Hi

Well finally finished work until Tue, cant wait to be off. Going to have lunch with 2 friends tomorrow then study in the afternoon. Christmas shopping on Sat then out partying at night with all my work colleagues. Cant say i am really in the mood but have to force myself to go. Havent been drinking for months so should be interesting

Just feel so exhausted at the moment and starting to feel a bit aprehensive as 2 of my friend are due babies in the next couple of weeks. Dreading having to visit---i love holding the babies but feel everyone is feeling sorry for me, its just awful.

Jen - Glad your chlling, hope the sickness is for the right reasons and not the medi

Carolyn - Hope your ok and AF is here soon.

Thinking of you all

Love Jen x

Wow its quiet around here.

Well the shock of the day is----------------i get my op in 4 days
Hospital called and asked if i would like the first shout for a cancelation slot so i jumped at it. So Tuesday i go in at 08.30am and she confirmed i get a general, so will be knocked out yippeee.
Feel a pissed off that i have to have more treatment but at least i wll be a day closer to getting my embies. Dont think i will have FET until January though, to scared i get another neg and cant deal with it at this time of the year??

Also the adoption s/w called and she cant find our paperwork we done last week but will call on Monday and make a date to visit us. Dont know whats in the air today but someone is FINALLY giving us some good luck.

Ok, am off to get some tea but will check in later

Jen1 - that is great news. Glad to hear that things are looking up and that your appointment was bumped up!!!

Sad news for me today. I did an hpt this morning and it came back negative. I am 12dp3dt so I don't think I tested too early. I am crushed. Can't figure out what went wrong. Thankfully my clinic gave us a review appointment on Tuesday so at least I don't have to wait long to know what our next steps will be. I think my RE will suggest another DS cycle but with my results last time (3 fertilized eggs) I am not sure whether we should just go right to DE too. A lot to think about!

Sorry not many personals today, feeling pretty down.

kelly hugs hun...i do think 12 days is too early tho. My doc said that even testing with a pee stick on test day ( day 15 after 2 day transfer) can be negative and still have a positive hcg. HCG less than 15 does not show on pee sticks and anything above 7 is a viable pregnancy...so please do not give up too soon...i have hope for you yet x x x
i can understand you being low tho hun you have been through so much especially waiting on the 3rd embie growing to blast as a 5 day transfer... hugs and much love sweetie x x x

jen good news for you at last...hope all goes well on tuesday for you ...what time? GOOD LUCK with that and the adoption process x x

Rhalloo good luck with ET when is it???? must be sat or sun??? so good luck x x x

Hi to everyone else much love x x x

I haven't been too good today or yesterday very bloated and full of cramps...so as this being day 8 it's past implantation so been a bit low :( sicky feelin on and off still. Enjoyed watching dirty dancing 20th anniversary edition :D :D it alway makes me smile x x x
DH is also being good and we are planning on having a good weekend of long walks with the dog exploring the counrtyside x x at least it will be good to stuff my face with such country delights as sticky toffee pudding and custard ...Mmmm x x trying to keep up the PMA x x

love to ya all

Hi Girls

Kelly- :( I am so very sorry hun, Its just so unfair(Im with jenb, thinking that it still could be too early)
Im pleased that you have your review appointment so soon, hope they will be able to help you in your decision on using de too. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} Take care hun xxx

Jen1- :D Fantastic news about your hysteroscopy! Having it with a general too,you are lucky! Hope you have a fab time at the party and that you enjoy your few days off. The adoption seems to be moving for you too, Im happy that your having some good luck babe. :D xxx

JenB- :D Sorry to hear you've been feeling low and sick with the meds hope that your body gets used to them soon and you start feeling better. Your weekend with dh sounds great, walks in the country and some lovely grub( yum yum sticky toffee pudding mmm) Keep up your PMA babe,Sending you lots of sticky baby dust xxx

Vicki- :D Sorry that your tmt wont be till after xmas :( but Im glad you are looking on the positive side (you'll be able to eat and drink what you like! :D ) and then your BFP can be your new years presant!!! Hope your little swimmers had a good trip to Spain.xxx

rhall00- :D Hope ec went well, cant wait to hear how many eggs you got etc. Is et tomorrow? Good luck for whenever et is. xxx

Carolyn- :D Glad you are finaly off those antibiotics hopefully you will be feeling better soon. Hope af shows up for you soon, babe I am jigging for you. Hope acu went well and that it helps with af. xxx

Hi to everyone else hope you are all well.

I had a fab time with my sister and nieces and the weather was great too :D .
I had a letter off "The Anthony Nolan Trust"(I am registered as a donor) telling me that I am a potential match to a patient who is in need of a bone marrow transplant and they wish to procede to the next and final stage of testing   I phoned today to say ok and now I have to go and give another blood sample to see if I will be the best match. I have a one in four chance of beeing chosen. I am very nervous :? but I have to do it or it was pointless me registering in the first place.
Appart from that nothing much else is happening at the moment, still plodding on  . Finished decorating too, so having a rest this weekend.
Take care
Lots of love

Gill, it's really so great that you are going to be helping someone with bone marrow. What got you interested in being a donor? Hats off to you. It must feel good to be the one who is helping someone else.

JenBabes, hope you are beginning to feel better. Can you believe it... I have NEVER seen dirty dancing. wow, huh? What is toffee pudding? It sounds yummy.

Hi Kelly, will you be going in for blood work? It is early for HPT. Wishing you well. Thinking of you.

Jen, good news about the cancelation. And... January will be here before you know it. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Enjoy.

Yasmina, I ordered the Yoga for fertility DVD. Excited to check it out. I've been taking quite a few yoga classes at my gym and don't feel so much like a beginner anymore. It's amazing how quickly it is coming together. I feel stretched and relaxed. Really enjoying it. Thanks for the advice.

Hi to everyone else out there. Hope you are well. I am sorta in limbo, taking the month off to rest up for next IVF cycle. Expecting AF sometime in mid November. In the meantime, had to have oral surgery today, problem with a previous root canal. Guess it's good that it happened now instead of during IVF cycle. Had to have lots of x-rays, pain killers, etc. Yikes. Feeling a bit woozy at the moment. Enjoy the weekend girls. Hang in there everyone. -chriss

Hi guys, sorry to be MIA for a while! School and work have been really crazy this week so I'm finally getting around to everything else that needs my attention. So the good news: my donor had 30 eggs!! Can't believe it! I called today and 26 fertilized! My friend told me I could be the old woman that lived in a shoe.

My ET is on Sunday in the early morning. Accupuncture 30 mins before and after as well. And I can even get in a good work out Saturday morning! Even better, I have an extra night to finish off my favorite bottle of wine.

Never had sticky toffee pudding, but it sounds amazing. Glad we're on a string of good luck on this board. And I know KellyM is going to give us really good news next week! Can't wait to hear it!!

Sorry I have been quiet - very very busy.

Kelly - as the others have said, it was still early to pee on a stick. So hoping that it is wrong. Will keep everything crossed for you babe. It is so hard towards the end of the second week

Image

JB - you must be stalking me  Hope that you are feeling better and taking good care. I always feel a bit of a dip at the start of the second week. May be it is all the hormones. Or in the 1st week may be you are just flooded with relief that you got to ET and that it is only at this point that it all hits? Anyway just under a week to go.

Rhall - that is absolutely amazing. 30 collected and that fert rate is awesome. Given the numbers are you going to blast? Good luck for transfer - hope that they are safely snuggling in soon. Take it easy
Image

Jen1d - so glad that you have lots lined up for the weekend. Xmas shopping - have done some but have loads more yet to do. May be that is a job to keep me busy next weekend. Sounds like fun with the party/drinking this evening - let your hair down. Plus the op moved up too Tuesday and an adoption meeting too. It is about time that you had some good luck hun
Image

Vicki - glad appointment with my friend the Trewster went well. Sounds like all the tests so far have gone well for you. Sorry that you have to wait but hopefully you'll be able to enjoy Xmas. Hope that your freind is recovering and that you are doing ok with her little boys

Rebecca - it is truely amazing that you got to your second term. Are you starting to realx now? Hope that sickness has let up a bit for you babe

Gill - you are a superstar. After all you have been through to put yourself forward to give bone marrow is awesome. 8) :D I had to have it taken - not to donate but when they were diagnosing my auto immune disorder. They gave me a mild sedative and took it from my back - above my bum. Not sure if it would be the same for you. Was a bit of a weird feeling but beats injecting yourself!!!

Chriss - it is good that you are finding time for you & to get ready for the next round. It takes so much out of us each time. Take good care. Tmt will be here before you know it

Kim - hope that you are looking after yourself. Cannot believe that you and JB test the same day. Let's keep everything crossed that it is a double celebration ahead of next weekend! How are you doing?

Sonia - any news yet on your next steps? Hope that you are having a nice chill out time ahead of tmt

Lucy - Which hotel did you book in the end? Are you all sorted. Hope that you have managed to get all the tests arranged and sent over. Shout if you need more help

Anna - thanks for popping in and cheering us on. You are a very busy lady with Matthew

Big J - would be interested in any info about the TESA if you do drop by. Are you starting soon?

So barmitzvah was ok. Some stupid comments at the party that I really could have done without. People just think that you decide not to have a family - they appear to have no idea that it may be because we cannot rather than we do not want. Anyway. It is a week ago now so has passed. Just takes the shine off such events for me. Would rather go out with people who know so they are at least sensitive.

Anyway was on double pills til Tuesday. Finished all the antibiotics on Thursday. Period is very strange - not like normal - but guess that is the pills/drugs?? Anyway acu on Thursday & more of a bleed yesterday so think that it has started?! Mailed IM and told them I would put the patches on last night which I did. Scan booked for Friday. They mailed me and said that all was organised and just to enjoy the weekend  Then an hour later they sent me a note of the costs of the TESA and DE cycle. OMG. Collected balance of cash from bank yesterday as they would only give me Euro 6,000 in one go!!!! Both times they asked me if we were off on a major holiday  I just said best not to even ask  So we now have Euro 11,000 in our safe. Wanted it arranged in good time so that if they tell me at short notice then it is one less thing to worry about.

We have a busy weekend lined up. SURPRISE. Have been to work already. Had to open the offices as the air con is messed up. Dh is playing golf. Then we are off early afternoon to stay with freinds who I used to work with down near Brighton. We will stay over. It is a great bunch so really looking forward to it and they all know what we are going through and are cool. We will have brunch with them all tomorrow and then come back. Then dh is off to the American football at Wembley tomorrow afternoon/evening. Not going with him as not a fan. So he is going with his best friend and I can do massive catch up on X Factor and Dancing from these evening.

Busy week at work too so will not be here much. So hope that it will bring good news for Kelly, Kim and JB. Will also update you after my scan on Friday - hope the patches do there job!!!

Lots of Love
Carolyn
