cant deal with being around this right now. She showed me a US of her baby yesterday and I nearly broke down. I still have my US from my baby and I wish he could have stuck around. I miss being able to go to the dr's office to see him... m/c BLOWS.

Mandeekins – Try to enjoy this 2WW!! Its impossible not to worry. I was the same way when it came to snow and ice on the roads.

JennLB25 – I’m happy to hear your estrogen went down a little and that your ER is scheduled for Wednesday! If you are not a superstitious person then a BETA on February the 13th is no big deal! Don’t even worry about it! I had OHSS pretty bad with my last two cycles. Apparently I’m a typical candidate for it. I just got my BFP and I read a bunch of horror stories about how it sticks and gets worse during the first trimester. So far it hasn’t gotten worse but I defiantly still have it! My RE tried to prevent it this cycle but obviously was not successful. Honestly I think we have to take the good with the bad. I knew I was getting OHSS but I still wanted them to do my ET and they had no intentions of canceling it. My RE does not seem to be overly cautious when it comes to OHSS...which seems to be the case for many Res. I guess every RE is different.

Rosario – Keep us posted on how your first u/s goes! Best of luck to you. I’m sorry you feel bad sometimes. Sometimes it seems impossible to keep up the PMA. I read a lot of books during my last cycle to keep my mind off things and also did a lot of yoga to calm me down because I was also an emotional wreck. Have you tried any relaxation techniques?

Kcraven – Good luck at your first u/s. The shots will get easier to take. This whole process will be worth it in the long time!

Moll23 – Sounds like things are going well for you! Your ER is right around the corner. How exciting! I didn’t know you were an egg donor in the past…how rewarding! What a great thing to do for people!

waiting for 4 – Stay positive! You are almost done with this cycle and will be pregnant again in no time. Best of luck to you at your ER this Friday.

Lady_J – Thanks so much for keeping the board so organized! I know it takes a lot of time to keep track of where everyone is at in their cycle. It’s almost time for your Lupron! Are you getting excited, nervous, etc?? Hang in there!

As for me…my first BETA last Friday was 369 and my second BETA on Sunday was 939! My RE said its screaming twins. My first u/s is next Monday so we shall see. I had some spotting on Saturday which had me worried ALL DAY!! However my BETA was good on Sunday so hopefully that’s a good sign. I thought my stress and anxiety levels would reduce after the 2WW but NOPE!

Hope you all have a great day!

JennLB- I meant to mention that with my 1st IVF my RE told me women who get OHSS are more likely to get pregnant bc it shows your body is highly receptive to the meds. :) So bring it on!

Well, I took the last HPT test (from a 3 pack) & it was a no go. I haven't even told my DH about these 3. I want at least one of us to be happy for 1 more day.

I really just don't get it. Accupuncture, cut out caffeine, new Dr. I think I'm just going to go full blown into another fresh cycle. I turn the big 40 next month so I don't want my eggs to get too old. I have 4 frozen. So the more I have frozen the better I will feel. I'm also again going to suggest for my Dr to freeze all & wait one month then put frozen ones in. I don't think my body can handle all of these hormones & then a big halt to change the hormones again.

I did get a BFP when we did a frozen cycle last Summer. So I really feel this will be the best route for me.

Good luck to all & lotsa Baby Dust to you all :D :D

SueQiwi - How did your scan go? I also read Inconceivable. It was a good read. I think Toobee suggested it to me after my BFN in Septemeber.

Rosario -I feel your pain. I always feel like crap during stims. I am always ****** and have to watch everything I say so I don't try and start a fight with DH. It isn't his fault I am a wacko on drugs. Just keep going. One day at a time. You will soon be to Er so then no more stimming drugs. You can do it. How did your U/S go?

Molly23 - 5 on each side is good. I don't remember your DX or how old you are but for older ladies 10 follicles is really good. Your E2 numbers are risign nicely so looks like your cycle is goine well. Probably should be triggering soon. Keep us posted

CAFirstInvitro - Welcome to the board. The first IVF is the scariest. as to your questions
1- The follies that they measured at your baseline us are called antral follicles. Yes you can produce more follicles with the stimulation drugs but you can also have less follicles. All depends on how your bodie reacts to the drugs.
2 - "stimming' is where you are taking stimulation drugs, usually gonal F, Follistim or menopure to grow the follicles. Most ladies take stimming drugs from 9 to 14 days. Then they will do a trigger shot, usually ovidrel which will produce and LH surge and then have ER 36 hrs later.
3- Nope BCP's wont stop you from ovulating. looks like you are on the long lurpon protocol. With this you will take lupron after you Ovulate. You will then keep on taking lupron and it should prevent you from ovulating prematurely will on the stimming drugs.
Hope this helps.
Beta - is the blood test that tells if you are PG or not. It measures the HCG in your system. Kind of like a HPT but a lot more sensitive.

waiting for 4 - did they change your protocol this time? I guess your E2 levels are higher then they want and want to slow your growing process down. I have heard of this lots of times. Don't worry I sure you have some really good eggs in those follies. Good luck and have fun in Austin.

JennLB25 - Please watch yourself so you don't get OHSS. I have heard it is not a nice thing to have. Drink plenty of fluids and eat red meat. Good luck at ER.

CT_Michele - YEAH, you get your meds. One step closer and another thing you can cross off your list before you cycle. So what is your protocol going to be?

espinozal23 - I think I would at least have them check your lining before you do the transfer. That would be one less thing to worry about. I thought most RE's did that for a FET but don't know for sure. Glad you are going to be doing a FET so quickly.

DNT0809 - Did you have a 3dt or a 5dt. If you had a 3dt then it still early to get a positive HPT. Don't get down yet, it isn't over till you get your official beta. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Tkat - those are awesome beta #'s. Congrats!!!! I am also thinking 2. We should start a thread with a poll. Put a beta # on the poll and have everone try and guess if it will be 1, 2, or 3 beans cooking. Just to see what eveyone thinks.

kcraven - Congrats on starting stims. I thought i would be a big baby about the shots, but found they weren't too bad. I give them all to myself. I knew my DH didn't really want to do it and I am a control freak so I rather inflict the pain on myself. Plus it is so less stressful during a cycle because DH and I don't both have to plan our schedules around my shots.

Lady_J - You are getting closer to the end of that pack of BCP's. YEAH!!!

As for me, almost 72 hrs since last BCP and still no sign of AF. Make me mad because usually I will spot for 3 or 4 days before I get actual flow. So now I don't think I will start stims till next week. Oh well, can't do a thing about it. We have bad weather here so i am a chicken and called off of work. i just didn't want to drive in the crap and i can make up my time late. I think I am just getting really old and turning into my mother. She also wouldn't drive in bad weather.

Well ladies, I have a lot of work to do here at the office since I'm taking 2 days off (the day of ER and the day after) so I have to make this quick and there is no way I can keep track of everyone's personals. I don't know how you ladies do it, but:

DNT0809
I'm sorry about your BFN on the HPT. I don't know much about your cycle but if your BETA is in another day or so, I would just wait to see the results for that. You may have just had a late plant. Praying for you hun!

waiting for 4
Well then.....bring on the OHSS. Well, maybe not. RE says it can be dangerous and you could lose your ovaries.

Your estrogen levels sound good. My RE said he preferred mine to be in the 3000's but would go ahead with ER anyway. My estrogen is 4200. RE said it's a good problem to have because he said that means lots and lots of eggs to choose from. I guess we'll see.

I'm praying you get to go to ER on Friday!!!! Are you doing a 3dt or 5dt?

Also, I'm sorry about M/C! I can't imagine how hard that is to get over.

TKat
Congrats on your BFP. I pray that you are blessed with a healthy and happy 9 months! 8)

kcraven
Good luck at your appt tomorrow. Grow follies grow!! Good luck!!

Rosario
Wow, I'm right there with you. The last 3 or 4 days have been out of control. One minute I'm crying and the next I want to rip into someone. These hormones pack one huge punch.

Good luck at your appointment! Grow follies grow!!!

aspotofTea
Thanks for the good wishes!! Sorry to hear about MIL situation. I had to plan my little Sis's babyshower. I know how tough it is. We're here when you need to vent.

nursegator
Thanks! Good luck to you as well. I hope everything works out for you.

mandeekins
Good luck w/your TWW!! Prayin for your BFP!!

Lady J
Yes, I agree with everyone. Thank you so so so so much for taking time out to keep up with everyone's cycles! You are a doll!! How are those BCP's treating you? I hope your IVF cycle is a success!!

Ok ladies, I really have to get some work done or the attorneys just may decide to fire me. No, JK, they need me too much. I only say that because they've told me so.

Thanks for the advice. I will be drinking lots and lots of Powerade Zero as RE ordered. I will also do the red meat thing since everyone seems to be saying to eat it.

Hope your AF arrives soon!! I hate all the waiting games that we have to play with this IVF junk.

Oh, and I don't like to drive in this junk either. Snow is pretty to look at sometimes, but driving in it isn't easy or fun.

Good Morning Ladies... Well here I am at work once again counting down the days I can at least begin Lupron and get the feel of the needle once again. I had a nightmare that I had injected myself with a whole bunch of needles on my leg and I enjoyed it... scary!!! Also, I was trying to picture myself PG... how would I feel. I know I have been thru it 10 yrs ago and it was wonderful, but I want to feel it again. I hope so soon.

Dys24.... We haven’t heard from you in a while. So tomorrow is your Beta. Have u done a HPT yet? I am keeping my fingers crossed. I hope this cycle worked out for you. I hope u get your BFP. Let us know as soon as u know anything.

Waitingfor4... Sorry that u have to go thru all that just to avoid the BS (and I mean BabyShower).. lol. But it can also mean BS if u want . I am still so sorry for your loss. You would think that some people would be more sensitive to others feelings. I hope your trip does you good and makes u feel better. We will still be here for you.

praying4BFP... I really do hope u get to do your ER this weekend. When is your next appt?

Mandeekins... Hope your holding up in this 2WW. So do u plan on doing an HPT?

aspotoftea... Hope u r feeling better. I am in kind of the same situation as you. The first time I did tell my MIL. She didn’t seem to enthused about the whole idea. Since she never had a problem having kids, she is ignorant to the process. I guess she figured we would have to use donor eggs opr sperms and she was n’t too happy with the idea.. So I explained the process to her. Anyway, throughout my cycle, she never asked how I was doing. My mother was asking me everyday and concerned. When I told my mom it didnt work, she cried for me. When I told my MIL it didn’t work, it was “oh well”. So this cycle I decided not to mention it to her. My mom knows, but not my MIL. The other day we were there and she decides to ask me when there is a room full of people... SIL, BIL, wives, husbands... she says “hows it going with the Dr.? I said fine, she said “What they tell u? I said nothing. All this while SIL and BIL looking... She sys, What they tell u about the whole baby issue are u going to do it again. I looked at my DH, and he told her “ Not right now, maybe in the future. I was so mad. I didnt’ want to be the center of gossip. I told my DH if she told his sisters and brothers, then that means his Granmother knows, and his Aunt, and God knows who else knows. He said he is going to talk to her to tell her not to tell no one and hopefully she hasn’t. This was a private matter that we shared with her and expect it to stay that way...etc. It’s a longer story, but don’t want to fill the post with it.

Roasrio... u go ahead and vent your butt away. That is what we r here for. I hope u feel better though. These stims can really do some work on us.

Kcraven.... LOL, loved that story. I was too afraid to let DH do my shots... especially seeing his hand shake. So I ended up doing them myself. I just had the nurse draw me 2 circles, one on each side of butt. So everyday I would have my DH circle it again so it wouldn’t dissapear with shower. I would look in the mirror and WaLa!!. The only problem I had was not being able to see if I had blood in needle before I inject. I did hit a vein a couple of times, I only know that becuz when I would pull the needle back out, I would bleed but it was ok. Just make sure u rub ice before so u wont feel needle going in. How did your appt go today?

Molly... congrats on lining and follies. Let us know when your cheduled ER is. Good Luck Hun.

Tkat... there u r hun. How is the PG world treating you. Isnt it great? I wish I was in your shoes right about now. Rub your belly for all of us for good luck. I am excited about starting Lupron. Just 3 more days. Good luck with your next appt. Will they be able to tell if it is more than one by that time? I hope it is twins for you... you can handle it... look at that lady that had 8-tuplets yesterday.... ouch.

DNT... sorry about the negative result. Hopefully it is too soon for an HPT. Good luck at your Beta, there is still hope.

Chris.... Hope u get your AF this week son u can start your stims. Put it this way... you may be doing ER in about 2 weeks.

Well ladies, I hope I didnt forget no one. BBL, I have to get some work done I am way behind.
