Have you all been told to drink a lot of water??, they did not tell me anything in particular about it, I am drinking water now (I used to be a Diet Coke addict  ), but I am not drinking as much as 3L a day, should I????? :?: .
Also, has anyone been told anything regarding having sex (sorry about the question), but I am afraid of doing it and rupturing follicles, ...sorry if TMI

About the water...I was told to drink LOTS of water before and after ER...and after ET. But before that, nothing was told to me??? But, now thinking this time around about drinking more water now too? Has anybody heard anything about while stimming how water helps?

The sex thing..we were told to stop 3 days before ER...and then of course not during th e 2ww. Nothing about during stimming though... they said it was fine.
Keeping the faith!

As far as the water thing goes, I have only ever been told to increase fluids before and after EC/ET, and increase the amount of protein in my diet, that was first time round, the clinic I am with now haven't said anything re dos and donts!

Sex wise I wish I was up for it! There is no way I am having any of that!I am uncomfortable enough!! If you ladies can manage it then great, my boobs feel like they are going to explode and if my belly stretches anymore then those follies will pop of my tummy button!!!!

We did have sex on our 1st cycle during 2ww, but I wouldn't do it again as it is a big psychological paranoia as to why it failed, it probably wasn't anying to do with it, but I am taking no risks!!

Re: water .... I was told to drink a lot of water when stimming to avoid overstimulation. Plus low sodium diet. I'll double check my paperwork when I get home. I'll let you know.

OK, here are my IVF Guidelines:
1. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of fluids (preferably water) per day and a Low Fat and Low Salt diet
2. No caffeine
3. No alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug use :D
4. No prescription or over the counter drugs other than Tylenol unless authorized by IVF doctor
5. Once stimulation injections begin, avoid high impact aerobic activity that involves running, jumping or twisting. Walking is ok.
6. After HCG injection, take your weight daily. call if you gain 2-3lbs from one day to the next.

I hope it helps

Have a quick question..If your cycle gets cancelled do you have to ay the entire IVF amount?

I go for my first US and Labs on Nov 7th with Stims on Nov 9th if all is well.

Just wonder what happens if you have to cancel a cycle.

Thanks for your help

Thank you KF 06!!, It was very useful

Skidoo, if a cycle gets cancelled, if you are paying for each individual IVF then I guess you pay for what you did so far, but if you are doing shared risk (where you can do 6 cycles) then if a cycle gets cancelled it is considered as one of the cycles....hope it helps...

Sugarmama, I did not have any side effects from Lupron, but I heard that some people get headaches, other get hot flashes, etc..

I received the phone call from my clinic, I have to go back on Wednesday for another US and BW, I guess the day of ER is getting closer.....so exited!!!!! :o

sugarmama My lupron made me sleepy. I love it. I take it around 8pm. I sleep so good at night. Maybe that is just the reaction I have to it. Don't be worried.

Hi Sugermama!

I started lupron 2 days ago and have absolutely no side effects. I read all these horrible side effects and decided to ignore them and see for myself. And honestly I feel nothing unusual at all. Hope this helps!!

Sugermama,
My first cycle, the one that got cancelled due to a cyst, I had hot flashes when on Lupron. This cycle no hot flashes but I was very emotional the first week, now I'm back to normal.
